THEY NEED TO CHANGE THE RULES, OTHERWISE PEOPLE WILL TRY TO FIND ILLICIT WAYS TO EARN MONEY, BETTER ALLOW THEM TO EARN EXTRA MONEY THROUGH INVESTMENT AND OTHER MEANS IT'LL BE FAIR AND LEGAL MONEY AT THE SAME TIME THEY WILL BE PAYING TAX AS WELL.

I think you missed a major point
IAS/IPS earn extra Income through QUID PRO QUO for example
1. A DM issues a licence for cinema in the city, and now he doesn't have to pay for movie tickets for the rest of his tenure at that city.
2. He gave permission for hotel construction, then he does not have to worry about his meals, accommodation or drinks.
3. He is giving permission to open something in city A in state A but he is getting some benefit in city B of state B in the name of his close relatives.
4. He is issuing a tendor to a computer vendor for office needs, but getting free personal services for the rest of his tenure.
Many more.
So guys the biggest benefit of cracking civil services is enjoying the "Quid Pro Quo".

Also apne aas paas acche friends rakho. Don’t focus on negative minded people, may be be good to them, but don’t let them spoil your day.
And baki what to study from where & how to practice, all that is shared quite well by sir, and many more channels.
Also fix your source of study & keep its limited.
I had a friend who was preparing during college days, he got selected and this is all he used to follow.

Gaurav sir I am GATE Aspirant in my final year of engineering......Mere concepts up to mark hai, formulas saare yaad hai, GATE calc use krna aata hai, silly mistakes vi kam hai........lekin phir vi marks kam rehte hai FLT me.....as ki 2 hrs ke baad mere ko chair pr baithne ka mann ni hota hai....aur phir me jabardasti question solve krta hu bina question ko samjhe hueeeee....toh silly mistakes hota hai aur iss time me mind me kch aur hi scene chalta hai...jaise Songs,koi past incidents,family moments etc......and phir sab gur gobar ho jata hai
