Olga R. from Russia had a gorgeous beam routine!!! Reminded me a lot of Ludmilla Ezhova and her unique combinations! Produnova was a BEAST on that vault, no one has ever done it like she could.
Produnova was a victim of the scoring system at the time. Few of her results were wrong, since by the rules the judges scored her correctly, if you were out of a 10, it mostly came down to execution deductions and she consistently had a few more. Hence why she never wound up better than 3rd and 4th place finishes in her career, even in event finals like her floor bronze in 97, her beam bronze at the 2000 Olympics, her string of 4th place finishes here, her bronze in the AA in 97. However under the open ended system where her insane difficulty, especialy on vault and floor, could be properly rewarded she would win a ton of titles, especialy if she didn't have to compete when Biles was at her best. She was born in the wrong era.
@@frankiedelgadoes you are most definitely correct on that. Many a fantastic gymnast was victimized by that scoring system unfortunately- which was why it had to go.
