Jesus h they make beautiful guitars. That Name (Green) one is just stunning. I've played guitar on and off for almost 30 years and I've been converted from to Gibson to PRS. I just love my new SE semi-hollow.
The McCarty’s are exactly how the new 59’ R9 60th’s need to sound. To have a new guitar sound THAT much like a vintage instrument with PAF’s, is truly something special.
I played my first PRS in the early 1990s and have loved them ever since. I currently own a 1999 McCarty which weighs just over 7 lbs and resonates like an old acoustic. I love that girl and you'll have to tear her out of my cold dead hands to get your own grubby mitts on her.
I could hear a bit of difference on the SE but there is a vast difference on the core! The SE might be modeled after the core but something is very different about the implementation/manufacturing of the pups, or the rest of the electronics...At least that's what I am hearing.
idk, seemed pretty obvious to me, and I'm not even a fan of coil splitting, plus it was just the TV sound I was hearing it on. I'm more like the demo guy, I prefer single coils on a single coil guitar, and hums on a hum guitar.
Beery I’d agree that there was an obvious difference between the full humbucker and split sounds on both guitars. I would also say that there was also an obvious difference between the SE version and the Core guitar and of course the Core guitar sounded better.
PRS wants to make pickups a big mystery when it's really not. The science and actual work factors in making single coil and humbuckers has existed for years. Manufacturers use the same parts to varying degrees. Tell all the top manufacturers to make a PAF style alnico 2 neck pickup wound to a 7.8ohm spec and they are all going to sound the same. It's magnets(type/strength), wire, screws/slugs and optional cover. The later manufacturers made/make a go of it by putting more string winds and call it a 'super' or 'hot'. In some instances even fewer winds than Seth Lovers originals. Lot of players feel that less winds yields a sweeter more mellow sound. Leroy Parnell for example. Joe Bonamassa is on video saying that the original PAF's were "not as powerful". People are willing to pay thousands for an original set. More power or less power doesn't make a player a better player or yield superior sound. Hot pups just drives an amp quicker. You can buy a winder and the same materials to wind your own pups. That's how all the 'after market' manufacturers started. One pup at a time.
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do you distinguised an American Made PRS from an Asian Made if the late US production guitars don't have any "Made in..." in the back of the headstock (Sounds Stupid, but true... Why not stamping a Big & Proud MADE IN THE US back there???) - Cheers from Peru
@@chrislandrum62 It is not. I think people should know those guitars (in my experience) are not that well made. PM me if you want. I'll send you the pictures of the fingerboard
That it does, borrowed a core Paul's from a friend and it does a killer job no matter what you throw at it. The resonance of the whole thing had me constantly honing in my muting technique though.
That CE looks like *shit* compared to mine. Why the ugly washed out top? Why is the rose wood fretboard so light in color? Apparently I got super lucky (eh... still had to set it up when i got home), almost every CE I pick up now feels and looks cheap for the 2k price tag.
So what coolaid do you drink? Gibson cherry berry? Or maybe fruity Fender? I get where your comment is rooted but everyone who plays has their "out of my price range" guitar that they dream about and you came off as a bit of a D bag. No offence. Have a great day.
come on ,sorry .but you got to know the prices ,wow ,thats kind of ridiculous, I still would buy because Mr PRS sell it for me, its also premier guitars fault you go to interview about a product and know nothing about it , HOW LAZY CAN YOU BE EFFEN IDIOTS, HOW DO YOU RUN A MAGAZINE LIKE THAT !, you dont have to be exact with prices but they have them in the sweetwater catalogue if you want to look it up lol
just two gran ,hey psssst ill sell you one in blew cheep buddy what are we in the mafia lol I grew up single coil player wtf! ,i sell houses but i never lived in a two story house so bear with me the second floor is good lol what a disaster , we dont need your experience sell the guitar your trying to sell, I dont care this guy should do internet sales ,does he even own a PRS

I'am a sucker for PRS guitars, it is perfectly how a perfect electric guitar should be and is.

