People always forget that Ariel was more than fine with just splashing around in the water to get his attention. She only became human only after her dad came into her room and destroy all her stuff in an attempt to keep her in line.

They were right when they first singled out Aurora as the worst. Most every other Disney Princess at least has at least a shred of *character*. They learn a lesson, go on an adventure, are usually proactive to some degree even if it's just demonstrating some sense of self-preservation, etc. Even Snow White, the OG Disney Princess had at least a little bit of personality and was able to interact with most of the characters in the story. Aurora though is just a sheltered girl and is absolutely second or third fiddle in Sleeping Beauty compared to Maleficent and the Fairy Godmothers. No lessons learned or real agency ever shown. Still fucking love Sleeping Beauty though. Three old ladies as the protagonists was at least a fun mix up of the formula.
Snow White is a major driving force in her own film. Her kindness and empathy towards others is what ultimately made the Hunter to falter, the Dwarfs to get over their initial prejudice and protect her and, paradoxically, caused the Queen to hate her (I always interpreted being the "fairest of them all" was more of a personality trait than based on appearance alone). I sadly can't say the same about Aurora. On another note, I think Tiana's pretty much the best Disney princess up until she turns into a frog.
And now disney is dead set on making disney princesses full of energy and personality with active protagonist, ironically making them all feel the same and making them all forgettable.
Ariel's problem as a character is that she always wants something and someone else is doing it for her, which I don't know is coincidence or intentional since her character is just fighting authority figure and misplacing her guiding figures only to get what she wants

I was actually subscribed to Johosafats Studios for the longest time (back when they he still did reviews of Naruto manga chapters in fact) and I always rewatched his animation of the SBFP (with so many favourites like this one, “The Strongest Stand in JoJo”, “Pat ordering drones from a certain horse site”, “discussing Netflix’s Luke Cage”, “Sonic Dreams Collection”, “Matt summarising Naruto’s Ending” and so on). One day, I tried to search for his videos and I couldn’t find them, only to realise his channel got deleted (I think it might have been his last videos of doing a Let’s Play that made RUclips act like be a massive jerk). Donald put in so much work and devotion into his videos and RUclips just took it all away. He has a Tumblr and I even made an account just to try to personal message him to ask what happened to his channel but he never responded. At that time, it honestly made me so sad that all of his videos were just gone forever until I saw this in my feed. Seriously, man, thank you so much for this.
Have to disagree on Ariel or Aurora being the worst. Ariel herself already had a strong desire to see the surface, and only made the decision to turn human after her father destroyed her collection of objects from the surface. Ariel might not have developed much, but I see Little Mermaid as a cautionary tale for parents that shunning your child's interests will have them turn to people who don't have their best interests at heart. Aurora herself I find hard to describe but I saw quite a few Disney films recently and Pocahontas is easily worse than either of them. She's the one Disney Princess I've seen seen so far that feels like she completely lives up to the trope of "Woman whose only character trait is fawning over a man".

Bro Tiana is the QUEEN and is the top tier disney princess. Imagine with me, we are in the deep south of 1930's-1950's New Orleans. Almost everybody down there during this time are racist to black people. And here we got TIANA! This chick works 3 jobs, doesn't a wink of sleep and hopes to make her dear old daddy who served in the military proud after he's already passed away years ago. She saves money for several years, only to be out bid and 2 white men telling her to give up on her dreams and that she shouldn't run a restaurant because she is black. I will say this, the whole turning into a frog and going onto finding Mama Odie was a bit ehhhhh. But knowing the sacfice that Tiana she has to go through and seeing her and Prince Naveen get along while also being complete opposites was incredible. Both Mulan and her are one of the best Disney princesses I've ever seen. P.S this was all written by a white guy...
The best disney princess has to be Merida in Brave. She goes, "fuck you guys I don't want to get a husband, these options suck I'm going my own way" and then fucks up and curses her mother into a bear which she immediately goes to try to fix, discover her villain, escapes him because she knows she can't fight him and her mother in an act of true love saves her. The best disney princess and movie second only to Mulan

Donald just drew and animated all his own stuff either with his own voice saying his thoughts about manga chapters or movies or over audio from the Super Best Friends and the Game Grumps (who I believed wouldn’t have minded it being used in fanmade videos and even liked, Pat and Liam even mention watching one of his videos in Part 7 of their Let’s Play of Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain). I think RUclips deleted his channel because of either his last videos which were his Let’s Play of the PS2 game War of the Monsters or maybe a video titled a certain way called horse____ ___ ___.
The real hero here for the re-up load, the worst part for me is my cousin s and I had literally this exact conversation when we were younger my grandfather walked in on us after I ranted on the little mermaid lol memories
