Patsy Cline was the most soulful country singer (in my opinion)
Brenda Lee was right up there.
I don't know there's so many greats, she's certainly one of them but dolly Parton, willy Nelson, waylon jennings, I would name more but I'm terrible with artist names. Patsy was a great gal though
@@alecneate76 LOL That is why I said in my opinion even writing that my head was saying but there are othersLOl
No question. Just something about her voice that really touches you deeply.
country?... just edit that word out of your comment!
You never have an unkind word to say about any singer. You are special, hope you know that.
Before Patsy died in a plane crash at the age of 30 she said "If it's my time to go, it's my time to go". Her most popular song is: Crazy
She was before my time, but we know she had mega talent.
She died with two other country singers in that plane, Hawkshaw Hawkins, 41, and Cowboy Copas, 49.
San Antonio Rose is my gem.
100% one of the purest voices ever recorded.
Too true! Another one for purity...Alison Krauss
reddragonready - without question!!!!💯
TRUTH 100%
Yes
You’ll never hear a bad song by her. She had such a unique voice. 💙❤️
Amen! ❤
passed away way too early
It sounds like she has a teardrop in her voice.
Such a great take on Patsy!
Wow! What a beautifully perfect description!! Hope you don’t mind if I borrow it in the future..😘
My mother used to say the exact same thing.
I’m pinching this.
@@grahamboffey457 Go for it! That voice is undeniable. ♥
She has a one of a kind voice. lots of singers have tried to sound like her, but there is only one Patsy
True.
Nobody besides maybe Karen carpenter had a voice that you could hear their sadness in their voice. Patsy was one of a kind for sure.
Bingo!
LOVE Patsy Cline! "Walkin' After Midnight" is a must listen... and "She's Got You" You don't have to be a country fan to love Patsy Cline.
Yes Patsy had a sound which was unique, and i believe she could sing any style music.
She's Got You is in my top 5 Patsy songs ❤️
Everyone sleeps on she’s got you such a good song. And imagine that both incredible songs
"Crazy" by Patsy Cline written by Willie Nelson
I love that song
@Robin Queen here's JV reaction ruclips.net/video/24_Q7JOQUUM/видео.html
I Fall To Pieces was written by Harlan Howard and the legendary Hank Cochran.
The range and the vulnerability of her voice...a rare combination. Timeless performance.
Everyone loves Patsy
how could one not love her...that voice, amazing
Emotions of the heart are never dated. She died too young. Loretta Lynn was her close friend.
Another thing so amazing about these older recordings... they were done live.. no over dubs... no auto tune. Really talented people.
This lady has the voice I would imagine an angel has. So perfect, so clear, so smooth! ♥️
Nat King Cole is like that too
BobboNJ Hi, I want to check him out, I heard his daughter made a video & added him in it. I need to look that up 🤗
Gus Goose Hi, yes that would be a perfect welcome, I sure hope that’s where you’re heading but also hope it’s not anytime soon. For now we can settle on hearing her voice this way ✌🏻
missgmoma yes Unforgettable great duet!
BobboNJ awesome, I have a friend that said it’s very touching, I may look for it tonight. Would you know what’s the name of the song she made the video of?
One of the finest voices in history. She's singing with Elvis' back up singers
Not a big country fan, but I love Patsy Cline. Check out the bio pic about her life and death - Sweet Dreams.
Love that film
I love old country music, don’t care for the new stuff.
Bigtime voice. "She's Got You" "Shoes" "San Antonio Rose" some of her other hits
San Antonio Rose is one of my all time favorites!
Agreed. And add "Walkin' After Midnight", "You Belong to Me", and "Wayward Wind" to those already on your list.
She's got you is so under rated, but it's my personal favorite one of hers.
She's Got You is my most favorite of her songs. She had the most amazing voixe. The closest I have found in pure power is Janis Joplin.
She was young when she died in a plane crash.Patsy Cline was one of a kind!!!!!
I love Patsy
Patsy Cline was a good friend with Loretta Lynn. Loretta Lynn "Coal miners Daughter" Crystal Gail (sister to Loretta Lynn) "Don't it make my brown eyes blue"
I love Patsy Cline. My favorites is Walkin' After Midnight and Crazy
Try Patsy’s “If You’ve Got Leavin’ on Your Mind”
Love that one!
Other singers loved her voice, too. Loretta Lynn, the "Coal-Miner's Daughter," idolized Patsy and in the movie about Loretta's life, she's sleeping when the radio comes on and reports that Patsy had died in a plane crash. I still remember that scene from the movie, "Coal-Miner's Daughter."
She's one of the greatest singers ever, rare jewel for sure. The good die young, so many great musicians died way too young 💜💜💜
Blue Moon Of Kentucky, San Antonio Rose, Three Cigarettes in an Ashtray, all great songs
The most beautiful voice. It's like silk.
Or like butter?
Close your eyes as you listen to hear. Feels like a soothing touch...she made you FEEL! Listen to Crazy...all her songs are great!❤️
Crazy was my favorite song by Patsy.
Patsy Cline had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard! So powerful but lovely! She is incomparably the best of all time!
