Piercing Cold AARD for damage only, otherwise you make the specter invulnerable until you portal out and back in. Use Reliever's Decoction to boost damage and defense. Dodge dodge AARD repeat.
i've tried that, they still will not die

You can glitch on TOP of the tower without ever activating any levers by walking just south of the tower you'll hear Geralt say something like "miles and miles and miles" talking about the edge of the map you get a warning it pulls up the map and it teleports you slightly backwards. Except slightly backwards you end up ON TOP OF THE TOWER. I also just checked there is a way to get down from the roof and that's to drop on top of one of the beams on the side of the tower then you can continue downwards through the tower. Sadly I do not see any enemies showing up so if you drop further down you might be stuck. So be sure to save before trying this.
It works, no doubt. Just make sure you have manual sword sheathing on and keep your blades undrawn. I'm at level 53 on the first playthrough, getting around 350 per trip currently and not really having any difficulty each time. It's also worth taking a nap at Corvo Bianco beforehand, and one of the Roach trophies grants 5% XP on monsters.
How long before you get to lvl 100? This is before NG+ right?
@@cmxi Hell man, I don't remember exactly. 10-12 hours maybe? I was also wrong in this post about sheathing the sword, you get more xp if you have the silver griffin blade drawn. Occasionally one of the wraiths just won't die, in which case you just cut and run, but if all goes well you should get about 400 points and it takes probably like 3-4 minutes to complete a run. And yes, you can absolutely get to level 100 before NG+.

Found this by accident today but not in the intended way. I got glitched inside the tower while searching for the Ursine set (Chest is next to the grindstone).
At the back of the tower you get a message that you are out of the bounds of the map. Your Map opens and if you close it, you get teleported inside the tower. It's 100% reproduceable so I don't even know if it's a bug. However, once you get to the bottom of the tower there is nothing there and the portals can't be activated, so you are in a trap.

Works on Xbox January, 2024. Wraiths are easy to kill at level 55; getting 440 XP per run. Originally found this spot months ago, but at the time, didn't have the expanded skill tree from the Turn and Face the Strange Quest in B & W so assumed they were unkillable and just reloaded a save to get out of there. Once they're all dead, just need to activate the portal in the second room to get out and go around again.
The green portal doesn’t spawn for me after they are all dead. When I use the thing on the wall to leave and come back, no wraiths spawn. Any ideas?

i cant kill the wraiths, i tried reentering the portal but when i got down to the wraiths i still couldnt finish them but also the exit portal didnt appear
16 Jan. does not work on X box S. No portal in wraith chamber and wraiths do not spawn, tried in NG+ and old saved game.

The wraiths do NOT respawn, does anyone know why? Patched? I am on PC, Jan 2024. I read this could be caused by activating the leavers at different points in your playthrough instead of all at once at the same time, is there any validity to this?
I’m curious about this too. They don’t respawn for me as well as I don’t get the green portal to leave in the middle of the room.

I have just hit level 83 and now I am only getting like 250xp per run. Before I was getting 470. Does anyone know why it’s lower.

On PS5 lvl 48 going through blood and wine, pulling levers doesn’t trigger any dialogue by Gerald and this no earth elemental. Can’t find anything online to explain this, anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it?
It's a known bug apparently? From what I've read it might be from transferring a ps4 save to ps5 and between upgrading to next generation patch introduces the bug?.

@@DaGreat500 yeah so I had to grind killing stuff for like 2 xp every kill so tedious
You forgot to mention that these wraiths are level 105. When I started this method at level 57 I gained 400xp each run killing every wraith. Im level 87 now which took around 3 hours of grinding it back and fourth and I only get 208 xp each run. So basically it’s possible to get to level 100 with this method on ng but will make your fingers ache

@frankyboy thanks for this… I have a build very close to what you recommend… the wraiths won’t die.. and It worked before only I had finished the game… so maybe finishing is required to use this? But your build rocks so it was very fun to use.
How can you get the maximum toxicity to 220?
That's for Xbox and ps if you are on pc don't bother just after you finish the game and want to start a new game+ if you want to be on certain lv just add exp from console commands
If i get to level 100 on easiest difficulty, craft myself highest gear level, then restart the game with new game + on death march difficulty , will i have good stat armor ?
@@badsunshine2788 then again, the armor stats wont really matter when at higher levels because youre mostly looking for the boosts that come with the armor

Make sure steel sword is equipped when using aard during the fight. The game automatically switches you to silver sword. So go to the menu and choose manual sword sheath.
I’m only getting 48xp did they nerf it

Im currently at lvl19 when i stumbled upon this video.. got inside the portal and face the wraiths but cannot seems to kill them even when health bar empty.. anyone knows why??

This method might have been patched, I pulled all 3 levers northing happened eventually I used the glitch method to get inside the castle but there were not wraiths inside just got stuck in there

I've tried this on PS5 and it does not work, maybe I'm unlucky but I tries do kill first 3 ghosts 10 minutes without any result

I wasnt able to kill them at first but then i fully upgraded my griffin gear to grand master and put sign intensity runestones in the swords and aard glyphs in the armor now they go down pretty easily
How do u get out?
For those who can't kill wraiths. Disable alt Yrden and all bleeding/poison effects. Attack ONLY with piercing wind. You can buff yourself with regular Yredn trap [Griffin set], but make it so no enemy gets damaged in any other way, even your shield popping.
completing the B&W DLC is required, maybe, I did make it to level 51 too. Something to consider if you are not able to use this technique to kill these wraith. By the way, this is an excellent build video, fun to do.
Until lvl 85 you get 500 xp more or less for each run, (equipped complete grandmaster griffin set, the experience bonus from corvo bianco, and a trophy for 5% xp from monsters.
Passed lvl 85 you'll get about 230 xp for each run wich anyway is quite a lot.
Starting ng+ at lvl 100 is nuts
What is the bonus from corvo bianco means? Sorry I'm returning to the game after quite some time I just don't remember what it is.
@@rsvgaming8493 when you sleep in corvo bianco you get an additional xp per kill(and other bonuses)if i remember correctly it lasts one hour or so

Just use Griffin set and spam aard. Use decoctions that regenerate HP/stamina.

