If u don’t have god tier mechanics play characters you can fully optimize your value on is my tip for lower ranked players. If you’ve got amazing mechanics fully optimize it on bap zen and Ana. If you have really good game sense fully maximize that potential on mercy brig lucio Moira.

    It's always extremely easy to identify people who are or who are trying to be good teachers, and flats is one of them. He's not making his criticism personal, and he's not being mean. He's not saying "you're such a bad player for doing X." He's pointing to specific incidents of wonky play and offering alternatives. There's not enough criticism done like this, and it's good to see.

  • @Void6-
    @Void6- 3 года назад +63

    Their mechanical skills are fine. Their game sense is the part thats lacking as Flats pointed out. But I would also say, I see them VERY slow at the decision making, they kinda take a really long time to decide who to heal, turning around, etc. Once they acquired their target and they know what to do they hit the shots, but once things become a bit hairy or multiple teammates are at low health he kinda freezes just enough for their team to get killed.
    They said on the comments they got out of silver and are now gold, so props to them and Flats for being an educational strumer

    i feel like you kinda have to be a "healbot" in lower ranks because otherwise you get screamed at by your dps and tanks for not enough healing even though you just came back to killing an enemy dps that YOUR dps couldnt take care of even after you called it out in comms

      Let me say one thing as a plat Player. Nobody in Bronze to Gold is able to take care of a pharmercy bc of the hitscan nerf. When im smurfing for example the first thing i always need to do is kill the mercy then the pharah .
      These Things will never earn the appreciation of your Team even tho you just won the teamfight by yourself.
      Besides there a reasons these people are low elo. It doesnt matter what theyre saying bc theyre just garbage. Never waste your time talking to idiots. I always go ana when they have that the other Support needs to go moira or bap. Bap is best but the people down there dont know how to play him.

    Playing genji made me a better player. Aside from being punished heavily for having bad aim. I also learned the value and utility of my kit. Any good genji would know how wasting there abilities is just a death sentence. Also opportunising when enemies waste there utilities is often overlook. I feel like a lot of what keeping people from climbing is not realizing how much potential there one player can have.

  • @Skitzotech
    @Skitzotech Год назад

    @49:00 The height advantage has a hidden 3rd effect that not many people realize.
    If you are up high (like the HD representation on the screen) it also cuts what the enemies see of you when you head peak them.
    If you perfectly walk forward to the ledge, far enough that you can see the entire enemy (head to toe). From the enemies point of view they will only be able to see your head... Maybe your neck...
    So you have the added advantage of being able to shoot at their entire body while they can only shoot at a third of yours.

    I know this is an older video, but I recently picked up OW2 and have become addicted to your content.
    I just learn so many little things on literally every single video I watch - on how to play the characters myself, what to watch out for when playing against them, and even what to be aware of with certain characters on my own team. Not even talking about general mechanical advice that applies to anyone and everyone. You just do such a great job on explaining things, instead of acting like all this stuff goes without saying. So many situations where I'd be like, "I am getting my ass kicked, and I know it's my fault but I do not know what to do about it." And you've made a lot of them clear as crystal.
    I wish more people did what you did, but I can't seem to find them. Just watching a video or two of yours every day, I went from initially ranked Silver 4 to now Gold 4 in just two weeks. So thank you very much.

    One thing I have seen climbing through lower elos is sometimes they will actually make good positioning moves but if it does not work once they will give up and take subpar positioning. Don't give up good positioning just because it did not work once because the next fight is going to be different since CD usage and ults charge is going to be different. No 2 fights are the same so don't handicap yourself just because the right play did not work the first time.

    I think the real reason the ana in this match was so aggressive with the enemy rein, is to show in some sort of way, where flat stands... as a rein.

    I found this much more helpful than ana vod reviews from support mains tbh. a lot more generalizable and relatable advice here rather than super specific and niche things you hear elsewhere.

    As soon as he said it’s like football my already growing love for overwatch jus expanded exponentially. This my favorite OW player easily

    I like your comments about mechanics being your last resort. You should make good decisions first, and make mechanical plays second. Thats what makes the pros, pros.
