- Teen Titans is one of my favorite cartoons and growing up, who didn't want to be a member of the team? Here comes Teen Titans the video game to fill those shoes where you take control of every member of the Teen Titans as you fight some familiar foes from the show. Let's take a look at the Teen Titans video game and see if it holds up to my own nostalgia for it, or if it was better left a memory.

Thanks so much for watching! Did you ever get to play the Teen Titans video game? If so, what console did you play it on and who was your favorite Teen Titan to play as?
I played it many times on GameCube. Beastboy was cool because of the different unlockable animal combos. The fighting mode was cool too.
played this with my nephew (we are a year apart) on the GameCube and i loved playing robin. It was always a blast.
This is my first time watching her second Channel of Gaming and also I love gaming too it is really fun
bought it recently hoping that it wouldn't go up in price before I could get my hands on it. Haven't played it yet, but I've known about it since it came out!
i had this game and i played it with my brother all day on the weekends, i always played as cyborg. it was fun for me
Gotta say. The game was way ahead of it's time for it's meta-textual plot.
Crazy that the whole thing is like an episode of Teen Titans Go. Ahead of its time indeed
@@uglyguyy Atleast the game did the joke better than the TTG.
No. It was straight garbage
@@Mybasedworld what….? Guess you hated the show too
@@Mybasedworld to YOU and only YOU. Get the wording right please😅 your weird opinion isn’t fact. Also please leave
I really need a modern Teen Titans game based on the original cartoon. I remember when I played Arkham Asylum for the first time and I was blown away by the attention to detail for the franchise and the polish. I really want a TT game that gives me those feelings and that nostalgia.
What developer would you want? I def think Rocksteady could kill it. My initial thought was Platinum Games but after Persona Strikers, Hyrule Warriors and Three Hopes - I feel like Omega Force could nail it, too.
Yes please!
Imagine one that was open world and you can free roam around Jump City and do side quests that involve you fighting the wacky one-off villains and such.
It would be cool to see a dcu for games
A game based on the comics would be better.
The Teen Titans game that *I* remember is that old cartoon network flash fighting game that is evidently engraved into the back of every child's brain the moment they played it for the first time.
Oh my god I was obsessed with that game
That one game where you fight Hive Five (and co)
Same
Played the hell outta that one
When I was 10 or something, I wanted to show my parents that I beat it on hard mode, only for my brother to refresh the page or something while I was away.
I unironically loved this game! I replayed it on the GameCube more times than I can count.
I wish I still had it, was one of my favorite games.
Same I replayed it on PS2 a lot as a kid and beat it multiple times and once with my cousin since the story allowed multiplayer
Can you play this game on an emulator? There is an option for local multiplayer 1v1
Can you believe it’s 2022 and the only active media that ties Cyborg to the Titans is Teen Titans Go?
That makes me sad.
Isn’t that because Victor Stone is a member of the Justice League now?
@@terraventusaqua123 most of the writers don't know what to do with him he's just there. Young justice basically pulled a justice league live action with the character making him a mother box host that gave him powers
Young Justice?
@@NicCrimson I…. Don’t know if he’s in that too 😅
They seriously didn't make the villain Control Freak? That whole thing is his exact wheelhouse.
Although I kind of like the idea of the player themselves being the evil mastermind behind everything. Like we are the TRUE master of games.
Placing the teen titans in a video game like medium was in fact even a plot point in a later episode. The one where Control Freak fights the Titans East.
I remember that game. I played it once, and I always loved how they make a combined attack to finish off bosses.
I think a missed opportunity to this game was making Control Freak the main villain who trapped the titans in the game. Then when he’s defeated the titans would be set free and Control Freak could be zapped and trapped in a really girly game as punishment
I think the reason why is because its too obvious. It blew me away that the player is the villain
Honestly I would’ve liked it better if it turned out that the titans were inside the game because of a plan by Control Freak using some video game controller or something. But I guess the ending is funny enough and meta as is.
