Mounting LED whips on the corners, especially in amber are useful when on the trail at night, not only because it makes you more visible, but further provides light close to the vehicle making it easier to determine if you have obstacle clearance without having to use your offroad light bar which will likely produce too much light.

So far I have just let it dangle in the bed upper corners. No issues yet. It's a 3 prong connector tucked into a sleeve. A little die electric grease and it has been fine. Thanks for watching.

I just used a 4pin trailer plug and plug them in when I want to use them

Could be, or a wiring issue. Make sure you connected the wiring correctly. It's easy to cross them. Thanks for watching.
