Alien is a science-fiction horror and action media franchise centered on the film series which depicts warrant officer Ellen Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) and her battles with an extraterrestrial lifeform, commonly referred to as "the Alien" or Xenomorph.
Produced and distributed by 20th Century Studios, the series began with Alien (1979), directed by Ridley Scott, and was followed by three sequels: Aliens (1986), directed by James Cameron; Alien 3 (1992), directed by David Fincher, and Alien Resurrection (1997), directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. Scott also directed a prequel series, composed of Prometheus (2012) and Alien: Covenant (2017), which follows the exploits of the David 8 android and the creators of the eponymous creatures referred to as the "Engineers".
The series has led to numerous novels, comics, video games and an upcoming television series developed by Scott for FX on Hulu, with Noah Hawley. It has inspired a number of spin-offs - most notably the Alien vs. Predator series, which combines the continuities of the Alien franchise with the Predator franchise and consists of two films as well as various series of comics, books, and video games.

Though it won't happen due to the canon BS that some religiously follow - a new film or TV series should pick up from the ending of AVP - the Alien Queen is found after the debriefing of survivor Lexx by the Weyland Industries company and transported to their labs and that's how the Xenos get to Earth!
Ummm... in AVP the idea was that the Predators had brought the Xenos to Earth a long long time ago.
Canon in on going series exists for a reason.
AVP and Alien can't blend in one timeline simply due to the fact that Xenos would be public known by the end of AVP2, which takes place in present day.
Where as Alien takes place long in the future and everyone thought alien life doesn't exist. Now add in the involvement of Predators and you have no explanation how no one knows about two alien races existing

My idea for an Alien5 movie is as follows:
It takes place after alien4 and takes places on an earth in ruins.
TheRipleyClone has transformed into an entity that is producing eggs,and a lot of humans are affected,and
a war breaks out.They have to use a nuke on the swarms of xenomorphs and decidedes to travel
to the planet where they think the xenomorphs orginate from.There they find there are multiple
forms of xenomorphs.They manages to form a clone of a xenomorph that is able to communicate with them.
And a peace is established.
But as allways Weyland-Yutani has spies that want the xenomorph for their biological weapon program.
And it is a surprice who the spy is. And that Weyland-Yutami has a lab on a spacestation not far from the xenomorph
planet. Where they finds forms of xenomorphs that noone has seen before.
Ok, Alien is a franchise TM all rights reserved, you are breaking some rules, and the lawyers will visit you soon.

Asuming that Resurrection was the 4th Movie and for it, Weyland Yutani doesn't exist anymore on that story. It was another Era.
