If you have the deluxe edition you get a set of armor that increases the will gained pair it with the ( GoldFlora Hairpin Curios ) and the spell called ( Lantern Holder ) and you will get 3381 xp every run still low compared to the NG+ but still worth mentioning, you can also add the ( Golden Carp Curios ) to increase the chance of obtaining materials from defeated enemies in this case Gold and silk i think are the only drops hope it helps 🙌

Also, it seems that this does not work on NG++, the cocoons have too much HP for even the highest damage staff (dark iron + full bull set) to 1hk them. So do all your farming in NG and NG+ before starting the 3rd playthrough
So I finally got there last night to run this farm. I did it about 10 times and collected the will and xp - then it stopped working. I think its patched. Because after a few times blowing them all up only equates to one egg sack.... You can blow em up but they only count as one and then they just respawn. Can someone else confirm this?
If anyone's curious... this *technically* isn't misleading. It just takes a bit longer as the person is clearly in NG+. Every run I did (as of typing this) yields 105xp per cocoon, which equals 2,625xp per run. This'll pretty much equal about 3.5 runs max to level up, but you can maximize the amount of damage the self destruct does by equipping a staff that does at LEAST, not most, LEAST, 75 Attack, and you max out both Rage Burst and Ferocious Form in the tree for the transformation. Also, don't be alarmed when you see "105" pop up only, its a visual thing and you can inspect your current number via the pause menu and pressing the "Details" button. Hope this clears things up.

NG+ with celestial registry tablet. You don’t get anything close to this first round.

The rats explode damage is based of sparks and staff damage. I used the staff with 120 attack and one hit them all at once.