As a hardcore TT fan I remember my 11 year old self preordered this game for the GameCube before it released back in 2006! It was easily the most fun action game that was playable for 1-4 players (made sleepovers extra awesome with friends!) Every character in the game had great unique moves and were all fun to play as, but I remember kicking serious butt as Robin most of the time! I replayed it last year as an adult and it still held up pretty well in my book.
Played this with my brother nonstop when we were teenagers. He was always Robin and I was Cyborg. Great times all around.
I still own this game and I absolutely loved playing it as a kid!
Dude I remember staying up all night to early morning playing this game with a friend one weekend, we finally beat the game only to have Robin yell at us and tell us we're evil for controlling them and HELPING THEM beat those levels! I've never felt more betrayed in my life.
I remember owning this game on the PS2, losing it at some point and buying it again for the GameCube. Good times!
Traping the Titans in a video game sounds so like the kind of thing Control Freak would do. I'm a little disappointed that that wasn't the endings twist.
This one! Switching between the titans, unlocking the secret stuff, just how goofy it is. Super good stuff.... adult me thinks it's kina "ugly" now, but legit, not too bad for something for that time lol.
It's now 2022 almost 2023.
I was born in 2006 when this game first flew off the shelves my mom had gotten me a gamecube and a couple of games for it. I was very excited especially abt this teen titans game bc I was a very big fan of the franchise and the main show that was still up when I was little.
Sure the physics and eventual 4th wall breaks are a lil weird but trust me if you are a tt fan and are revisiting this game it will bring noglestic memories.
Before I even watch the video I love this game, you literally sent me straight back to my childhood where me and my siblings would team up and play four player as our favorite titans. Honestly so much fun and so nostalgic, brings a tear to my eye man. Love your content Jordan!
same here. i used to play this with my brothers and cousins.
I remember playing that game! I was a year old when it came out, and played it when I was 6 or 7 on my Ps2 and finished it within a day or two, since I was addicted to it
I loved this game, one of my favourite coop games. I just wish the story had a freeplay mode, where you can swap out the titans with the characters and play the story as them
Gosh I loved this game so many years ago... I might have to crack out the old game cube after watching this and dust off the controller. Great vid, glad I'm not the only person who has a nostalgia for this silly game.
I actually love your style of cutting away from the video with the old school "we'll be right back" from that certain show or game before midroll ads come up. I've never seen another RUclipsr do it before, I appreciate it
This was my first ever PS2 game to play. My family and I loved playing it, and this was also the go to game we’d launch whenever we had friends over. I was very sad when we got rid of the console and sold the games away, but I still have good memories of playing that game.
same! my first game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one of the few licensed games i ever wanted as a kid, but even as a kid i knew most of those games were no good so never bought it, could have gotten one from the bargain bin when i got the chance...
Dude I played this all the time as a kid, it's so cool to see someone make a whole video on it
Back when my brother and I were kids every time we would battle each other in versus mode and he would beat me every time with control freak
When I was 6ish I was visiting my uncle and saw this game hidden in a corner under some garbage. It felt like I had just found a hidden treasure. So I picked it up, told the other kids about it, and we got together to put it into their ps2. Then it kept crashing on the home screen haha.
If you still have it and a PS2, put toothpaste on it, then wipe it off gently until the disk is semi clear. It usually works on scratched disks to trick the disk reader to read the rest of the data.
@@Wol1427 would any specific toothpaste work best?
@@a-s-greig nah, just put it on the disk, wipe it around the disk, then wipe it off enough to make the disk look like it's a new disk.
This was one of my favorite games back in 4th-5th grade. Glad to see you covering it
I’ll be honest, the very premise of the Titans getting sucked into a game about them surprises me when there’s no secret final boss fight against Control Freak who was the real one behind it all!

I love your unexpected Yu-Gi-Oh references so much. I really never see them coming.
Great video Jordan I always wanted to have this game as a kid but I only had a gameboy advance.
I always thought it was SUCH a missed opportunity to not be able to build a team out of that huge roster for the others modes.
I loved this game as a kid so much that I bought it again a few years ago and it's still as good and as charming as it was way back when. Definitely a gem.
