Lampposts are designed to break when hit, as it's less expensive that way. they are screwed into the ground, but it only goes a few inches. Telephone wires are usually cemented in, why they don't break either

This is a really good game with a great sense of atmosphere, but the physics just feel so dull.
You know what would make me really happy, taking this game and blending it with GT physics. Seriously think about it.

Do you mean the car handling or the physics when you crash? If it's the crashing physics, than I can understand you, because burnout paradise's crashes were amazing.
Eric Smyrski The handling feels numb, I actually quite like the crashes. It's loose and just feels fundamentally wrong. The feedback simulators give you is just so superior and makes it feel more exciting even if the sensation of speed isn't as good. So I repeat, someone should really blend the two. The only game to even attempt it so far is NFS shift, and I bloody loved it for that

Eric Smyrski I know. The point I'm making is that people who make simulators refuse to add flair. Does it not occur to them that some people like both realistic handling and ludicrous style?
Yes, I know, most simulators are quite boring. Have you tried the GRID series yet? they have some pretty realistic driving and are pretty stylish. As I said, do not expect anything close to realism from Criterion. When they made and FPS, you could explode cars with one blast of a shotgun found about 3 feet away from the first level's start.

You should try some of the older NFS Games. In my opinion they are better and more funny.
This game was just a shame. It was so limited, and the soundtrack was the only thing good about this game (Maybe graphics as well). NFS Most Wanted 05 was SO much more better. In fact, instead of this 2012 Most Wanted, Criterion could've REMASTERED NFS Most Wanted 05.
+Chidori Lament It was really good with graphics and drifting as well as the amount of car selection, but it did NOT feel like Most Wanted. The Most Wanted list was none other but people who race in exotic cars. No explanation, no story, no customization of ANY parts except for color, and gets boring after a while.
+StewiebossFTW I've played most wanted '05 and loved it, however this looks like a great game. Having played and loved burnout paradise, I think this game looks great. Just play it and forget that it's called most wanted, problem solved!

And this is why you don't trust Burnout devs to make a Need for Speed game. Both good series, but a crash simulator shouldn't ever mix with an arcade racer.
Yet Burnout 3 is rated as one of the Greatest Arcade racing games ever and has a Crash mode.

Wait this Most Wanted's soundtrack...? This Most Wanted has the worst soundtrack I ever heard in a racing game, probably ever. Okay thats a bit of a stretch. There are some good songs, but why the hell is that "I don't care" song in this game? Just cause the lyrics say "I crash my car into a bridge" or some shit like that, doesn't mean its even a good song to race to. Like seriously! How am I suppose to get my head in the game with that annoying ass song? I thought this was fucking NEED FOR SPEED, what happened to the Disturbed, Mastodon, and Avenged Sevenfold from the REAL MW? or that badass "nine thou" song, that was like the theme for the game.

Bought this game just from this review, and it is genuinely addictive fun!
For anyone who cares, the online has a separate unlock system where you basically get achievements, and you have to unlock mods by getting chieves, and unlocking cars by reaching levels. Even so, it's really balanced, and a good driver with a low level is still a good driver. The multiplayer is similar to burnout paradise as well.
I would be a 720P guy, IF THE VIDEO HAD 720P!

The older NFS games were a lot better than this one. I feel like this one lost the sort of underground racing feel of Carbon, Underground, and the old Most Wanted.

i finaly realised why trees are indistructable to cars its because all the roots are litteraly HUGE and HUGGING the ground like they dont let go thats why they cant chop trees down from the root.
