awesome! thanks for this - its my fave ZZ song, cant believe i had to hunt for someone covering it on drums (its all LaGrange covers...NOT as good as this song!)
Just be a Texan John Bonham. No kidding, listen to the old Rockpalast gig of 1980s, Frank Beard was grooving like crazy. Chewing gum the whole night. Completely relaxed.
I practiced this song a lot, and it was still a challenge. The best way is to play them at a slower BPM, make sure you have the accents right and it grooves, and then slowly speed up every practice. When you get to a speed where it's too fast, stop and make that BPM your new goal.
Frank beard is in my top 10 drummers ever.
Once eliminator came the magic was gone though.
He flew under my radar for awhile...not anymore. I now realize what a great shuffle and boogie drummer he is.
Drums sounds great!
Thank you!
Well done. Esp. Keeping those hi hats going!
Thank you. Nice job :)
Thanks for your kind words!
Awesome
That's 🔥🔥🔥🔥. My fav ZZ song and you killed it. Already Subbed your channel.
Thank you! One of the best guitar songs ever, and Frank really drives it along.
Nice!
Thanks!

Man, I don't know how you can keep those 16th notes going on the hi hat at 100 BPM. I'm struggling to hit 80. Any tips?

@@bellbrass Thanks for the reply. It's reassuring to know that (as usual) the answer is practice + perseverance = progress.
@@deanmoriarty9508 I agree! I'm not very patient with the slow to fast thing, but it works.
