Hey! An archaeologist here! This was super interesting to see from you guys :) I love all the animal stuff, but seeing something pertaining to my interests and career is awesome too! The pigment looks fairly red ochre-like, so it may have been a religious site perhaps as red ochre is used for that in many cultures (can never be 100% sure about the nature of sites however)! Thanks for sharing!

My 5 and 4 year old sons were wondering how you get a Golden Ticket and I said if you buy a book at the show you may get a prize of a Golden Ticket to go on an adventure. They said they would like to do do that 😂 I said well we need to wait until they come back to Boston to try and win. They said well if we don’t get a ticket can we still go on the adventure?! One of the big selling points of your series imo is the Music. It often times really makes the landscape shots all the more magical, the build-ups all the more thrilling and the overall experience all the 'wilder' and all the more enjoyable as a viewer. How do you go about choosing the right Music? Do you hire a composer or do you use licensed music for your content? Thanks, all the best.

If you want to do something like this again in the future, you have to get DStretch for your phones! You can easily make pictures of the sites and dstretch the colours, so you can see the figures much better.
I'm studying prehistoric archeology and have been to Namibia for rock paintings myself this year, so maybe I can tell you a little bit more about those figures. Well, especially that I can't tell you much more. It is nearly impossible to date those images and really impossible to say, who has made them and why they made them. But I can tell you, that you found rock *paintings* . They're typical for the coast line rocks in southern Africa and often found in Abris (the not-so-cave). A different style of rock images are engravings, mostly found more inland and not just in caves/abris. The paintings show much more human figures (like those you found), while the engravings just seldom show humans, instead many animals, foot prints or geometrical forms. The paint used for painting is, like you mentioned, made from coloring rocks like ocre and mixed with animal blood or organic resources. There are finidings of bowls made out of orstrich eggs or shells with rests of these materials in them. Red, white, black... some figures contain all those colours. While engravings often show single figures, who seem to have no big relation to the other figures on site, the paintings often show scenes. Sometimes you can cleary see actions performed in there, but everything is interpretation. And well, interpretation always is subjective, so you just can not say what the meanings of these pictures were.
If you have further questions, feel free to ask me!
Also, do you now if the rock paintings you've found there were already documented? Or were they a new discovery?

Coyote could you showcase the coconut crab. I'm not asking you to go in the pinch some because the name is given for the strength to crush coconuts, but I want to see what you have to say.

Did you guys get any kind of update of who could have painted them and when? It would be cool to get some more history on it.

Nick Tokar I’m Learning about this in school. They are most likely from the ''Old Stone Age'' (Paleolithic Age) or even ''New Stone Age'' (Neolithic Age), the people who did the cave paintings are Cavemen, they traveled around and moved place to place living a nomadic pattern. They stayed in caves until the people figured out to farm. They Painted Caves to show Plans, tell stories, and write their language, scientists have actually decoded the language. (Sorry for my grammar). Cave paintings tell us a lot of info about the people.

Probably pretty soon after god created man. Humans did NOT evolve from monkeys. We are the creation of god.
