I really liked your work so much, congratulations! But as for the wallpaper, I think it could have been different, keeping the old ferry trunk style. Still, it was really cool!

Beautiful restoration. My great-grand parents brought their possessions from Ireland in trunks just like that one. The adults were allowed a full size trunk each and each child got a half-sized trunk. They brought a total of nine steamer trunks.

The addition of the paper was spot on. The design emulated the pattern of the original lining of the chest, but on a somewhat larger scale. Quite a statement piece, and one can see that styling being used today.

According to the Oxford Dictionary Restoration: the act of restoring something to a former or original condition. To repair, reconstruct, refurbish, rebuild.
      Therefore mission accomplished.
And beyond that he has helped reduce landfill by restoring a piece most of us would never have imagined attempting to do.

Wonderful craftmanship. Embellishments are everything on those steamer trunks. My only criticism is the wallpaper on the outside and whatever you used for the lining. That should've been fabric. The right choices there would've elevated it to a super luxe piece.

I do like the colors though and I liked when he put it in the refurbished wooden briefcase. The digital aritist in me would've taken a picture of the pattern on the inside in the clearest spot and done a repeat pattern to get printed for it. But that's the nerd in me.

Kolay gelsin....
