Hey there Joseph 👋🏻 Great to see ya buddy. It’s great to see tht u have been just focusing/working on yourself. Oftentimes we get caught up in other “things “ and we lose ourselves. Sometimes we don’t find our way back out of the place we have allowed ourselves to go either. Great job my friend, u got this. Safe travels 🙏🫶🏻😎
If it matters, keep it all here in one place, Joseph. I get some don't like certain videos, but I never understood why people split their channels into two. Obviously, I'm on the outside, looking through your window and maybe the YT metrics say it's better to have different channels. But I don't get people complaining about certain content when they can just choose not to watch it. A great mystery to me. I enjoy watching and listening to you and that's part of whatever it is you are doing. Your life in the van IS part of the wild. To many, your life is the wild. ☺😉👍✌🤘🤙
I 💛that you are concentrating on self-care. You can't give from a empty vessel. I hate to be negative but with Dometic's excuse can we say planned obsolescence? For cleaning the fridge - vinegar then put a box of baking soda in and leave it cracked open - bye, bye smell
The whole reason I built my van is so I can get out in the wild I probably won’t dive but I do really enjoy seeing under the water through your videos😊
Hi Joseph, for the smell, I would recommend stuffing newspapers into the fridge and leave it for a few days and like magic, the smell will be gone. This works - trust me. Hope you get this message.
Baking soda, dish soap paste cleaner for your fridge rubber seals to help remove the stink as well. Rinse with vinegar, water. Good luck in all you do Joseph. Best wishes for a Happy New Year!!!
Hi Joseph. thought of you today and how I haven't seen a video for awhile. Exercise helped me through challenging times and I know it'll help you. It's important to be proactive before getting old and having health issues. Way to go.
small changes in a small space sometimes make a HUGE difference! Everytime I make a little change in my car camping setup, it makes me SOO excited to see if THIS is the answer ive been looking for. not sure how a track system in the front window would work... having it bottom to top, i think it would block your defrost/defog vent along the bottom of your windshield. gym content is a nice little add in for sure! I am one of those people... need to make a change... need to do more to make life easier... ive done it before... i can do it again... but damn its just soo fricken hard to get going and form a routine and habit of it, and then if I miss, i get all up in my head that now im a failure... why bother? ugh. soo my own worst enemy! Social media is a very funny thing... I will always remember the meme I saw with the shiney perfectly red apple looking in the mirror... that had a giant bite out of its back... no one really knows what goes on behind the scenes in people's life. Dude! dont start a new channel and split it! I know listening to the algorithm is how you make more pennies... but BLAH! Your channel, your life... all the aspects from van life to the great outdoors! I love that you have gotten into diving! I used to be an avid swimmer with amazing breath control, now... not soo much... but I LOVE getting to see the underwater ecosystem!! Thank you for just being you! Keep up that awesomeness!
Hello Joseph. I'm having a rough day dealing with the black dog and my PTSD... that song you opened with - great song that drew me right in. Thanks as always for sharing your wild insides / thoughts ... it is appreciated.
First van lifer to actually use the gym!! Yeah! You go, Joseph!! 😊 good on you! All jokes aside, re good on you. I k ow that I always feel bettee when I go. Sending good vibes!!
Working on one’s personal development is an essential process in becoming “whole”. Glad to see you doing this and that you want to share, and risk whatever consequences that may result. Most of your respondents seem to be encouraging, positive. I encourage you also to keep a written journal, which offers a more private platform for personal exploration. In 10 years you can read your notes and see how far you’ve come. Keep on keeping on. (Do you know that this phrase comes out of an old wartime song?)
Go ahead and wipe the fridge down again, find something to prop open the fridge, mold has a tendency to grow if you don't... get a box of refrigerator baking soda and leave it inside.. It will help with the smell.
Thank you for this video I my self need to take my body back at 6.7 and 300 ,lol if I got down on my knees I would need to roll out of my van great video!
I so much miss lifting my weights equal ... it helps my stress as well as body fitness. I can no longer grasp or hold with my left hand --- it is partially crippled from fighting off intruder. Hand surgery needed but cannot get it done. I digress ...but yes I miss so much my weights ❤️⭐️
I also made my fridge slide size for my Iceco. When the previous one went south after 11 months, they sent me a new one-and so far it's working fine, it survived 100 degree heat in August, so I hope it keeps working, but it worries me. I've only found one fridge that will fit the space-next time I'll allow a few more inches, just in case. I hope your parts fix it. Thanks for the workout widsom too.
