War for the Planet of the Apes | "I Am Like Koba" Deleted Scene | 20th Century FOX
/ foxmovies
I love that Caesar speaks of Kova compassionately. He says Koba couldn’t escape his hatred as if he’s a victim, and that’s truly the case
@Mastnaer Ceef What was that saying? It takes a village to raise a child. Basically means to treat people like people.
Here’s another saying. It takes a child to raze a village. You can guess what that means.
Kova you mean koba bro 😅
Death was the only solace/peace from his suffering that Caesar could give him.
Human work, Human work, HUMAN WORK!
@@baronfarewey9229🤓🤓🤓
I love the huge transition within the Caesar/Rocket relationship. With the Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie, Caesar and Rocket start out as rivals within the ape sanctuary. When Rocket is dominated by Caesar, and Caesar can kill Rocket, he shows mercy instead, allowing Rocket to live. And, with Rocket made more self-aware by the virus, he becomes one of Caesar's most trusted lieutenants. In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Caesar is still dominant and boss, but because of Koba's treachery and Rocket's decision to stay loyal, he is forced into the bus prison. Then, when freed, Caesar knows that Rocket is more than his trusted lieutenant. That is why in War for the Planet of the Apes Caesar not only sees Rocket as his lieutenant, but also his brother and as his successor. That is why he tells Rocket to leave with the others, because he sees in Rocket the makings of a great leader who can take his place.
Let's not forget the pain they feel for eachother for their sons death ( Blue Eyes and Ash) and those 2 were like brothers as well.
And he willingly took a beat down for that lil girl that Cesar had strangely developed paternal instincts towards, despite the animosity that the humans had shown the Apes
@@darikai219 Totally agree and you could see Caesar's anger when he looked at woody harrelson pissed off how woody and the gorilla Red mistreated Rocket!
Agree with you but I don’t think he would be his successor. I would say more so Maurice who’s more of a diplomat, Rockets more of a warrior, a general of sorts.
Mussshhhhyyyyyyyy
I think Rocket and Ceasers friendship might be one of the best things about this franchise. They started out as enemies and finished as brothers.
And their sons were best friends until koba killed ash.
@@sutty85 Poor Ash, man.....
@@sutty85 Also Koba starting the War with the humans which got Blue eyes killed
From a rival to a friend and protector! I speak for everybody when I say Rocket has best character transformation out of all the background apes 🦍
Maurice as well. Caesar was the mind and vision of the tribe. Rocket was the right hand and muscle of the tribe, and maurice was the heart and soul of the tribe. And Koba, was the backbone, once he became lost in his hatred, the whole thing started to crumble.
Caesar's voice is so heavenly
Andy Serkis’s voice. Amazing Actor!
@Homelander You sure? Almost all the results in google show that apes have the vocal tract for human-like speech (but in a higher pitch), but it's just that their brains aren't built for it. The sources for these are all past 2016 and the sources against it are kinda outdated from 2011
@@kb-ww1uw also they cant talk even if they where as smart as humans. Because our mouths and toung are adapted to speak. The apes do not, idk maybe if they practice speaking. They may be able to say some simple words like hi. Thats because it doesn't much mouth and toung movements.
Powerful
Calming
Emotive voice
@@obsidianangel5861 the larrynks (probably i'm writing it wrong) is a muscle that we developed more to speak milions of years ago, the rest of the great apes have it too but it is much lower in our throat, so an ape would not only have to somehow develop human-like intelligence but so change the anatomy of his throat, wich is unlikely considering that evolution because of selection pressure and natural selection takes years to take place, at least in primates
i love how he doesnt speak bad of Koba. he still loves him and you can see the pain in his eyes when speaking of him. he knows he was just a soul lost in hatred.
They all loathe what he became, but mourn the ape he used to be. Someone who had many faults to him but still cared a lot for the apes around him.
But then the humans came back and, tragically, Koba would let his fear and hatred consume him, leading him to become the monster we saw in Dawn.
Just to think that Rocket used to be Caesar's biggest rival.
TheDukeOfTumwater
From bully to brother-in-arms.
Yep, but it was before the apes in the sanctuary were exposed to ALZ-112. Rocket was "dumb" at those times and was doing what alpha males naturally do - he tried to get rid of the stranger who invaded his territory.
When he became smart and aware that Caesar set him and other apes free, he had no reason to rebel against him. Caesar was the ultimate apha male with no doubt.
