    Reason number 1: mean streets of west linn Oregon. Where people spit out gum and it just stays there for 5 whole minutes.
    Reason 2: sometimes a married couple ONLY makes 120,000 dollars a year
    Reason 3: if you have a sister same age as you, you will have the worst 16 ever. You will get only one Mercedes meaning you will have to split it.
    Reason 4: people only have housekeepers Monday Wednesday and Friday. All the other days YOU will have to clean and wash dishes
    Reason 5: American gangster resides there. Biggest arms, biggest charm and all the harm

    Definitely don't think you can find a decent lunch in West Linn. I was traumatized from trying to find lunch in West Linn. All I could get was a really crappy tiny pizza. I wasted a whole hour there getting the tiny crappy pizza. And I did not feel right after the pizza.
    There was only a young girl at the pizza place, and I guess this was inconvenient for her. It looked like the owner of the restaurant was working on a lap top and she seemed not try at all to cater to serving lunch. I don't know what was up with the sauce, it was a white sauce and it was the worst I ever had.

    I agree on the high income tax front, but high property taxes? What are we comparing it to? My property taxes on my mid $700,000s West Linn house are right around $7,000 annually, and Lake Oswego from what I've seen is even lower (value-wise, not necessarily sizewise). Is that high? The same value home in Dunthorpe would be at least $10k, and I know folks on the east coast who pay $15k annually for $600k homes. Are we just comparing it to Oregon counties outside of the metro?

    Hello Jeff, I understand that if you rent a room in West Linn you'll still have to pay income taxes. Would this still be around 9% for a renter that works in another city (Portland, Tualatin, Oregon City, etc.) in Oregon but lives in west linn?

    • @WestLinnRealtorSteveCrawford
      @WestLinnRealtorSteveCrawford  2 года назад +2

      Actually, No. Income tax is a state wide tax. You pay that if you live anywhere in Oregon. No specific tax for living n West Linn. Thanks for asking.

      @@WestLinnRealtorSteveCrawford Hello Steve, thank you for clarifying my questions. So the '9% tax' is Oregon's average state wide income tax as of 2021? Thanks.

    • @ChochiLuko
      @ChochiLuko 2 года назад

      @@WestLinnRealtorSteveCrawford it looks like in California the tax % depends on what income bracket a person falls under rather than the area they live in.
      i.e., low income people pay less income tax than midian / upper class people do.
      I see why you said that income tax is relatively high in Oregon.
      If this is so, I wonder if low income people have a hard time in Oregon or there's affordable enough housing and means of living for low income people to live a decent life without overworking.
      I mean, there's the no purchase tax bonus which might help.

    Yes you must stay away from west linn and LO. I hear they are the safest cities in oregon with the highest increase in home prices per year. It would sure suck to buy a home there and gain money. I rather live in Portland where there were over 1000 shootings s in 2021 . Woke and diversity is more important than safety these days .

      @@erik5024 I moved from west linn high school to Oregon city it’s way better here in my opinion. If you’re poor and brown in west linn people aren’t nice to u. That was my experience growing up there. Oregon city HS is much more diverse racially which is a major factor for me.

    • @erik5024
      @erik5024 Год назад

      @@ashleymclean918 I lived in OC for 15 years, and all 3 of my kids went to grade school there, and they still have a lot of friends there. My daughter was bullied mercilessly for her time in middle school in OC (2015-2018), including death threats, being physically attacked in the halls, theft of things from her backpack, etc.... and the administration did absolutely nothing. NOTHING. The bullies faced no consequences for making my daughter's middle school time miserable. She was a straight A student, athlete and involved in music also. There was zero chance we would let her go to the high school with the same terrible kids and negligent administration. She ended up going to high school in LO because that was allowed back then, and it was a lifesaver.
      WLHS has its own issues for sure. And there is plenty I find distasteful about some nouveau riche entitled brats/parents that I see, but the academics and activities are so much better for us. No school is perfect, and they all have issues of one kind or another. I'm glad you find OCHS a better fit for you, and I know plenty of kids who love being at OCHS. Unfortunately, my daughter's physical safety was at risk there, so we really had no choice. I wish Oregon supported school choice for this reason.