Recently got a 594 hollowbody, it’s immediately become my workhorse. Such a satisfying tone

Good Player…Beautiful guitars. I like that he demoed more as a player than a salesman.
For me, this is the most exciting announcement of NAMM 2019 hands down! I will be getting one of these ASAP. Come on IRS, send me my check. LOL
Hey Shawn...nice surprise to see you doing this interview. I just bought the se Paul’s in aqua. Best guitar I’ve ever had.
Love that new model, the “595”.
Love that CE Hollowbody.
Bought one in an outrageous blue black burst
Jeez that first hollowbody sounds SO nice!
So it should for £5000 or whatever...
Man I love that SE Aqua 😍
brian91145 me too man , it's goegeous
brian91145 yup
Trampas green is gorgeous.
Bryan is the nicest guy.
I love PRS but could not tell much of a dif between the split & non on the blue SE. The core was much dif. 594 was delicious

maybe you should buy a DAC and some new headphones.
This whole interview this guy tries really hard not to say “fender”
True
And PRS knocks Fender's dick in the dirt. What's your point?
What do you do about intonation is you can't adjust each string separately?
594 Hollowbody II is an amazing guitar! Near 5K for a non-ten top 😬 Guess I should have worked less on guitar, and more on the Law? 🤔
Just get an SE and swap the pickups. No one could tell
I just realized guitars don't really sound more "expensive"
A playa. I bought the ce 24 semi hollow based solely on this vid. And I’m a fender man

PRS doesnt make pickups a secret Mr PRS went over the pickups
Why does the title say McCarty 595 Hollowbody ? Isn't that a McCarty 594 Hollowbody II ????
i really wish they sounded the same because i cant afford a core but.....
Those pup rings are pretty cool
Casino guitar is also a great place to check out.

That commercial song at the start?
PRS ce24 semi hollow are good, but I had some problem with mine: after just few months the fingerboard separated from the neck.
RobertBilla I've noticed you cut and paste this on every single prs video... Seems suspect
@@chrislandrum62 It is not. I think people should know those guitars (in my experience) are not that well made. PM me if you want. I'll send you the pictures of the fingerboard
Never seen so much PRS hate before...
It’s 594, not 595.
Making me really think hard about ...do I really want a Fender...cracking guitars!
same bridge on the CE as an SE. holy cow
Does the PRS paul guitar do metal?
Yes
That it does, borrowed a core Paul's from a friend and it does a killer job no matter what you throw at it. The resonance of the whole thing had me constantly honing in my muting technique though.
Those bird fret markers are...(fill in the blank)
Why does Bryan keep saying “they”? Doesn’t he work for PRS?
@Pat Howell Nonetheless, it seems odd; like continually referring to oneself in the third person.
hes referring to the actual guitar builders, since hes not a builder he probably doesnt want to take credit for making the guitars
Don’t know the price for the core guitars, but spouts out the CE price ! Haha he knows the price just doesn’t want to say $7,000 and up
he is always mentioning “im a single coil player” he should be demoing at fender
sfear6 He just needs to play a Silver Sky.
There all “Paul’s guitars”. His name is on all of them.
So many different models
Its just me or that SE had better split tone than core series ?
If you have to save $20 a week, beg on the corner, sale your first born son, or work two jobs. A PRS is worth it!!!
lol that shit did not sound similar at all. Huge price difference, but you can hear the difference for sure.
Love Prs. But they should change a few guitars into different designs . Doing the same as fender or Gibson in this days does not go ahead in time

Just hard to pay 1000 for an Indonesian made guitar when a USA made can be had for about the same money (and I like Paul and PRS)
Grant Mecozzi ....but you have to consider that this is an indo prs. I just bought the Paul’s SE and it’s amazing.
@@MikaelLewisify I agree , they’re impressive.
How he is trying to sell Voodoo bullshit
So overpriced
Paul Reed Smith is an extremely rude snob.
Maybe he just gets tired of hearing the same stupid questions all the time. He is after all, brilliant
Don't worry koolaid drinkers, the new "Paul's Guitar" with his embedded fingerprints will come out in 2 years in three colors for $35,000.
So what coolaid do you drink?
Gibson cherry berry? Or maybe fruity Fender?

Boring boring Brian