I had a friend like that.
Balinux what does that mean?
@@Bejar03 first he got bullied, but after he drugged him with special gas. They became the best friends.
I love how you can still feel Caesar’s love for Koba in the way he talks about him, and the way he remembers him all the time. Koba would’ve forever haunted Caesar and will no doubt live on through him had Caesar not die. It’s because he understood Koba, and it’s hard to truly hate on someone when you understood them.
In Rise: A kid grows up and rises to greatness…
In Dawn: A great hero makes mistakes and must confront them…
And in War: A mystical legend shows that he still has faults, and yet still manages to overcome them.
*Caesar is one of the greatest protagonists in all of fiction.*
Wow......magnificent summary
What mistakes did Ceaser commit in the second movie?
@@jubusch
Caesar put too much trust and faith in Koba.
He believed he could control him by putting him in his place and making him submit to his leadership. It was only after getting usurped that he realized how wrong he was.
The only thing he could do was take back his throne by force!
@@terrorsaur599 Not just Koba, but apes in general. It’s clear he believes apes to be good, better than humans. He accepts that humans can be good but he sees apes as better. That’s why he discusses humans vs apes with Maurice “Apes fight too” “But we are family” It’s this that blinds him to Kobe’s hatred. He believes that because he’s an Ape, he will act ape-like and good, and thus sees it too late. The transition between film 2 and 3 is that Caesar sees that humans and apes are more alike than he thought, both good and bad. He is cured of his flawed ideological view of his species.
Wow, youre summary is very good and I 100% approve this
Koba went from the best soldier to a betrayer. While Rocket went from a bully to the most loyal out of all
I just noticed how Caesar's voices goes from being raspy to actually sounding like Andy Serkis
I love him doing sign language behind his back, and the subtitles showing as if Cesar can see what he is saying.
He can. Grunts and sounds can be understood, hand signs is to create deeper meaning. Caesar can understand Rocket on a basic level. It’s just for our benefit.
I wish they had rocket speak atleast once in the franchise, kinda like maurice had a couple of scenes where he spoke
Should say extended, but not deleted. "He took too much from me" was in the trailer, but I guess now we know where it came from. The 'final' good bye is touching though.
It seems like it was just yesterday when Rocket ripped off Caesar's sweater in the ape sanctuary, man how they've grown.
Awww!! Now that's what I call brotherly love.
I like how ceasar and rocket's friendship is growing first they started off as enemies but now ceasar trusts rocket like he was his own brother just like koba and at the end of the movie when ceasar died he would want rocket to lead the apes
For the people saying "this isn't deleted" the dialogue from 0:10 to 0:19 and 0:58 to 1:01 is not in the movie.
I thought I saw this in the movie
SSV Noble it waas
SSV Noble it was but the scene ends when Caesar says "and I still cannot escape mine" the rest of it is deleted
SSV Noble me too
when caesar was talking they cut it all he said was you must go then he kept talking
Mandela Effect incoming ig
Excellent movie ❤
One of the greatest Trilogy’s and characters of all time 🌟
They way his talking gets better in each film is just amazing. Literally sounds like a grown HUman
Even though Cesar has another son it's still sad that both he & Rocket lost their 1st born sons I hated that Ash & Blue Eyes were killed Blue Eyes by the Colonel, Rocket by Koba.
I feel so sorry for what happened to Caesar wife Cornelia, his eldest son Blue Eyes, his friend Luka , and who knows how many Apes that were killed by those military monsters.
May Caesar and his Apes Legacy's live on inside all of us. ✝️✝️🙏🙏✊🏼✊🏼🕊️🕊️
Thousands of Ape. And 63 Dead in the First war in "War for the Planet Of The Apes"
I am so late but I noticed at 0:56 when Caesar is talking about hate you can see Caesar's eye is cut and red. That's the same eye that Koba was blind in. Just another comparison
It such a shame this extended version of the scene got deleted.I know that it was probably because of the pacing issues, but come on,😔this is a final goodbye scene between casear and his 2nd best friend rocket💙💙💙💙 like those two been through alor since rise of the planet of the apes.I highly highly doubt this scene makes it into the bluray release, but it would be pretty great if it did or if a bluray extended cut version of the film was released.
