quite literally sitting in my car of temp 95 degrees as i'm watching this HAHA
And I living in Brazil, in winter, and the temp today was 28C, like it’s always summer in this country haha
It didn’t even occur to me until I was well into high school that the southern hemisphere had winter during our summer and vice versa. It’s kinda embarrassing that I was that old when I found out 😅 American schools failing me
It still surprises me when i hear someone saying that june-august is winter
I would cry if Christmas was in summer without snow!
Yeah like when she said the winter book gave her Christmas vibes so she put it back my mind was like spinning
I live in Australia like her, and I’m not joking, WE DO NOT GET A SINGLE DROP OF SNOW DURING CHRISTMAS

When I heard Rachel say "August is winter", I got confused. Then I remembered that she lives in a different country. I wish it was winter in the USA! Since my birthday is at the beginning of August, I have a lot of books I asked for that I'm excited to read. Since I've loved the first three books I've read by Emily Henry, I'm hoping to get the last two books by her that I have yet to read which are Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation.

hi rachel, i usually never comment but when you said you want to read a longer series I HAD TO recommend you The Mirror Visitor Quartett by Christelle Dabos. I have read the series for the 3rd time already because I love it so so much. The world building is amazing and it really is mind blowing how the author connects everything that happens in all 4 books. I never see it being talked about and I think it is such a shame because it is an amazing series and you fall in love with the characters!

Ooo- I’m jealous you are reading Queen of shadows. I did that one a few months ago and it is my favorite of the TOG series 😍
the medoran chronicles was one of my favorite series last year. I didn't love the prison healer (really, solely because of the ending) and i never finished that trilogy, but TMC was so good. (Book 1 isn't knock-your-socks-off amazing, but i loved every other book, and the series made me cry on more occasions than I'd like to admit). Happy reading

I'm finally caught up on library holds so I don't have a specific TBR either. I did finally start the ACOTAR series in July, so I'm now on ACOMAF. I also finally got a Kindle and that's opened up a whole new world to me lol. August is probably going to be more of a mood reading month for me!

Winter is crazy for August. It’s literally hot here in America specifically the south of America we are getting. 32°C that’s crazy.
My August TBR consists of 9 books which are: Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong, The Ballad of Never After by Stephanie Garber, The Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness, A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, The Dragon and the Stone by Kathryn Butler, Powerless by Lauren Roberts, Journey to the Heart of the Abyss by London Shah, Everyone in my Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson, and Firefight by Brandon Sanderson. I’m really excited for all of these. Let me know if you’ve read any of them and if you liked them or not or if any of these are on your TBR.
Crikey just looked up that book by Lynette Noni and here in the UK the paperback is £65.61 🫢 oh my goodness. Look forward to your thoughts on that one as it sounds great.