If you like Patsy Cline, you ought to listen to kd lang if you haven’t yet. I suggest her duet with Roy Orbison on “Crying.”
omg....i LOVE that song !
I met kd lang once.
yes!!!
Love KD Lang’s “Busy Being Blue “...I think you”ll like it too.
I really don't think kd lang comes close to Patsy.
I love all of her music. Listen to "Sweet Dreams"
Second this!!!
Third
Sweet Dreams is her best song
I could and I have listened to Patsy Cline all day. Such a beautiful soulful voice calms your mind down and makes your troubles disappear.
Easily one of the most recognizable voices, ever.
there's a song by Waylon Jenning and Willie Nelson called "Luckenbach Texas" it's a great song of the early '70s
I was 30 before I was introduced to Patsy Cline. My mother-in- law’s favourite artist. MIL passed away a few years later.
Hubby falls to pieces when he’s has a couple of 🍺 and this song comes on his Spotify playlist.
Patsy’s voice just makes you fall in love with her. I always loved listening to her. Puts you in a different place.
Patsy Cline was an amazing songbird. this song is my all time favorite followed by crazy.
"You should hear She's Got You by Patsy Cline." ❤
In my opinion. Patsy Cline had the best voice of any female singer then and now. The clarity in her voice can not be matched.
You just can't listen to Miss Patsy without gettin' the chilly bumps! Iconic!
Sweet dreams would be a good one to react too, realy shows off her voice.
You can feel her singing in your soul.Thank you for sharing this song.
The finest female singing voice of all time.
There was a movie of her life made in the 80s starring Jessica Lange and Ed Harris and shows how hard she had to work to find her way in an industry dominated by male Country stars. The movie title is one of my favourite songs by her, "Sweet Dreams"
Patsy was wonderful..strong and smooth voice...can feel the pain
Purest voice, I have all of her music. Love Patsy.
I hope you get to hear Patsy's "Faded Love." This is real tear-jerker, not only for the listener, but for her. In a very emotional recording session her producer sent her husband home He told him that Patsy needed to concentrate on this one last song. He sensed that Patsy was ready to create a real masterpiece. And she did. She actually sobs the last few notes.
She cried the whole way through this song. Wish there was time for a live performance of her singing Faded Love. She feels every song she sings. Love Patsy!
True that to everything you said, young Musicologist. Patsy tore us up and burned us down with every song she sang. Keep on. You have my full support, and I'm old.
Timeless…flawless… pure…
Patsy lived her life as she wanted. She left too soon. This is my favorite Patsy song.
"Sweet Dreams" by Patsy Cline, absolutely drips with emotion. You really can't go wrong with a Patsy Cline song. She does a great "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and "San Antonio Rose"
Used to work in a diner with a jukebox and got to listen to a lot of 60s music. Very chill vibe
Very good choice. My mom was a country western singer and rhythm guitar player in night clubs back in the 60's and 70's and audiences loved it when she covered Patsy. Mom had a very similar voice and could bring an audience to their knees singing. I followed in her footsteps and as a result, the biggest tip I ever got was when I covered Patsy's "Crazy." A guy stuffed $20 down the front of my dress. I still love Patsy's music today. It's timeless.
you assessed her voice just right. She was her own voice and emanated her own feeling in that voice.
Greatest female singer ever! You rarely heard anyone try to cover her.❤️🤘🏻
This is my favorite of her many wonderful songs. The Queen.
Yeah, Patsy Cline's voice was really something special 💗🙏
Patsy Cline had the ability of putting emotions and energy into her songs, while singing slowly. I loved her voice as a young girl.
My favorite Patsy song. Good choice!
She was one of the greats. 🥰
Patsy Cline( 1950's) and Janis Joplin( mid 1960's and early 70's) 2 great female voices. So much soul, blues and so heartfelt. You could hear the passion in their voices and their souls.
Love Patsy Cline, glad to share that appreciation with your reactions
Wow WOW right?? Still after all these years she still has the ability to move us with her haunting voice.
Perfect voice.
Beautiful voice. Another great voice gone way too young. 💖💖💔
Turd Ferguson Her too?! What is it with these talented vocalists? 💜🕊
Sherlock Hemlock Yeah, mate. Plane crash. She was only 30. What a sad loss. 💔
She always gives me goosebumps when I hear her sing. My older sister got to see her at her high school way back when.
Leanne Rimes knocked it out of the park with the Patsy Cline covers.
Definitely worth a listen if you are a patsy Cline fan
And Mandy Barnett
Patsy is so beloved by all Country fans, young and old. She is a legend. I can't imagine how many times this song has been played on jukeboxes. If would be fun to hear Miley cover this. Thanks for a sweet reaction. 💕
Yes, she was such a raw talent, just her incredible voice, with no artificial help like recording artists need today.
The lyrics of this song will hit people as long as the world lasts. Most people will recognize these feelings. It will never get old. Being in love with someone who does not reciprocate your feelings makes you feel like falling to pieces.
Recorded in 1960 and released in 1961 I first heard it on my Dad's car radio and loved it even at 4 years old!! I still love this song in 2024 at age 67!!