Im still confused as to how Caesar knows that rocket is talking to him when Caesar isn’t looking at rocket. How are you reading his sign language w out even looking in his direction even
The grunts he made, serkis explained this
Their verbal language is still developing, but there are key noises and grunts that make distinct, simple meanings for them to understand in a pinch. The gestures help create better definitions and more complex meaning.
@@choyomianhae3555where did he explain that ? I am really interested, thanks !
Rocket refusing to leave without Cesar is proof of loyalty.
Masterpiece
Rocket might have not liked Caesar when they first encountered one another in the first movie but in the end it was Caesar, rocket, Maurice and Luca that stood by each other and didn’t betray each other.
Although hatred's an ugly thing, I think Caesar's is more justifiable than Koba's ever was. Caesar's beloved wife and eldest son were murdered, whereas Koba was merely an abused lab rat.
Koba's hatred was totally justified in my opinion, he was mistreated and abused by humans his entire life, Koba didn't have the luxury Caesar had of being raised by loving humans, all Koba has known is abuse and experimentation in labs!
Be that as it may, Koba took his anger out on innocents; Ceasar, on the other hand, only went after the people responsible.
I would say that Andy Serkis should have won an Oscar for his performance in this film. But since the Oscars is now nothing more than a hunk of metal representing "wokeness" I will simply say Serkis' performance was phenomenal and he could do a lot better than Hollywood.
rocket went from enemy to the most loyal freind ceasar had apart from maurice you cant tell he would hive his life for ceasar
Low key I wished Rocket would have talked at some point in the trilogy.
rocket and maurice were the real ones for caesar when the first rise of the planet of the apes and rocket and became his enemy at first but eventually they became friends and brother is called and do you notice that rocket always concerned about caesar first movie especially the last one he really loves caesar and their chemistry is just good and cute tru friendship hehe
These movies are so underrated.
Impressive,Ceaser is so smart he can understand sign language without even looking
Cornelia and blue eyes shouldn't of died. There are MANY ways the plot of the story could of went and MANY reasons on why Caesar was on a mission to attack the Colonel but killing his wife and son wasn't one of them :'(
For some reason it's cool to see an Ape ponder existence and his purpose.
So how is this a "Deleted Scene?" I've seen this in the movie. Does anyone else agree?
Nope
Alexis Serna This is an extended version of the scene in the movie. I work at a movie theater and saw the film countless times, believe me this scene is far shorter in theaters.
BloodyFlowerFilms you must have the most happiest job on the planet seeing new movies all day long
Ender Zane Oh, you have no idea bro. LOL. Free movies rule.
@@BloodyFlowerFilms wow.I guess that is my job in the future lol
Caesar and rocket best friend
WOW. The level of photo real CGI in this movie is staggering.
I loved it how Caesar and Rocket had a friendship/brotherly moment together.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Also, I loved it how Caesar and Rocket putted their heads together.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was a caring/sweet part.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was beautiful
I can see why it was removed. Caesar speaks a little too fluently here compared to the rest of the film.
It's interesting though how much more human-like Caesar looks appearance-wise than Rocket. I wonder if it has something to do with Caesar being exposed in-utero while Rocket was exposed as an adult? Maybe the virus outright gave Caesar more human genes as opposed to just boosting his intelligence?
Rocket ack like a brother for ceaser
Best scene.
This isn’t a deleted scene I remember seeing it in the theaters
Makes me sad knowing this wasn’t in the film
Matt Reeves GOAT for this movie
Best trilogy ever !!! ❤️
the development in Caesar’s English is amazing
The amazing conclusion to a perfect trilogy
scene for cry
Im glad i saw this never really got into the 3rd ape movie but this scene has changed my perspective forever
Ceasar can speak better then me
Its so sad for rocket that ceaser died 😔 i feel bad for him
i could've sworn that i saw this in the movie
I mean koba had a point. When you read what Humans did to him and hid mother. I'd say fair game. Even will experimented on Caesars mother and was happy to do so. They were pulled from their homes in the wild and thrown into a cell.
But Caesar made the one rule for Ape County: Ape not kill Ape, Koba broke that rule by killing Ash; Rockets son for seeing how Apes won't kill humans since the Apes want to be in peace in the forest
OMG. I'm still blown away by how lifelike this CGI looks. Eat it, Disney and every other effects driven studios.
Why was this not in the scene of the movie a was very pivotal moment for Caesar.
The CGI is absolutely mindblowing.
