But, rule no. 1 of auditing is to *always* ask for IDs of anyone who approaches. Cath was good example. Didn't ask for police shoulder numbers or designation cards
The "legal team" will ALWAYS assume the worst possible case , heaviest drone etc

They aren't supposed to *know* the law. Just enforce whatever their masters *say* is the law. It's not called the police *force* for no reason.
A degree In law is what you'd need to have a good knowledge of it. Police don't even know many of the basics 😆

If the police say this to you, just say l know who took it l am go after them. You will have them there in no time.
Where I live it goes straight to a recording. It's like ringing a bank.Press 1 for this, 2 for that etc.If you go in person they tell you to do it online.

My Grandma died 10 months ago aged 95 after she'd been burgled twice in a month and became so frighten she sold her lovely house that she had lived in for over 63 years and moved into sheltered accommodation living in fear of being burgled again which ultimately is what killed her. My Grandma was senior director of the company business and when she retired did charity work until 2 months before her death. My cousin Justin estimated she and Grandpa had paid taxes into the goverment coffers exceeding £150 million and she will pay lots more after probate is signed off.
That officer handled that fairly well tbh, polite and professional, knew you weren't doing anything wrong and left you to it

Disgraceful how police respond within minutes for trivial things but if a burglar steals your TV from your house they give only a crime number and don't even visit you.

They have procedures in place to have them blurred out for privacy..Never seen an auditor comply with basics like that.

Thought the Cops did okay. They are called out for a non event and have to establish whether a crime is being committed. They didn't escalate and asked the questions you would expect. Then they left. Good audit.

They might, if the person proved they were legit, had insurance etc. After all, its a lot of paperwork if his drone falls out of sky for one of numerous reasons and lands on the roof for example. Could be costly and risky to get it back, possible fire risk due to li-on battery also.
I certainly would not let some random dude fly over a business I was in charge off, not unless they contact in advance, proved competance, had insurance etc.
After all if they *give* permission, he could end up suing THEM if something went wrong....

@@kensukadventures628 The airspace above ANY building is NOT owned by the company and they have NO aurthorty to tell people not to fly over it as NA mentions CAA control it. What about the aircrafts than fly over daily and also Google Maps .
Firstly I would of asked to seen the ID of the two plastic 🤡🤡 such as the designation cards and warrent cards othwrwise I would off informed them to Foxtrot Oscar and not speak to them. What 💩💩

@@DMC888 You cant stop them (well not legally, it is pretty easy to stop them but not legal, although virtually impossible to get caught if done properly, not that I would bother as the kit is expensive) - its about not giving them permission, then logging what happens, noting all business disruption, then seeing if a case can be made for tresspass as clearly not all aspects of the flight were reasonable (flying with denied permission) and due to the reasonable enjoyment and use of the land being interfered with (having to get staff to close blinds, cover up anything sensitive, warn workers etc etc).

All you have to say to a dispatcher is there’s a man with a camera and you’ll get a copper or two or more responding within minutes get your house burgled and you’ll be lucky if anyone turns up

Hi Northern Audits, this compound is actually something along the lines of Poly, they all start with poly, tetra, which means four in ancient Greek!, fluoro-ethylene, which means God knows what, the original simple form of which is of course poly-ethylene!,, also known as 'ollypethalene'! the whole lot and its parts means a lot to those who have studied and understand these things but none of them think we need an explanation, they know what is best!.
I have been using these sorts of materials for years and have come up with a number of slight variations for my own amusement, among them a whole rake of sticky stuff of varying descriptions which I call 'snot'. There is one that I use a lot which happens to be the main agent in emulsion paint along with a lot of other applications. It is called PVA, or poly-vinyl-acetate, because of its behaviour, when you mix it with a bit of water and paint it on to a slippery surface, even bathroom tiles, for better adhesion of plaster it turns transparent as it dries!, for that reason I call it 'magic milk'.
All the time while writing this I am half listening to your encounters here, I must admit that hearing all these poor fools saying much the same silly things over and over again I have to wonder just how long they think they can go on like this!, it is still quite funny but also rather sad!.
So two cops turn up and tell you they are responding to a complaint about you filming!, I am so tempted to call them out with a complaint about the colour of my neighbour's hair!. Is that what they do nowadays?. Of course that would not happen unless I told them I was acting on behalf of some massive global corporation. Silly of me to think that their real job is to investigate criminal offences. So good of you to be so kind and considerate with them!.

Very well played, I think one of the first questions we should ask when approached by the police when no crime has taken pace is have you used 'blues&twos' , I have seen folk kerb their cars and go through red lights to give way, obviously thinking it's a real emergency, that is what 999 is for, never seen the police remonstrate with company owners for using this vitally important service for trivialities.
never ever break the rules of the road to let emergency vehicles through, you could geta £1000 fine for your courtesy.... crazy country

People use words like suspect and suspicious but never disclose what they suspect as if the term suspect is enough to make what they are doing as wrong

Lovely encounter with the police officers, the young one knew a bit about your rights, good on him. I still don't understand why company staff approach with such hostility, shame on them, they should big up their workplace and offer more information to an industriial enthusiast, it wouldn't hurt them to be more hospitable..

The muppet officer states "You are not really breaking the law". What he should have stated is that he knew you are NOT breaking the law at all and their call was a complete waste of time. I would have answered every one of their questions with "I don't answer questions" and I would just fly the drone anyway.

I think these people have some connection to producing technology to do with missiles too. So they may be super sensitive. Many years ago my husband did some training with them on their systems when he was working on diving support vessels.

PTFE is the same as the white tape plumber's use on threads of valves it is a plastic compond but obviously the hoses will be black and a thicker diameter

PTFE often gets used by plumbers when sealing the threads on brass compression fittings - you’ll see it in the local DIY stores as it looks likes rolls of white thin tape.
That stuff is a life saver when it comes to getting rid of leaks in all sorts of situations, and at around 35p, cheap too

Sorry didn’t inste= to tell life stutym (I think the morphine pump is working) so hve to brief. The white tape was not used on the olives but just on the threads. Perhaps it would have been better - a right “belt & braces” job as dad would say!

Why is this 'good work'? All that was achieved was to worry staff going about their normal day to day jobs and concern them enough waste police time.

The incident was reported and had to be investigated. The complainant did not know the legal status of the activity but felt it strange that someone hiding his face was lurking at the gates of the premises.
If an elderly person reported strange noises outside their house late at night and the police checked it out and found a cat would you expect them to be warned for wasting public resource?

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly plod arrive when called to a secure building, (with security) and where no law has been broken! I listen to LBC radio often to hear how bad the police service is across the country when a victim of an actual crime calls the police and they take hours or days to attend, if they bother to attend at all. Sad and sorry state this has become.

It really is time to start charge people for false police call outs.
These people moan about a man with a camera, so they call more men with cameras and weapons. (There is reason why we dont give the average copper guns)
We've had a call about someone filming 🤦🤷wtf.. why didn't the operator just advise them filming is not a crime.
It's weird how the police get a call about someone with a drone and the officers - WHO COULD GOOGLE IT OR LOOK IT UP ON THE DRIVE TO THE SCENE OF THE INCIDENT - say they have no idea about drone laws and ask you if they're right. It would have taken them 1 minute to find out for themselves on the drive over.
