    This looks delicious!
    You’ve got to manually focus your camera for stationary shots, auto focus was going crazy😂. Also almost all cameras have a minimal focus distance so it can not focus on something that is closer than 12” or so to the camera lens.

    How do you store the wine that you have already made? Can they all be stored in the same conditions? Is there any ‘maintenance required while they are maturing?

      During secondary fermentation they all end up in a closet until it's either time to rack them again, or until they become clear and are ready to be bottled. Once bottled they end up in a storage ottoman to finish aging. The only wine that will require a different technique is a rice wine i'm planning to make.

      The general rule of thumb for fruit wines is between 3 - 5 pounds (1.361 - 2.268 kilograms) of fruit per gallon (4 liters).

      The mango flavor was rather light. I would suggest using at least 4 pounds of fruit. Good luck on your new channel.

    Why you used chopped raisin ? How have any problem if without raisin?

      Raisins (optional) add flavor and body to the wine, and a tiny bit of nutrients.

    Oh another question: do I mash up the lemon and put it in there just like the mango or do I only need the juice?

    Definitely, interesting. I'm taking it up as a new hobby of mine but want to use a more classic version. Like how our greater grandparents created. I've learned to substitute yeast for grapes but any other tips would help.

      It can become an addictive (fun) hobby, Just remember, sanitization is key. I try to make this channel as natural as possible, but I always suggest using Star Sans or some other method of sanitized tools.

    Ok I made a bath of mango wine it took about month to go through primary fermentation. I racked it to conditioning to allow it to clear but figured I would take a taste and there was not a lot of flavor. Is mango wine one that flavor enhances with back sweetening? I started with a 1100 specific gravity and it wenT to a 998 when I racked it so it’s dry.

    charles can i ask how are you getting a full gallon from this when you have to rack the finish product which have a level of lees on the bottom to rack off and leave the gallon short i found i had to use at least two more cups of water to make up for that lees lost

      Make an extra cup at the start, freeze it, thaw to top of during rackings.

      You should use ripe ones. They are sweeter and will add more flavor. Check the updated ingredients list for a change in the amount of lemon juice used.

    Greetings. You did not use an air trap in this fermentation. Why?

      Thank you for watching. That particular fermenter has a built-in airlock which is the rec button you see on the top of the fermenter. In subsequent videos I've changed the format to include that feature. I have now added that omission to the description section.

    If I did know so much sugar go in to alcohol I would not drink so much on my life that why people who drink have big belly insulin resistance good think I dont drink any more for know yes for know it good to give thing break in life

      Yes, but bread yeast in not designed to tolerate higher alcohol levels, and the wine will have a slightly yeasty taste. Other than that bread yeast will work. Wine yeast does not cost that much more than bread yeast (unless you living in a country that does not allow the purchase of wine yeast).

    I drink it when the fermentation slows to a crawl - 2 weeks max. I have no idea why anyone cares if it's clear. Seems silly.

      There no argument that when you are ready to drink it then it's done. However apart from clarity, the longer then wine is aged, the better it tastes to many people.

      I've just looked at his video, and there is little similarity to his mango recipe, and method of making mango wine. His recipe uses grapes and limes, and different amounts of sugar, mine used raisins, lemon, and black tea. He does not boil his fruit to kill off wild yeast, and bacteria. In fact the only similarity between his video and mine is that we are both making mango wine.
