The present is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me and everyone says to focus on it and only it. Torturers.
I’m sorry that your present is not where you want to be 🥹 I think in this case, those around you are still wishing for the best for you nonetheless and hoped to shield you from the overwhelming thoughts of the future or the past. We have the power to pivot our paths in the present, and the lens we choose to approach our cards is half of the work that needs to be done. I hope you’ll hang on to the parts that speaks to you, and use them as your reservoir to sustain you while moving towards where you want to be. And- I hope you’ll stay kind to yourself and remember that it takes time to build and be at where we want to be, and allow yourself to celebrate small wins because any movement deserves to be recognized~ 🧡 🫂 we are rooting for you!!

Omg this is so crazy bc I got that book a while ago but haven’t finished it! What are your thoughts~? 🤓
@@julie_szn I mean what a book! My friends and I all liked it. I don't want to spoil too much, so I'll just say how I felt while reading it. It was quite appalling and it reminded me about the pandemic or just reading about the Holocaust. The writing was fabulous though... Page 17 had some tricky philosophy, but if you understand it, it's such an important part of the book. The doctor's wife was obviously my favorite character. Feminism in the book is just the right amount - it's not glaringly obvious but it isn't neglecting it either. And lastly (I watched the movie as well) the movie is bad compared to the book, the script was bad, the music was bad, and I didn't like how the whole tv screen would go blindingly white to really emphasize the point that people have this white blindness.