Oh really? Maybe I'll get it one day
I have a feeling this video is gonna get much more attention than your others
I remember my aunt buying me this game for my birthday one year and I definitely played the shit out of it, the contest of champions was definitely a highlight and the only negative has to be the story ending but it's definitely a good enough Titan reference that was a memory unlocked thanks to you, great video as always!
Just discovered you have a game bases channel here. I love your main channel content and seeing you have more here is fabulous.
See now I think your making me emotional on purpose first with ash's story and now you I see you talking about THIS GEM?!?!?! I absolutely love this shit man
Darn it Jordan. I haven't finished ben 10 rewatch yet lol now I gotta watch teen titans 😅
I played the absolute hell out of this game as a kid. To this day I still replay to “What’s Up” with “Nothin but the ceiling baby” and it’s because of Beast Boy in this game 💀
Pretty sure I still have this game for my still existing GameCube! I love this game so MUCH so I'm super stoked to see you do a video on it LOL
I remember renting this from Gamefly as a kid, it was really fun. I also really liked the Xiaolin Showdown game too.
I love TT and this game... ever since it, I had always hoped for TT to get a modern video game. I am sooo happy Multiversus will have TT content in the game (its been datamined Raven is in the code as a character) and Titan Tower will be a map. Definitely get on Multiversus if you want TT content : ) Season 2 starts this month and I think Raven might come :) My favorite character is Red X... hoping he will be playable.
This literally unlocked a suppressed childhood memory
OMG YESSS!! I've been wanting to make a video on this wacky game for a while so thanks for doing it for me lol banger video so far!
Loved this one growing up. Unlocking all the characters in the battle arena like Slade costume Robin and Mad Mod. Some fun times
So, I remember playing the GBA version of this, and having a great time! I loved watching Teen Titans as a kid, and so getting to play as them was pretty amazing. I think it'd be interesting to give the console version a try, especially since it has four player co-op.
I will say, though, missed opportunity in not making the final boss of the game, and the one responsible for the whole mess, Control Freak. I always found him to be an interesting villain for the team to fight, with his ability to control screens and while seeming comedic always being in control of the situation before the team could get the upper hand on him.
I still remember loving the writing of this game, felt like a top notch episode from the action down to the comedy~!
It speaks volumes about this series fame. That just having it titled teen titans was enough.
And is enough.
*I want three copies*
I played this game and I remembered enjoying it back when I played it on my PS2. There’s no way Teen Titans Go will ever make a game like this.
i had this and remember the computer game on cartoon network. good times…
I love how animated they are. It looks just like the show! I would have loved this as a kid, the graphics and animations alone would have carried it for me
This game honestly was my childhood. And even as an adult, still love playing it.
I still have this game on PS2, it’s genuinely one of the best PS2 games I’ve ever played, probably right next to Star Wars Battlefront 2.
2.
I remember loving this game when I bought it and just binged it and beat it in one day
I still have this game and play it every now and then! Love it so much
I remember my brother and I had this game back when we had a GameCube, and we loved it!
Bro u just awoken a hidden memory I remember playing this game at a friends house when I was like 5 but could never remember they name of it since I was so young
"The heart breaker and side switcher, Terra"
It still hurts )':
I used to play this at my best friends house on GameCube during sleepovers, so much good memories with this game
Man this hit a lost memory. I loved this game so much as a kid. I would love to be able to play this again just for nostalgia sake
I remember me and my friend finishing the game and being surprised at the 4th wall break.
Bro this game was my childhood I'm glad someone's family covering it
Love the channel, your main channel, love your work. I'm a big fan. But the 2002 honda civic joke broke my heart.
I never knew this game was a thing i only knew about the GBA game (and that was because of a friend back in 2019).
Also when i heard Majesco i got EWJ 1 and 2 GBA flashbacks...*shivers*
It's interesting that this was released for all 3 consoles (i assume the XBOX version is the best one like almost always is in this multiplatform instances).
