Great seeing more of Tim on the channel. A lot to be learned from him and fun to see you guys give him a hand as well.
More to come!
Great loved it.
It's nice seeing hobbies bring people together.
That's twice in a row that you probably made Tim's day by paying him a visit. He didn't expect the sponsorship and certainly didn't expect to be riding the Sprint that day. You guys are awesome.
Sometimes I forget Craig is an actual motorcycle mechanic. : ) Good job getting that bike running.
Everytime Craig works on anyone's bike now that's not running, he's gonna go straight to the condenser 😂😂
Craig is a good guy
Even if it's an electronic ignition, he's gonna suggest they put a condenser on it lol
it always sucks being up to date with these kinds of builds because I now have to wait for each episode, Loving guys keep up the good work
its the worst
@Captain MufDyven I feel you there, and Ronald finger
You are right. Stopped watching now. Will catch up later down the line.
This channel is truly the home of some of the most awkward high fiving I’ve ever witnessed on the internet. Love you guys 😂
they were so bad, we were both in weird positions. truly awful haha
You guys have the true biker spirit. "Let's get it running, we'll help you", whatever other plans go out the window : ).....
Story of my life whenever I plan anything lol
Again a favourite verse of mine. I love your channel and the help you give. God bless
Watching the rebuild over on WTT’s channel I was amazed at how involved the rebuild was. It’s obvious you found the right guy to rebuild it.
yeah he is the man for sure
@Alfred Wedmore Great perspective! I’ve rebuilt modern engines but points have always intimidated me. Lol. My grandpa would laugh at me right now if he were still with us.
Good luck with this project. Good luck with the race with Matt, you're gonna need it.
i will
Matt's assembly video is freaking awesome! Loved that video!
Man there's really something to be said about these old carb'd bikes. 40 years from now its going to take computers and diagnostic tools to get our current bikes running. It's almost like the end of a really awesome era of old guys and old bikes.
Just watched Matt from WTT throw that engine together. It was awesome It was over before I knew it. Matt really makes it interesting and exciting to watch and listen to.
I think that is so cool that Matt from Wheels Through Time is rebuilding that motor for you I met both him and his dad years ago so cool Museum they have if you haven't been you need to go
I'm always complaining that no one uses B12. Best starter fluid there is. Cleans stuff well too. Grew up using that stuff.
Absolutely love watching Tim. Seems like a knowledgeable and great guy. Good fun watching him and would love to see him race.
Tim is definitely a good addition to the channel !!! Quality guy and knows so much ! When you go to pick up your engine you guys should see if he wants to go with you ! 👌
Highly recommend visiting WTT in Maggie Valley. I spent a whole day there and it wasn't enough. So much to see, it's a great experience.
Craig “I would have went down” haha I’m such a child.
Another amazing video
B&B’s, I checked this out last week. I can’t wait to see this bike when it’s all done. I’ll be praying for success and living vicariously through you!
Very nice guys!
You gained a lot of credibility by sponsoring Tim. Good one Sean.
I love that you guys just offer to help out. No question asked. Just good guys all around. Love to see it. We need more of y’all in the world
southern utah guy here, learned of yall when you got involved with Eds rocon build love you work and the bible verses you share keep up the good work, you guys are awesome
Loved watching this thing come together
Glad your here being a part of it
Can't wait to see it all together painted running , And both guys know their stuff when it comes to bikes love to be able just to watch them work on a bike together
Thanks for the WLA update, wishing there was more. Matt did a great job explaining the engine assembly and the rebuilt motor looks great. Have fun!
This is what it's all about. People helping people. Great content as usual. Really made Tim's week I bet.
Man, I can't wait for this thing to move, it's gonna be so much fun. Good luck for your future endeavours. 👍
You and me both!
that was cool, i felt the joy when she fired up finally and watching the ride was pretty special too... great vid
Tim is awesome love seeing you guys still doing things together! Love how even tho every biker is looking for rare parts and rare bikes. They will still always come together and help 1 another! Awesome!
I had a 61 sprint when I was 16 (1965) First thing I did was break a shifter fork. I split the cases and got that fixed. I ran it till late September when the crank bearing went out. I split the cases again fixed the crankshaft bearing including aligning the crankshaft halves and put it together. While I had it apart I changed cams and did a two angle valve job. Then I had trouble getting the engine to kick start. No problem I had younger brothers to push start me. One time I sat on my brother's hands and dragged him across the yard. I hadn't thought about that for years! Thanks for the memories!
So I bought my most “recent” bike last fall after a 20 years break. (2001 bought 1993 VFR, 2021 bought 2011 R1200RT).
The danger of of watching g your videos is I want to buy an old bike now and bro g it back to life! I look forward to bike prices coming back down to reasonable so I can buy an old one and bring it back!
Thank you for sharing your journeys. I appreciate your realism and the great mix of you and Craig on the channel. It is a great blend of humor, knowledge, and history!
I just caught up on this series and can't wait to see more of the WLA
I initially chose red as the paint colour, but that blue you mentioned last time looks damn good as well
Smart idea to Craig "montage" the assembly...his general, visible, palpable lack of confidence comes through on every build video. We look for the deer in the headlights wide eyed look whenever he does an assembly. Hey, that's what makes u to knuckleheads fun to watch!!!
Subscribed and luv u guys!
Watching the excitement of all three of you made this a really fun video.👍🏼
Tim is awesome!! I’m sure his wealth of knowledge is impressive too.
