bro how do you stay near the enemy while comboing every time I start hitting them they get knocked back and I can’t reach them, but if I try to dash and then hit them it uses a special
It’s all about spacing. You have to watch how close and far you are for moves to land. The reason you are getting special moves when running tho is because the game stores inputs a bit to help making moves come out easier. To avoid this just slightly delay you attack after running
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen to explain this game to players new to fighting game like me. You do a great job at explaining things, I look forward to seeing what else you’ve got. Subbed.
I am a bit confused because even after watching this, I can only really string together 6 or so move combos. Meanwhile I watch gameplay videos and people are stringing together 15+ moves like its nothing. Maybe you could make a video about juggling and how to add that into your combos?
I know I’m late but and that you’ve probably already done this but I recommend globku’s video that basically explains the same thing but takes it a step further (adds juggling)
Flash cancel should boost you forward. A little like hakuto no ken but less extreme. The way it is now ,it looks useless unless you start with a special then Flash cancel into a regular followed by a special or a super. And that’s if you can even flash cancel specials.
I’m glad this series got a new release. It’s one thing to have characters that are top tier, but I hated in the first how Koichi and Rohan were garbage in the first one, even in a casual setting. Now hopefully they’ll buff any characters that are too weak, and generally keep the game as balanced as possible
Props for being so in depth with your tutorial on this. I just bought this out of boredom lol I pretty much got the gist when u said it was like fighterz but tremendous props overall ill sub too
im noticing that when a combo gets too long, it'll drop im not sure what triggers this but if you could give an explanation of the combo system or whatever is causing this that would be great
Essentially there is a system in place were if the combo is too long they fall out. This is normally implement to prevent things like infinites so you have to figure out and learn the proper combos for your characters to do good damage but not fall out
You can’t do three of the same normal in one combo. For example, if you have a down heavy that sends up and it’s able to combo into itself, you’ll only be able to do it two times. On the third hit, your opponent will fall to the floor. So keep the reps you use a normal use at two. If your character has different modes, like a stand, it’ll count those moves separately. For example, you could potentially do two normal mode standing mediums and two stand mode standing mediums in one combo.

It might be your hitting the heavy button too late. Normally the game forces the opponent to fall out if they are to close to the ground. You need to make sure your hitting the combo while they are still pretty up in the air
I would say if you love the JoJo IP then that would help a lot with you willing to learn the game. Its pretty simple to pick up similar to Dragon Ball FighterZ if you've seen that

When a move input says either +2 or +3 its talking about the amount of attack buttons you have to press at once, for +3 you have to press the light medium and heavy attack buttons all at once (you can also press L1 instead of the attack buttons to use a +3, but for the +2 you need to manually press 2 of the attack buttons at once)
maybe it's just because Im bad at fighting games, but I am finding it difficult to doge and block in this game
also, when reading each character's move set I am not understanding what "+ 2 ATK button" means and I never get the move to work
Yeah, sometimes it feels impossible to block on wakeup but it's so fun.
Two atk buttons so for example you hit square and triangle together and the move comes out
@@cbn739 damn that confused me. It wasn’t clear it was two at same time, not one after another
Dodging and blocking takes sometime. I still get hit myself a bit but it’ll get better overtime. And “+2 Attack buttons” mean hitting like square and triangle at the same time
how can you even press that much buttons
How is online? Only reason why I haven't copped the game yet
Even without rollback, it hasn't been bad for me
Every few matches I'll disconnect BEFORE fighting starts but I've never really lagged.
Can't find quick matches but I'm able to do ranked and invite my friend easily, so it seems better than expected
Online is good when your opponent connection is good. I tend to find more good connections then not. I hope it stays like that for a while too
LIKE JUST HOW DO YOU PRESS SOO MANY BUTTONS AT THE SAME TIME LIKE HOW I CAN'T EVEN USE A SINGLE SKILL 99.99% OF PROBLEMS IS I CAN'T USE A SKILL
How do i sprint on switch?
How do I use a stand barrage
what controller do you use?
I play this on an arcade stick and PlayStation controller. I do both for my personally enjoyment and so I can understand and teach you guys what to do
@@SolessSol yeah im gonna be honest i had to refund the game i was so horrifically bad at it i would def be better if i have a fight stick but i just can’t get the hang of a ps5 controller dpad
@@bucciarati.. you do not need a fight stick for fighting games, if you come back at it, I believe in you.
You can definitely play on a playstation controller. I play it that as well. Fighting games are just a learning curve that takes sometime. If you pick up the game again in the future just give yourself sometime and I'm sure you'll get better!
@@Avataryaya thank you man i just wish i had a xbox controller i hate how the pa controllers dpad isn’t connected
i still do not know how to execute skills at all.
There is no block?
Blocking is holding back
@@SolessSol but when I do the character just walks backwards?
@@LEGOmyEGGOpunk78 Yes walking backwards is tied with blocking. It's using systems like traditional fighting games
is this game worth it on pc cuz ik player base may not be as big
If you have PlayStation I would suggest getting it there. PC would probably be the second biggest player base behind it
@@SolessSol ight thanks ye i made my choice but how do u change ur character online bruh 💀
@@yokay9461 lmao oh there should be an option before going online to pick the character you want to play
like What are the basics you need to learn to produce a , or setup it. Also I need to learn how to add soft notes to a .
Just picked up the game today but might return it I'm getting washed from left to right and still can't do any proper inputs or combos even after watching this 😔
It takes time. You just have to keep practicing and you'll eventually get it down!
@@SolessSol thanks man I'll keep putting in the work 👊🏾
If this helps I was (I'm still lol) trash at this game but once I've played some games with Joseph I was able to win against some players so don't give up!
bro, could you pls write the flashcancel comand down here.
watched it 2 times and still didnt got it.
may im deaf :'D
Flash Cancel is all 3 attack buttons so Weak, Medium, & Heavy. This is also mapped to L2/LT
@@SolessSol Thx :)
why do a combo guide with easy beat on? you can turn it off
I only used easy beat to show auto combos. For the rest of the video I manually inputted everything else
I just don’t know how to flash cancel can someone help or explain
Flash cancel is hitting all 3 of your attack buttons at the same time when you have meter.
@@SolessSol ohhh ok ima test it out In lab any recommendations on how to place fingers or a easy way to hit all 3
@@Deadpcks_ If you go in the control option you can actually set it as one button so that its comfortable for you. I think by default its L2/LT
@@SolessSol dude thank you sm gonna try this all out after work trying to main kira and Jotaro pt4
@@Deadpcks_ Np. I’m also looking at Jotaro pt 4 but I’m been playing Bruno mostly
I knew I was doing something wrong when I realized there wouldn't be enough combo tools without some kinda cancel.
Moving from smash ultimate where characters just cope with their lame ass 3-hit true combos while steves don't even let you move
Funny how the game story is actually better then the actual anime story
No Lmao
How can I change language?
Bruh why do they always make inputs so fricken hard to do?
How do i block tho??
I'd say ASBR is a little closer to Street Fighter, lel
sad risotto and illuso aint here
I'm gonna main funny valentine also it's funny I'm not even American But one move I hate Is The Z input stick move's there just so hard to do
The Z input is actually a bit decieving, instead of the actual Z motion you need to input forward, down, diagonal (➡️⬇️↘️)