You got me interested in at least giving the game a spin, and gotta say the 1v1 mode is good fanservice in characters terms but it's sad that this game was held back by being a budget license game unlike other ones.
Great vid Jordan 😉
I absolutely loved this game to death.
It's good to hear that there was a playable version of this game! I played the GBA version as a kid and I don't recall it being very good.
The way you say later chef kiss
This game was my child hood. I remember that I didn’t know how to change characters so I would be stuck as robin but then when my dad came in the room and my small child brain thought he would move out of the way if I used the d-pad. I found out that I switched characters and then I finally figured out how to change characters
That game was perfect. I hope we can get a remastered someday
it would be awesome!!!!!!!!!
I need to play it!!!! Thank you for letting me know it exists!
I remember playing this on GameCube when growing I loved this game
Love the content my dude
thanks man, I played this with my kid and he loved it
This was one of my favorite childhood games.
Played it with my cousin so much
I loved this game when I was a kid 🔥🔥🔥 I had beat this game so many times over and never got bored playin it
Oh man. Takes me back. Stayed at my friend Nathan's in middle school and we beat it in one sitting lol
I rented it and enjoyed it. It was definetly one of those games that you rent for the weekend and beat it during that time.
At the time i played it on game cube. I was small. I loved it. It was enough for me as a kid
Well this brings back a lot of memories
I love the Original Teen Titans.
I had a PS2 the game was great but I couldn't beat certain levels.
I played the game on the GameCube back in the day, and loved playing the Tournament of Heroes.
It was pretty fun as a kid I haven’t played it in forever but I’m glad I still have my copy of it
One of my childhood game on my childhood console. I remember playing the story back all over again. Like probably more then 10 times ngl.
This is one the first games and went to find when I got a GC emulator, and I find myself still enjoying from time to time. Especially the tournament of heroes mode
You and I both know this channel will take a bit to get off the water, but I hope you keep at it. I enjoy retrospective style videos a lot, but I vibe with games better than TV shows. So... Thanks, Jordan.
Ah yeah! I was just talking about this game with my brother not long ago and how we miss it. I think we gave it away to our younger cousin but he lost it at some point.
A lot of fond, fun gaming memories with my brother and cousins playing this game. Used to do the smash-bros-esk fighting mode all the time. Had mains and everything.
Literally a few days ago i played this game with one of my friends and while it did get repetitive after a while it felt good to play and was fun
I borrowed it from a friend and had fun with it I enjoyed the mechanics and the graphics where pretty good
I remember wanting to get this game ever since I found out about it, but I could only get a bootleg copy of the game at the time, and yeah, it was quite buggy with the other characters not being responsive and just walking/running around aimlessly after an area was cleared. Suffice to say, I never finished the game, but based on this vid, I can say the graphics and character designs looked good for a licensed game.
I only played the Nintendo GBA SP version of this and the sequel to it.
Never finished the sequel but I wasn't quite the same gamer I am now.
It was pretty awesome from what I remember.
I still have this game on my game cube in my closet, greatest game I had on the cube fr!
Me: *sees the title*
I am shocked and bamboozled. I play this game all the time on my ps2. The twist in the story was actually pretty cool and ahead of its time lol. I like doing the battle mode too because you can pretty much play all and i mean ALL of the characters. I always loved playing as Red X and Slade Robin. You can even play as Wildebeest in here lol
This is one of the games back in the day that was so fun with family and friends
I loved playing this teen titans go game when I was younger
I used to play this as a kid with my cousins on the GameCube it was so fun man miss being a kid lol
I do remember playing this game a lot when i was younger
I remember finding this game used at a GameStop as a kid and was so excited to play. My siblings and I could only pick one game each so I chose this one. We got home and the game was broken and only showed an error message. I was so devastated
Maaaan to this day i still set up my ps2 every now and then just to play this or the classic Nicktoon games. Show hyped to just see it getting the appreciation it deserves 🙏🏽
I had this on gamecube as a kid, didn't have a memory card so I replayed and beat it EVERYDAY💀
Literally just saw this in a pawnshop for $30. Good timing!