It would been nice to see rocket talk
Love rocket alot caesar really changed him alot
I already saw this scene in the actual movie.
Was this actually deleted? It's like I slightly remember this.
Nothing about this scene tells me that it’s unfinished.
The CGI blends in perfectly with the rest of the environment.
And the lip syncing of the apes is spot on.
Which means that this scene was probably deleted at the very last moment right before the movies release.
I was about to comment "was I the only one that remembers this scene" then I read the comments
this isn’t deleted
It makes sense that caesar looks weird since he's 2nd generation like a mutant ape born with the viru,s while every other ape was infected with it.
Thats what you call pals
I miss Koba.
@Hampus Peterson I know, but I miss Koba, as well as all the others.
Who dares.
Who cares about him? He got what he deserved.
Caesar + Rocket = BFFS/BROTHERS FOREVER!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I get it Caesar.
You wanted revenge just like him.
why ceaser died i thought it will be happy ending?
he died happy.. he did everything he could to save the other Apes.
imagine if they kept this in
They shouldn't have deleted the end bit
I hope he becomes the Leader in the upcoming sequel in King of the planet of the apes there will be a scene in the movie Rocket speaking to Cornelius about his father like Cornelius wants to be the leader and Rocket will say "I will Protect you as your Father Protect me"
In the beginning the ape squad was caesar maurice koba and buck in dawn it was caesar maurice blue eyes rocket
And in the end of war it was maurice rocket cornelius and nova
I don't think Caesar is exactly like Koba. Koba wanted to punish every human, even the kids for what the doctors did to him in the experiments. Caesar only wanted to kill the man who killed his family and any human soldier that stood in his way to get to Colonel but that is it. Caesar is one of my all time favorite characters and I did not want it to end. I wanted there to be one more movie before it all ended. Thanks for uploading. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Caesar is nothing like Koba. Caesar is better than him.
Wait, this scene was deleted? I thought I saw this on TV
caesar sudden british accent
Rocket Maurice And little cornelius were the last of the group ❤
How did Caesar know he was asking what was wrong? Rocket was doing sign language.
I…. I actually like this more. We see more of the brotherhood between them and that Caesar still cares for the others while still wanting the murder of his family and friends dead
There are people like Koba and some like Caesar when it comes to revenge and vengeance
Caesar And Rocky are like Sonic and knuckles
whyd they delete this scene
Koba and Maurice are the two counterpart personalities of Ceaser. Ceaser has a great tendency for empathy, intelligence, patience and calmness that Maurice personifies. However, in the end we also see his Koba side, of not letting go off hate.
😢😢😢😭😭ceaser
He's like koba but he isn't koba he can still change koba can't because he's dead
This was in the movie 😕
According to the wiki, Rocket is Caesar's second-in-command, so does that mean that Rocket is once again the alpha of the apes now that Caesar's dead? That would be cool since, in Rise, Rocket was a bully and kind of a brute leader. After being dethroned by Caesar, you could see Rocket's persona change throughout the movies. Now, we see Caesar's former rival prove his loyalty and friendship, and with a better understanding on how to be a good leader.
I wish that this scene had included Caesar telling Rocket that, if he were to die killing the Colonel, Rocket would have to become the new alpha of the apes and guide them to their new home. Also, assuming Rocket does not have/plan to have any other children of his own, it would be cool to see Caesar ask him to raise Cornelius as his own and teach him to be the next alpha. Rocket would naturally be hesitant, and maybe even self-aware that he was once a bad ruler, but Caesar would reassure Rocket that he is ready and must fulfill this position. Also, I think it would allow Caesar to feel more at ease and secure knowing that the apes and his son would be in the good caring hands of BOTH Rocket and Maurice; his two loyal brothers that remained by his side since the first movie.
Rocket was just like any other alpha chimp, probably even nicer, when he was exposed to the alz drug he became alot smarter and recognized what Ceasar has done for him.
Rip
For god's sake, give this man a freaking Oscar😠
How did Ceaser know what he was signing without looking at him
Deleted scene?? It’s in the movie
How did Caesar read that sign language? He wasn’t facing Rocket. Did he hear them hand motions or something?
Aw Rocket is kinda like a father to Caeser or a best friend it is so cute
Pretty sure this scene was in the movie.
Luckily Netflix included that scene
Did Caesar know what Rocket said? Because he couldn't have. Rocket signed to him while Caesar wasn't looking.