Love that you are taking better care of yourself. It shocked me when you were talking about your weight but then it occurred to me that you were not talking pounds. I do enjoy all of the things you share on here. I especially like the fact that you are self reflecting on things because it helps everyone else to understand and reflect on themselves. Maybe not everyone but you know. Your empathy and sensitivity is what drew me to this channel in the beginning and your incredible skills and various talents have been greatly appreciated. I’m sorry that others only care about the van life things because after a while that gets repetitive a least on other channels that I used to watch. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Hey Joseph, I enjoy Sharing the Wild and feel you have found a really nice balance of van life, and how you move thru your days either in the van or by sharing adventures in the wild. I am not a fan of the hunting, but it is also a fact of feeding yourself in the wild. You respect the animal you harvest and I respect that, I just cannot watch it. Otherwise, I do watch all your videos and thoroughly enjoy them. Keep up the amazing work.
I'm still binging to get caught-up, but hope the fridge repair goes well. Prop's to Mark for finding the part and figuring a possible fix, and sharing with you. I hope, if it does get fixed, Dometic feels shame for not making more of an effort. I get the many reasons for them not having the spare part. It's business. But to be less than honest about it not being serviceable is a bad look. Devices like this are often made with off the shelf parts and not anything custom or unique to a brand when it comes to the electronics. There's a good chance if one can glean the part number of the component, a place like Digikey with have it or a suitable stand in. All one needs is the know-how and tools. Hopefully, if the repair is successful, you or Mark can make a video of the repair and sourcing the parts. I'd imagine this kind of "Sharing the Fix" could save a ton of waste and save folks a ton of money! Fingers crossed!
Hello Joseph! You're doing so well on your self develop & health! So proud of you! 🤗I joined your subscribed when I saw it on Chromes channel as well as Emmys & Lorens! Cool, glad you talked about those window covers and what you made them from....oh and shifting that fridge to fix that issue is a statisfaction reward for sure. Adventure on my friend.
I was a subscriber while I was doing vanlife, which ended 6/23. Loved the non-vanlife sections as well that you covered, and resubscribed when you started sharing more personal struggle/life stuff. Appreciate your honesty and being open to opening yourself in the videos. As to a separate channel? Seems like you keep combining things, but guessing if you see a dropoff in subbers, then maybe a separate channel for each. If you do, to me, I'd keep Sharing the Wild for your personal stuff, and set up a second channel for pure vanlife stuff. Works either way for me! Good luck.
Little bit of Gabor and Teal?… I’ve seen a camp mat like that at Canadian tire. Wouldn’t say it was cheap tho. I think like 25-30$. If u do market place, I’ve found some on there as well. Good luck.
Is tgatvrain hitting your van that I hear? I like your wiid sharing focus. It's what sets you apart from other van life you tubers. I guess ir's just me, but I thinknit's important fir people to see there are countkess ways to do vanlife just like countless ways to live anywhere. Take care Joseph. In the end it's your life and your channel(s) to create however you want. Your right and perfect followers will find you.
Re: Your windows. Does the grey foam stand out from outside the van? I always thought maybe black would be better. Thinking being that it would maybe blend visually and just look like a dark van interior or tint and not as noticeable as a window cover. My hope is LCD windows come down the pipe. Have them default to clear, but when you lock the car, *blink*, they go solid black, or better yet mirror. Radiant heat from the sun and security was my reasoning. But perfect for Vanners.
@@SharingTheWildCan say I've seen black foam, other than the puzzle edge floor mats. Maybe custom cut pieces of 1/8 sheet (ply or plexi) Either paint flat black or cover one side with a matte black fabric like felt. Another thing that occurred to me was black acetate film. Ultra light weight, can be rolled up, and should just stick to the windows on it's own. Maybe Industrial Paint/Plastic. They have clear I believe. Either of those could work if painted flat black on the inside. Might be worth trying a small window first to see how it sticks and how the paint holds. I've got flat black Tremclad in the shop if you want.