Maybe you can help me. I don't have any of the new levers at the Destroyed Bastion. I'm playing the PS4 GOTY disc version on PS5. It is upgraded and updated (I have played the new mission to get the Netflix armour). Have you any idea what might be wrong, or how I can fix it?

are you in Toussaint already? You can get the mutagenerator from Regis and also can transform blue and green ones into red. My guess is you need them for mutations, otherwise there is no other rational reason for such request.

@@chrissgro5334 So you just want them for free mutagen slots, is that it? The greater ones? From my perspective the red ones are collectible mostly from alghouls in free roam and randomly from monsters in contracts. There is a village in velen, Toderas if i’m right, there’s always an alghoul there. Also they drop from beast nests sometimes.
Still never experienced that huge lack of mutagens comparing to the level progression.
Wraiths drop mutagens, I farmed this spot and ended up with hundreds I could then transform into lesser green ones, which then could be turned into greater, and you can transform greater green to greater red.
Whale graveyard is pretty good

You need to only use piercing cold aard. Nothing else, not even other signs like upgraded Yrden damage

Because i'm on LV 38 and i kill them until their live Gage turn until 0 and still don't those Ghosts don't die , by the way i'm in the PS5 versión of the next gen upgrade of the Witcher 3
@scoty3434 yes, you get it with the mutagen skills unlocked in B&W. Tbh, there's not much of a need to level grind prior to completing the DLC anyways. Just play the quests and you'll get there. Mainly I needed to grind a few levels to be able to start NG+ at level 61 so I could get lvl 100 witcher gear.
Yrden will cancel out the Piercing Cold damage. So, Piercing Cold and nothing else.
i got a very simple question: what is actually the point in witcher 3 to lvl above 30??? i mean, u got 4 times 3 skill slots, most of them uses 3 skill points but some only 1. u find some meditations stones due to your journey so u got like extra skill points. so what is the benefit of earning more skill points after you used your 12 spots????

@@Keevanus well, You need a bit of skill points and mutagens to be able to unlock all the mutations from Blood and Wine DLC
Also, I don't think levelling up is only about skillpoints, some people want their grandmaster Witcher gear to be lvl 100 while others want the game to be linear, so they start new game+ at the max level

Yeah, they do i ported my ps4 save to ps5 finished base game and dlcs and started NG+ and now when switching the levers Geralt actually has dialogue

@@halcyon1017 no, ive seen ppl who started the game fresh on next gen, and then the ones who were having issues are the ones who had a old gen save converted to next gen (thats what happened to me) so i just started a NG+
Can this be done only once? I tried to do it but geralt doesnt say anything and the elemental doesnt spawn..

Also find when clearing out bandit areas to bring in locals and finding shopkeepers helpful as u can sell all the crappy weapons and loot from crates . If ya too heavy Chuck everything in ya stash when ya low on funds ……

finally a way to use legendary grandmaster armour in new game plus without massive grind or consol and start new game plus with lvl 100
always hated the fact that when you start new game plus by the time you reached the level to use legendary grandmaster gear you were most likely already finished with everything
So if I reach level 100 and then craft myself legendary grandmaster gear and then start a new game+ , will my gear be scaled on higher difficulties?
@@michealibra6350 you cant start new game plus with legendary grandmaster since you can only get that in new game plus and without mods you cant start a new game plus from a new game plus safe

Yup, damn it. Geralt says nothing for me. I forgot this never worked for me on a PS4 cross save to PS5. Damn it. Oh well. At least I killed a few monsters for xp.

I just started the game. Am barely level 6 . Could I do this at level 6? Am playing it on hard difficulty. Maybe if I lower the difficulty for the sole purpose of doing this? Any feedback is appreciated before I loose precious time trying this.
Should just play the game normally. Don't bother with this stuff if you did started the game, it's a great way to ruin it for you with how long it'd take to reach 100. Plus you don't ever need to farm xp in this game anyway.

With the new Netflix armor and the chest rune that spawns Yrden where the yrden turret hits its the most powerful build.

Works until you reach level 50 in your normal game, then you get 1xp per kill. Wraiths are lvl 99 even on your first playthrough, so they always give max xp.
I'm lvl 54. Cold pierce equipped. 298% sign strength. Full Aard, Yrden, Grandmaster Griffin Armor. I'm lucky if one dies. Don't know what I'm doing wrong
Do you have the perk that makes it viable? You need the aard = freeze talent mutation
@@frankyboy13 yeah, Piercing Cold Mutagen, Maxed Aard, Maxed Yrden., Grandmaster Griffin Armor. I rarely use potions or decoctions as most stuff melts with this build. But I've tried every boost imaginable and it's still random wether one will die or not. Spent a full 15mins in the tower trying everything to no avail. Just 1 dead in the first room. The rest refuse to drop.
Don't use yrden
Just use the fall damage mod
Why are the best mods always manual download?? Manual download is impossible for people who are PC illiterate.
