You do you, Joseph. Don’t feel pressured to do “vanlife” stuff just because you think that’s what people want to see. Many of us enjoy seeing your grow and evolve and helping the world and the environment. We stay for your personality, your honesty, etc.
Some people are meant to be in business for themselves, Joseph. You are a perfectionist (in a good way) and working with someone who doesn’t place the bar quite so high (and no one does) could create lots of anxiety for you. 🐠 I could see you becoming an adventure guide and taking city folks foraging and then snorkeling, etc. People just want to take a break out in nature and grill a burger on a campfire- maybe sleep in a tent a night or two. You’d be great at that!
Joseph, I’m a relatively new subscriber,… and sometimes I look back at your older videos. It can’t be overstated how much you’ve changed over the last year (or year and a half). It’s really noticeable that you’ve settled deeper into your heart lately ❤❤❤. It's great that you are thinking about a bigger van - although the one you have seems to be sufficient for you. Consider all the ups and downs - Mileage for instance. Gas is not getting cheaper! Watching you go through the decision making process is good. Some things turn out the way we want and some don't, so the best advice is to examine why we made those choices and use that for future decisions, i.e., problems. They always come up, and I think that a vanlifer's biggest asset is their ability to move. All the time. It takes a good deal of flexibility and adaptability for this lifestyle, and the minimalism is humbling, but your ability to adapt and incorporate change, daily, is the key to survival. If you feel alone, you're probably right! You're doing this!

You are a true craftsman, your van building knowledge and thought process would be an asset to the community in many forms, living out of a minivan comfortably is no easy feat and yours is about the best setup I have seen and I have seen a ton.. I struggle with understanding what I want to put out into the world content wise and if I am being constructive or just following a formula to perpetuate a different kind of consumerism, your inner dialogue on the subject was spot on... edit: On that note😅victron recently released a fancy new 50 amp charger so the old 30 amp orion's are popping up all over for a good price, planning to run dual orion as well, nice fail safe for the back country in the event a charger goes down! 2 is one and 1 is none and all that..

As a fellow vanlife guy for 7 yrs now. Your van and lifestyle is way closer to the truth of vanlife.. It's definitely not Hollywood and fun every moment by a long stretch. But. It cam be pretty damn good. P.s I have way more nights of black out and Netflix than I do being a social butterfly.

I love all the scuba stuff, foraging, heart to hearts, times with friends and surviving off the land including hunting and fishing. Because you may someday want to form a sustainable relationship, I can understand that vanlife is not everyone's cup of tea and may make finding someone that's suitable more difficult to find. Products pitched to you should only be accepted only after your review and testing provided you deem them useful to your audience.

Because you may someday want to form a sustainable relationship, I can understand that vanlife is not everyone's cup of tea and may make finding someone that's suitable more difficult to find.
