From what I've seen of Sam, dude absolutely knows how to sing from a technical standpoint (and has said that he considers his voice an instrument), but the emotional aspect is absolutely the core of what he does.

A great one from you would be to check out "All Our Gods Have Abandonded Us" album from Architects, that's the last album written entirely by their sadly deceased guitarist, Tom Searle, one of the best modern metalcore albums and an incredibly emotional journey and portrayal of his psyche before his death

sam carter is a legend! one of the best voices of the genre. and the first two singles are amazing, I really can't wait to listen to the full album.

you have to react to Gone With The Wind, a Very Emotional song written by Tom before he passed, i recommend you check out the studio version then the live performance at Alexandria Palace, the live is even more emotional, the live one is featured on their Documentary "Holy Ghost" but there are videos of just the live
