    I don't go off roading or drive SUV's. But making the wrangler look more like tankish station wagon makes this very appealing to me.

      That's what's so great about the Wrangler, it's basically the most customizable vehicle on the planet!

    Sucks there isn't more stuff like this for Wranglers or Gladiators. I got a 2 door and am making a street and drag strip setup out of it and am looking to buy this kit eventually. It would be nice if a company made traction bars as well. Almost into the 12 second range 1/4 mile right now with my JL Sport. Also would be nice to find a sticky street and track radial that is about 31" tall, biggest I could find that will fit on the factory 17" alloy is 27.8" tall, and I think that would look kind of weird even with the truck lowered 2.5", even though the tires are 305 wide. I know Toyo makes a Proxes STIII that is considered a sport truck tire but was looking more a long the lines of something stickier like an NT05R.

      Very cool build! Did you see the drift Jeep that Currie built? It would be really neat to see a breakdown of what all they did on that suspension, what tires and wheels they're running, etc.

      @@MountZionOffroad yes I have seen that build. I'd like to know as well, might give some insight to roughly what size of wheel setup they used.

    LOVE IT!!! So how much did this affect/improve the ride and handling? I"m looking at buying a JK soon and plan on doing this very thing as it will rarely if ever be off pavement/gravel roads. Thanks!

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  Год назад +2

      Improved handling characteristics come from the fact that it lowers the center of gravity. Ride is not dramatically affected, if anything just a little stiffer.

    I have 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. Will this LowJacker kit work as 4XE got the extra battery weight?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  2 года назад

      We have not yet had the opportunity to do any suspension work on the 4XE model. Looking at Skyjacker's vehicle chooser on their site they don't offer any suspension products for them either, so I suspect that means they haven't fully developed any suspension components specifically for them yet. It wouldn't hurt to reach out to them, they've likely done some testing and may at least be able to speak to any major challenges with using their JL Lowjacker kit on the 4XE.

    Will it rub 33 x 10 tire?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  2 года назад

      Factory are a 32x10 so a 33x10 might rub, but probably not significantly. Remember the JL comes with 33" tires on the Rubicon, and that surely has more than 2" of up travel so at most, minimal trimming or possibly longer bump stop is all that should be needed to make sure they don't rub in any situation

    Did this improve gas mileage? Is it a big change in performance when off-roading? Obviously can no longer ford 30 inches of water, but…?

    • @MountZionOffroad
      @MountZionOffroad  6 месяцев назад

      Fuel economy was not the reason it was lowered, and the change with factory tires should be negligible. This Jeep does not go off road, and we would never recommend lowering one you'd take off road.

    My intent is to switch between lowering as far as I can while retaining the factory arm mounts with factory sized 27" tires and when I need to run trails and winter season, raise it back to factory height with 29" or 30" tires.