Patsy was one of those rare gifts that God loaned to us for only a short while. What an amazizng voice she had.
"Walkin After Midnight" and "Crazy" are songs I can't help to sing along to because I feel them so much. I don't sing out loud ever except to these songs.
This song was a cross over hit for Patsy, it reached #8 on the country charts and it hit #16 on the pop charts. I Fall To Pieces was written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard. Her time on Earth was short, she was on a plane with her pilot, Randy Hughes, and two other legendary country singers, Hawkshaw Hawkins, and Cowboy Copas were also on the plane. They were headed to Nashville, Tennessee but they crashed in Camden, Tennessee and all aboard the plane died. She was 30 years old.
The best female voice ever!!!
Nobody does heartbreak like Patsy! Love those background singers.....so cool and soulful.
Patsy Cline love her voice and the way she carried herself back when she was alive. Rip Patsy you are still loved and always will be. Your music's legendary.
I fell in love with Patsy when I was just 8 years old! Her song "crazy" is my favorite song of all time!! Written by Willy Nelson!!!
This is a great song. It’s one of the many songs my sister used to sing in the country clubs in California. Miss you sis 😇 RIP. “Wayward Wind” is my favorite song by. Patsy Cline.
This is my very favourite one from Her. I love how she goes down with Her voice near to the end.
I really like her song Crazy. Gone way too soon!!
The swell of her voice singing "through pieeeeeceees !" OMG !
Patsy & Karen...my Angel voices😇😇
She was so talented. And the legend doesnt die just because the singer did. Shes singing in Heaven.❤
One of a kind voice, died too soon. Crazy, yes, the most famous and incredible. So moving. Leann Rimes sang that one later when she was so young and sounded more like Patsy than anyone I think I've heard. Thanks so much for bringing back the memories with these songs. Don't forget the incredible voice like Karen Carpenter, a voice you never ever forget! Take care.
love this song so much.
One of the best female voices of any genre..ever! Super unique and controlled voice. I listen to her best hits album and it sets me in a mood...love her
Patsy’s voice is other-worldly. Such a unique quality to it. It’s like she’s a Steinway piano, and other singers are working with a kazoo by comparison. It’s just soooo rich. I love singing along to tunes in the car, but I always hesitate to sing aong with her... because I don’t like messing with perfection.
Her voice will give you chills.
I love Patsy Cline I listened to her when I was a little girl. My mom loved her and Loretta Lynn. She was another one taken too soon. RIP Patsy💕💕
Her voice was just so pure no filters
This is a genius recording. The arrangement is very spare and simple, but the opening is amazing to me for this reason: the drum tempo, the tremolo of the guitar, and the tremolo of her voice are matching perfectly in the opening line of the song. Everything, down to vibration level, is aligned. It's really amazing and beautiful. Don't know if it was her idea, a brilliant producer running the session, a happy accident or simply that she was able to instinctively put this one together just because it felt right and the producer recognized it or...I'll shut up now. Doesn't really matter, I'm just happy that it was captured and lives on, this one hit me 30 years ago, took a while to figure out why I liked it so much.
Voice of an angel, given back to the universe, but still giving here...
Thanks for the reaction, keep em coming
Pasty will never disappoint you sweetheart, she has the most beautiful voice and her emotions show how she understands the emotions she is singing about. I love listening to her though she can make me tear up at times and I have sat with my late Mum while she cried listening to her songs. Mum was part Italian though a corn blonde but her emotions were always evident bless her. Thank you for posting this wonderful song, take care and stay safe please my friends. Love hugs and peace, God bless you all Mary-Ellen UK
OMG I just came across your show as I pumped in BRENDA LEE,I was in the mood to listen to her .I was shocked to see a younger guy LOVIN Brenda Lee! She was my fave girl singer back in 1959!I was 11yrs old.She still is my best singer ever to this day. Love your Heart n Soul carried away ,like I was back then 😘
The three best country female singers of all time....Patsy Cline, Anne Murray and Karen Carpenter....Although Anne And Karen were often doing pop as well.....STUNNING 'timbre' and beauty in their voices.
The Queen of Heartbreak!
Try She’s Got You!!
And The Wayward Wind!
I never heard Wayward Wind by Patsy Cline. The radio version was by Gogi Grant.
@@bonniebaltz5717 listen on RUclips n hit me back
One of the finest C-W recordings ever made. Wonderful. What a great great voice.
"Always" and "Faded Love" should be on your list of Patsy Cline songs to react to. But there are no bad choices in the Patsy Cline songbook.
I have been a Patsy Cline fan since the 60s and it's so refreshing to hear you say wonderful things about her.
I love Patsy Cline! She was amazing!
Every note a splendor. What a voice...so velvety and rich. Totally unique. For a very different example of her vocal ability check out "Blue Moon Over Kentucky". It's just incredible what she can do.
Written by Hank Cochran and Harlan Howard. Saw Cochran perform before he died at the Flora Bama in Perdido Key Fl. songwriter's festival. ... Thrilled to sit within feet from him and think about how he created this song for Patsy and listen to his stories about her. RIP
