- Fun project! This 2003 Honda CR250R dirt bike was ragged out and had a cracked cylinder. The rebuild process took a little over two months. This was more of a budget build so I focused on the motor and clutch. I went with Pro-X crank and rod. I could not find any OEM cranks around. The cylinder had to be sent off for plating and weld the crack. The cases were sandblasted, shock rebuilt, and powercoated the spring while waiting on the cylinder to come back. I installed all OEM parts for the top end. All new clutch plates and friction disk were added as well. Now the bike needs tires! These old 756s are spinning but cant eat.
Update: 1/26/2023 I am about to rebuild this bike again. I have a lot of cool new parts ready to install. I will start filming this weekend. Stay tuned!

Good job dude
I appreciate that Bradley! Did you see the updated rebuild of this same bike yet? It rips!
Bike is beautiful. Think I’m gonna do my 03 the same way.
Thank you sir! 2003 are fast. Check out my other dirt bike videos playlist. This same bike has a ton of new parts installed. Thanks for watching 💨
right on, looking super clean! good job man 👍
Thank you sir! Excellent channel. Cheers!
So beautiful CR!!! 👍👍
(from Greece)
I appreciate that Chris. Supercross A1 tonight!
Great bikes! Getting hard to find in Idaho.
Hondas are cool. I just noticed last week the prices have increased on these bikes as well. There was only about five 2T Hondas on Cycle trader.
@@TORKiT yea they were way advanced and I really believe Honda made a big mistake leaving the 2 stroke tech. They’re very powerful and very lightweight. I have 3 cr’s and they’re super mint all last generation cr’s
@@TheRossillini Hang on to them Hondas. I just found out the 03 has different bottom front forks than the 04 and newer. The caliper mount on the 03 is longer. Honda made a few minor changes from the 02-03 model to the newer 04-07 models.
@@TORKiT yea I had a sick 91 cr500 frame up resto I regret selling bored 20 over.
badass build man, great work!
Much appreciated Crothh! ✊🏻 It looks kinda like that Blaze on MX vs ATV Reflex. 💨
Nice work man!
I appreciate it. Thanks for checking it out. 💯
The bike got featured on VitalMX for bike of the day. Link in description.
Gorgeous
Updates installed video coming soon. Thanks for checking it out. 💯
Update: 1/26/2023 I am about to rebuild this Honda again. I have been collecting a lot of parts. We will start filming this weekend. More videos coming soon. Stay tuned!
Oooooh right on! Anything hard to find? Rare HRC stuff?
@@AnthonyLee223MX Sup Tony2Tapz! The only HRC stuff currently installed is the 2023 Throttle Jockey graphics. I can't find a PC carbon fiber shorty silencer or triple clamps. It looks sick!
@@TORKiT I sent ya a DM on instagram 👍🏼👍🏼
@@AnthonyLee223MX Thats so cool, we raced on Legends. Good looking out bro.
Thanks for the sub 2 Tap! 💯
Really clean bike! How are you liking the lectron carburetor? I have been tossing around the idea of getting on in the future. Any pros/cons?
Good product. Straight out of the box the Lectron ran slightly lean with great performance and pulls off the bottom. I would prefer slightly rich to prevent any motor damage though. Easy to adjust the idle, but on this model the choke is on the back side of the carb. Lectron has a brand new Billetron 38 model that takes care of this issue. I would recommend the Billetron 38 if you have the extra cash laying around haha.
@@TORKiT Ok right on, good to know. In terms of size and fitment is larger than the oem carb? The air box boot can be difficult to pop on at time.
@@matzryde Yeah i just pivot the subframe to install the Lectron. The new Billetron is slightly smaller to help install the air boot as well. 👊
On your current Lectron, did you have to buy the extra bell to make the carb longer or no? How did you adjust the idle? Did you use the screw on the carb or the throttle cable? It didn’t seem like you had any slack in the cable when you revved it.
Hey it’s Josh from MAXX trucks I keep posting on your videos and RUclips is removing them I’ve never seen that before
Hey Pool Guy! I just replied to your ad. Check out my minitruck if you like low cars. Yea
What gearbox oil and what 2stroke oil?
Yes sir! In the gearbox I have always ran Castrol 20w-50 motor oil. The 20w-50 will help maintain smoother, more consistent clutch pull. With the benefits of added tranny/clutch protection, change as needed of course. Two stroke oil I am running Maxima Castor 927 just for the smell. I mix it 40:1, but there is cleaner burning oils out there. I just love that 927 smell in the morning.
