This is not a cheese. It’s just effective. You still had to dodge and attack with correct timing etc. Cheese would be if you got him stuck on that pagoda and he couldn’t move while you hit him(like genichiro in the door-corner)
Some ppl look at it as cheese due to not fighting him hand to hand like you should . If he gets stuck on that pagoda that will be considered a glitch which this is not.
i’ve never commented on a video before but this is worth it i sat here for 5 hours fighting this boss and watched this video and in 30 min i got him ,, fully charge the heavy attacks i was doing 2 charges instead of 3 and had a hard time good luck
God damn! Somehow out of all the videos I watched this was legitimately a good way to defeat him and I finally did it using this charged heavy method. You were right. There's like a mid range where he'll keep deciding whether or not to do a long range or short range attack i think and it grants you a solid 5 seconds to charge up and quickly let go staggering him lol THANK U MAN. The ending chapter 4 main boss actually has me second guessing if I'll beat this game, but I'm sure I'll get him eventually too somehow.

I tried to cheese him using the Cloud Step Thrust stance technique, but it was too passive and difficult to adjust my positioning. After his HP dropped below half, he started reading and evading most of my moves. His attack sequence also increased. Below 15% HP, his moves became even crazier.
Pro Tip! When he gets to about one third health left, he will know your moves and adjust. My charging 3 focus heavy thrust would be always dodged if I continued to hit him right when it charged. So I either started only doing 2 focus charge heavy if he was close enough, or do a 3 focus charge heavy but "only" let it loose when he got close and started his attack animation. Then it was to late for him to dodge, "turn into smoke thing he does" and it always hits. You got this!
Yeah imma have to use this method , the attack combo he does when he gets low health is too annoying . I get him so low just for him to one shot me at the end almost every time .
Man, this strategy saved me…though I still died multiple times (I suck at dodging), I was able to get him down to 5% majority of the time before he would one shot me 😅. Still managed to beat him tho! Thank you for the guide!

Yo I’m a souls veteran player, and honestly the game has been a cake walk so far (although it’s challenging). And yellow loong was the only boss I had a tough time, I dint necessarily use your technique because I’m more of a close combat guy, but I did kind of use your technique of understanding when this dude would attack, which helped a lot, I dint use your build, we’ll sort of, I’m sort of a thrust kinda a guy, but I did set my stats a lil bit similar to yours and I got him in the first try. Big help, for the people who are still facing issues, don’t copy every single build and stat, fix it accordingly so that it’ll be comfortable for you to control your monkey, one example I could give is, instead of completely dumping my sparks on smash I leveled it accordingly with thrust stance, when yellow loong charges at you, instead of using your build up focus points on heavy smash stance (which will cause your monkey to move and hit, so if yellow loong decides to charge attack followed by the two step combo, you’ll prolly end up missing the attack, if you don’t time the attack right)switch to thrust this will not only not miss the target but also stagger him giving you an opening to punish him, then switch back to smash stance follow it up with light attacks and heavy. It’s also crucial that you maintain a not-so close quarter distance with him that way you’ll be able to see through his attacks. And mainly pace yourself with the immobilization, don’t spam all of your spells, if you can manage to get him down to 50hp without any spells then the rest of the fight should be easy that way you don’t have to focus a lot on your mana getting depleted. Transform whenever possible after you’ve successfully managed to get his hp down to 30-40%, you don’t have to worry bout mana getting used up as it dosnt require mana getting used.

I have tried to many different ways to beat this guy and tried to rely on close combat to much! The 3 focus heavy attacks are so good against him convinced there is no other way to beat him!

This boss is hard even with this method because his move set is so fast. I used “see no evil” which helps with perfect dodges but even with that it’s crazy because the 3 focus attack Hardly takes any damage off of him. EVEN with spellbinder 😂….

This is one the only way it worked. All thy extra stuff them other channels was talking about. I did this in one try after watching this oppose to 30 tries with other people specking in builds.

@@weeblife9755 use your cloud step towards the end and stay out the way and try to dodge them and don't play aggressively with him just do my strat and you should be able to best him you got this.
Ah dang did u try again using this method? If so make sure u add more defense to your wukong that should help out and also buff up. You can pause your game and go to your inventory and buff and heal mid fight.

The more I fight aggressive the more he fight and when he is about to die he gets even more aggressive
@@weeblife9755 use your cloud step towards the end and stay out the way and try to dodge them and don't play aggressively with him just do my strat and you should be able to best him you got this.

Ah dang did u try again using this method? If so make sure u add more defense to your wukong that should help out and also buff up. You can pause your game and go to your inventory and buff and heal mid fight.