@@wingnutbert9685 yes I have thought about gluing fabric to the foam covers I have. Black on one side and white on the other. Also thought about paint too, but I haven't bothered with emitter yet. I kind like the idea on 1/8 ply on the inside too as that would make them more rigid.
I'm trying to find a workout routine that I like and takes up little space. Right now I'm working with a kettlebell and trying to figure out a good full body routine that's not too complex like Turkish getups. Do you use kettle bells and have favorite workouts with them?
Any thoughts on full body workout - caveat being 8 weeks out of rotator cuff surgery so nothing related to the shoulder (and my “good shoulder” is shot as well. Any thoughts on adding yoga concepts towards recovery, restrengthening, and general weight loss (core strength and aerobic)?
Joseph, you sound conflicted when it comes to sharing your interests on RUclips. I think you first have to ask yourself why your choosing to do it and is it adding quality to or taking it away from your life? You are talented enough to find a job in several fields of employment. As much as we get great enjoyment from your video's and others may like to critique them, it's your life and you need to put your daughter and yourself on the top of your priority list. How else can you succeed in finding contentment and peace of mind? Personally I feel it's an impossible feat without God as my first priority as he is the empowerment I need to enrich and accomplish all my goals in life. I'm 68 and it took me lots of trials and tribulations to come to this conclusion but I'll reserve this as my truth and allow others their own right to discovering what's true for themselves. Joseph you don't owe us anything, I thank you for the positive affect you've had on us and wish you an amazing future. ❤ 😊😊😊 .
Don't leave a fridge closed when not plugged in. It will smell. You need to leave it slightly open and maybe put a box of baking soda in it.
Self-care is extremely important, too easy to let our own self down.
I love all aspects of your channel.
Much love 🤗 🤗
Perhaps Chrome’s friends at SoCozy could hook you up with window blockers?✌🏻💕
I was thinking that too. Sokozi does coverings for the dodge grand caravan but the front windshield alone is $295.00. Not sure what model van Joseph has.
Was thinking the same thing. Chrome's supplier can look at another range of vehicle
I read where vanlife bought a set it was about $200. But I think they would last a while
Looks like you had a good day. I'm glad you're using the other fridge. Have a good evening.
Yes I would recommend them as well!
I’ve been watching you since you started on RUclips, I glad that you’re trying to get back to where you were , better mind & healthier body❣️

So happy you , Emmy & Loren were introduced to me as you were or I would have lost so very much not knowing about your channels ! 🫂❤️Be safe-Be happy as you grow on your journey! Great video🤗👍TY for sharing! See you on the next video 🙂 Sorry if its to sappy but I really appreciate you friend 🙂
Awesome video
Good luck.
Put some newspaper in the fridge, the carbon in the paper will help absorb the odor 👍
Great that you are taking care off yourself. Why not get the window coverings that EMMI has.
Watching tv with cousins… I keep telling you to,watch my favourite Korean drama, Crash Landing on You, but you don’t “bite”. 😅
Congrats...❤❤. Love your attitude😊. Stay healthy but dont loose more weight. You look very good now. 😂❤
Is that chrome voice I hear?😊❤ thanks for sharing 😊😊😊
Joesph reach out to sokosi for window coverings plus they have a similar van to you
Or do sharing the wild vanlife, vs just STW
Little bit of Gabor and Teal?…
I’ve seen a camp mat like that at Canadian tire. Wouldn’t say it was cheap tho. I think like 25-30$. If u do market place, I’ve found some on there as well. Good luck.
Put a box of baking soda inside your fridge 🙏🇺🇸
That would be awesome for sure! The fry does show on the outside so yeah black would be better indeed
Work out 5 days a week
Couldn’t you use the same type of foam for the windshield as well? Or a windshield reflector that’s designed for your van?
Any thoughts on full body workout - caveat being 8 weeks out of rotator cuff surgery so nothing related to the shoulder (and my “good shoulder” is shot as well.
Any thoughts on adding yoga concepts towards recovery, restrengthening, and general weight loss (core strength and aerobic)?
Looked for “the paint guy” but nothing came up. A link would be so nice❣️

9:32 What’s the deal with the flashlight on your cousin’s head? Is that a thing? 😆
God's love is the best love, even you will hate yourself one day, he wont.
You look good!! Nice Pecs!!
Profanity ladened rap? Come on man, Oh please.
