hi guys welcome to part 1 on custom painting a vw t4 bonnet today's video we start the prep work enjoy the video guys thanks for watching and supporting the channel dredfx
Hats off to you guys who do this type of work. It’s an art form all on its own and of the highest standard. I am totally hooked on watching these vids👍
Cyril it's what I do every working day and people I think dont realise what goes into it to achieve a decent finish , that VW is no way a show job it will be an every day runner when finished this vid just shows you how to achieve a decent finish it wont be a head turner but it'll look tidy 😉😉😉
Dean it’s witchcraft to me. The trouble is there are people out there who ruin the trade by convincing gullible customers - yes I have been one - into believing they are getting a top rate paint job but in reality are being ripped off. You can’t just walk into your trade, you have to train and want to do it which is why I am in awe of you and Rob.
@@Cyril-eu4gf thankyou Cyril for your kind words and yes it can be a rip off by some chancers if a quote seems to good to be true it means it eint buy cheap pay twice some are just chasing the buck but the majority are genuine keep that in mind mukka in all walks off life 😉😉
Hey Rob, enjoyed the video mate I like to see the prep work on these jobs as everyone does it differently so it's useful for picking up tips and bits that makes it easier, looking forward to the next one🙏👍
Thanks for showing what most dont see pressed parts eint worth the hassle fettetling and trying to make fit so it's either new parts or make the old good again there eint no magic wand or no bag of fairy dust it's just hard graft and following a process well done mukka absolute pain I know 😊😊😊
It took me almost 2 days to clean my workshop after stripping two beat up harley fenders and a tank. People are unaware how much work is involved in this kind of projects
Great vid, I actually like the prep side of things. Looking forward to the next one!

Why wouldn't you paint strip or sand bare metal the lot asking for trouble leaving shit aerosol paint left on there
This bonnet is a free bee so the more time I spend on it it's costing me
