This dude it very intuitive and knowledgeable. More 350z videos 🤟🏼
You made it look easy, it’s probably going to take me a week to do mine, lol
How long did it take Miku
Howard Man oh shit that was awhile ago. It took me literally like a week to do 😅.
@@HatsuneM1ku01 Ha nice. Usually takes me 3 or 4 days without a lift. Lifts are nice
I got a 370z got it all done in a day. And the slave cylinder broke when we test drove it 😤
That’s mad funny ngl😭
Good install, some good little tricks in there.
Oh what's up dude! I've watched quite a few of your videos, fancy seeing you here!
Ya I stumbled across this video and you look like you know your way around the shop. Good on you. It's great seeing younger people wrenching in the garage.
Very nice, was really concerned about dropping the tranny on jack stands and was trying to think of a way to do it less than 2ft above the concrete. You sir have saved me. Love the videos, subscribed
Respect for dropping that by yourself
Dope video loved it. Made me feel a lot better about replacing the clutch on my z
How did it go?
ow bro i have bin looking so long for a really good step by step clutch video on the z thx man now i can start mine
Good luck dude!
I'm looking forward to the drifting videos now.
Great communication skills, very impressive as I am looking for a G35 clutch. Thank you!!
Man, your videos are awesome!
I am 21 years old and I am thinking about living in another country.
I work as a mechanic, but living here (Brazil) is a sh!t!

Well done! Thanks for the detailed steps and pro tips! 👍
Dope video, ima do mine myself. Thanks for the motivation
So the lighter the flywheel the noisier they get. I got a 2006 350z enthusiasts and its got a stage 1 in it with a after market light fly and its loud chattering breath taken embarrassing noisy. What was your over all experience and how long it it take you to do it all?
Awesome video bro. Subscribed 🤙🏼
Good stuff! I dont think thats a JWT flywheel though, as their flywheels have replaceable wear discs and this is just one flat mating surface.
Thanks again for uploading this!
AHH I see. You got the Iron flywheel as opposed to their aluminium one.
Good buy
+Z33 Garage it's the lower end model from JWT. I bought it from a legit vendor, I think 600 out the door!
Subie Kyeg damn that is sweet! I got their other flywheel for 40 bucks used at formula D. just needed a new face plate
What type of grease did you use for your spline? I'm trying to replace my clutch too on my G35 and I can't figure what kind to use.
I have always used any High temp grease. Make sure it stands up to 500 degrees and it should work fine! And be sure not to over do it on the grease.
my rear main seal is absolute aids right now.
Any tips for replacing the rear main seal with the upper pan still attached? Did you use OEM or aftermarket?
Dam kid your good I can't even do that wtf , your a mechanic already
Love the vid sir. Awesome job! I read in a couple threads that you have to alone your flywheel marks with the trans marks. No solid info on that. Is that true or not?
align
How did you learn how to do this, parents? trade school? would love to know.
shawcobra honestly I’m all self taught. I was never scared to take something apart and I’m pretty good at learning how things work. Once you understand the process it all makes sense!
Learn by doing it ! best way IMO ! RUclips is a big help nowadays, When i was learning the only way you could get video of the job was to acquire factory training videos which were hard to come by and Chiltons manuals, Ive got a collection :)
I'm gonna need you to do mine now. Kthxbai
👍🏻
Invest in a trans jack it made clutch replacements easy
Just stumbled onto your channel , great vid. Question on how you learned all you know about cars like mechanics wise , did you take any classes ? I' just got into cars a few months ago and I was looking to take classes and all and wanted some heads up on learning . Thanks man !
Can you do a video on how to clean the camshaft or how to realign them?
What clutch is this? Mines stinking and boutta do mine just thinking of which one to go with
awesome job.....well informed...
good work, thank you for tips
Props for tackling this by yourself... but why did you have to undo the intake and strut bar at the beginning? lol
Never mind I see you got the top bell housing bolts from the engine bay, I'm lucky enough to have access to a lift when needed and really cuts labor time in half.
Dude we should cruise sometime! I live in Washington too drive a 380awhp 04 sti
Bring the bmw baaaaaack. I just subscribed when I watched your swap video. I'm about to do a swap on mine really soon. I like the 350 tho
Is it necessary to change the flywheel?
Nice and helpful video, gonna do that same job soon.
Just have problems with exhaust bolts all so fucking rusted.. waiting motivation....
What year is your 350??
What material are your tunnels made out of man? Glass? Silicon?
Also cool Z man, I got a z33 as well. watched a few of your videos and I ride as well so I’m definitely subbing lol
Anyone know how to prevent the flywheel from rotating while torquing it down?
What was your clutch and flywheel set up and can it be used with the 2003 g35 as well?
Ended up with a JWT clutch and flywheel combo. I believe its compatible, just follow the instructions to be sure!
Do you get any clutch chatter ? Mines got a Lightweight Flywheel and the gearbox sounds like bag of broken nuts until the revs get over 2K
good video man
How tf did you get the rear main in without taking off the upper pan? Everything I’ve heard it’s literally impossible to have it seal correctly.
Yeah I’ve heard the same. Ideally you’d want to drop the pan, but what I did was use that clear plastic from clamshell packaging, and shape it in a slight cone, and wrap it around the crankshaft. Put grease on the lips of the seal, and slide it over the plastic, and it’ll slide onto the crankshaft. It was risky but I was confident and it ended up never leaking! Hope that makes sense
Was there a specific way to install the flywheel? As in considering the pins and indents ?
Yes , there is , the Dow pin HAS TO BE ALIGNED IN THE GUIDE HOLE ON THE FLYWHEEL ! car will not start or will start and turn off from incorrect timing from sensor
Dropping my trans on my 370z how did u get the top bell housing mounting bolts off?
Herm Masa I think I got them from up top using an extension or two!
lucky laaaa you have all the tools. i only have philip screwdriver. and jack without handle.
Tell me how to fix the 3 gear shift
did you drop upper oil pan to get a good fit for the rear main seal?
where does the RTV help the most? where does applying it help most? around the half moon?
How much time It take for you to do it ?
It takes about a day, but I think I finished it in 2. I wasn't in a rush and had to do a few parts runs!
Subie Kyeg how many hours a day did you spend on it?
Yeah thanks but I’ll be taking my Zed to a mechanic when the clutch needs replacing again. Much too difficult for me.
Great job!
Well done
good job well done
Where the links at for the parts?
yessss
Nice
How much would u charge to install the same kit on my Z?
I think you're missing the point of his DIY videos. More specifically the DIY part. Lol
i need to know the mane.of the parts
Saved yourself $2k in just labor
Sorry but I couldn't help but notice you didn't show what u have to do to the pilot bushing which is very critical and that is impregnate it with oil .. vital
How much do shops charge for this?
Phone your shop.
Around 1k labor
I swear I’ve seen this car for sale this month
Bro Im just starting on on RUclips and just bought a new clutch, would you have time to help me out if I drive to u I shout u out or what
Pay is also n option
Doesn't look like it bro. Lol
Why do you have a hole in your ear? I know some guys like earrings but none pierce a hole that size!
Techno Creeper why do you care lmao
Another simpleton.
10:50 why don't you just wear gloves?
This is a fn nightmare...
Thumbs DOWN because of the music
whats wrong with your ears - they look broken :/
Why watch the video when you're using a brain thats on a fourth grade level? You obviously have no tools whatsoever to even begin a job like this. Watching kids fingerpaint might be more up your alley.
of course the clutch is toast a non-experienced little newb was driving
