I can't explain how the "Screen-Lock" function stopped working months back. I'd be intalling an app or PDF or 3rd party apk's and I'd get a pop for a split.second saying "Screen-Lock has Stopped" but will install any apk or program anyway. Then if I check the "Lock-Screen" in settings I get a message telling me "It doesn't Exist" on this device. Don'tunderstand why this is happening.
I tried this 16 times. It went to the recovery screen each time for one second, but the screen kept going black every time. I kept my fingers on the switch and volume but I’m still locked out.
Make sure device is fully charged and not connect to anything during this process. If yours continue to do this its possible the buttons are faulty. Have someone else try this step just to be sure
@@eastwest42286 I did not have a sim card while doing this but it doesn't matter. The trick is the button combination. Unless the buttons are somehow faulty it won't work otherwise keel trying.
Sorry to hear. The factory reset should not have erased your memory card. It should only erase the internal memory but you need to find a way to restore from your card.

Yes. Unfortunately It will delete everything. You can restore from the cloud if you have a backup

Yeah. It was fully charged and wasn’t plugged in either. Telling me that there was no SIM card but it’s in too.