The smile on everyone's face when it fired up was great, all the best to you all
Unobtanium coined in 1911 during a supercondivity experiment regarding the dificulty obtaining enough material to test superconductivity in mercury at close to absolute zero. this isn't verbatum, but it's close.
Craig learned two new words lately Unobtainium and Condenser
@@kurtfoulke5130 to be fair, unobtainium is a term that is only used regularly in a few professions. Luckily it's pretty self-explanatory.
@@donakahorse No shit ? Well I guess I shouldn't have been using it for the last 50 years !
@@kurtfoulke5130 lol, I'm not excluding anyone, but it's not like it's been in common usage either.
@@donakahorse I've survived a long career in the Aviation/Aerospace world along with an assortment of engineers, military veterans and other nefarious characters who tend to communicate in their own unique language.
If you watch Matt on his wheels through time videos he does a huge thing on that boxer motor Harley Davidson. And I watched the whole video on the assembly of the motor so cool
I saw the engine rebuild video, where Tim puts it back together. His skills are impressive ! I think in real time, it took him less than an hour, while explaining what he was doing. A pleasure to watch !
I think you meant Matt
I love your site. It's really great. And as a Christian I appreciate your messages.. But a question. What's with the sunglasses? This isn't Miami Vice. Smiles…
first of all this IS Miami vice. second of all theres something wrong with my eyes and its causing me to be blink alot because they are super dry and irritated. so i cover that up with sun glasses .
Dude we love the glasses
@@BikesandBeards Cool! Well you look great. And I love your show. Please keep those Bible verses coming. These days, l need all the help I can get. God-bless...
Loving this build guys cant wait to see it finished and thank you for introducing me to the wheels through time channel 😀
As a previous owner of Aermacchi bikes (Ala Verde 250 and Ala D'Oro 350) I can tell you they are 6V. Be very careful kick starting. The ignition is quite advanced at idle and they have a nasty tendency to kick back. I usually bump started mine. The Ala d'Oro did not even have a kick start. Sadly Lintott Engineering of Cranleigh in the UK, who kept a very good stock of Aermacchi parts seem to be no more.
Great job guy's. Can't wait to see it done. U guy's have a good heart and i love watching u do what u love. Keep up the great work and stay safe. God be with u all. Thanks.
Great vid guys, always nice seeing the bike community helping each other out, cant wait to see your WW11 moving.
Us too!
@@BikesandBeards do you know what makes you a great channel, you take the time to read and respond to your watchers, thanks, guys.
You are 100% right, getting an old bike going again is a great feeling. I am always excited when I hear that first breath of life coming back into a motorcycle. Sometimes it's easy and other times it's a real challenge, but the feeling of accomplishment is a natural high.
You and me both!
"You guy's" I also have a fire extinguisher.. totally awesome!....I am way past and beyond loving this....Just outstanding
The guy you had build your motor top notch. watched the whole thing!
he is the man
I love the wholesome content my brother you guys are killing it good job helping the old man.. hell yeah my brother
Awesome content. Love bringing the old bikes back to life. Always learn something new from your videos. Thanks
Absolutely LOVE your spirit! Don't quit. Don't give up. Don't make excuses not to push on. Probably needs a Don't argue in here, & then ride around the block. WINNERS!
That was awesome. So cool that you developed a friendship with that guy. Gotta love the whole motorcycle lifestyle....everyone is usually pretty cool. You guys have an awesome channel and I love watching!
Every time you go visit his little shop its always an interesting trip. Brought a smile to my face seeing that old bike start up.
This is going to be a fantastic ride. Looking forward to seeing that blue and maybe Harley orange (like Gulf livery). Or brown looks good for a team effort. Wheels through time vid great, especially running it in while rebuilding.
You and me both!
Really cool you guys goy Rusty rolling again. Great job! Fun episode!
I think the Colab between ya all is totally Awesome! You went to find info and ended up helping him with his bike too! Great Job.
World Golf village in St. Augustine Florida is sponsoring Wheels through History on 23 April. There you will see quite a few Harley sprints.
Hey from 55 years of experience and an a electrical/electronics degree you are kinda sorta right. A condenser IS a capacitor with a different name and it acts as a storage device which when the points open keeps it from arcing then it discharges thru the coil to ground If you took a "O" scope and looked at the voltage across the coil you would have a kitten, the actual voltage would be quite high. Am used to working with point systems on air cooled engines and older tractors, even work with magneto ignitions a lot. They are sort of indestructible, normally what dies on them is actually the bushings.
That was really cool to see you guys help him get that old school bike running and you're right Sean something about getting something old running again makes you feel good I did watch the video of Wheels through Time put your engine together that was awesome man looks so clean and ready to go can't wait for the race you guys have a great one man thanks for the video, 💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾♥️👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽😎👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
So cool. I love these type of videos. Just a bunch of guys who really enjoy all things motorcycle helping each other out.
Watching that old single run was fun.
Nice to see tim in the video. What an interesting guy look forward to see him again soon hopefully
WTT is awesome!!! Can't wait to see your bike.
I love this channel and watching you two. This is my favorite subscription.
Great Video!! Tim is a lot of fun!
This is really such a cool build. I love it! Looking forward to the race
Absolutely fantastic guys.sending you LOVE and RESPECT from Wales, UK 👍✌..HAPPY NEW YEAR... stay safe, stay warm and stay well...
Tim IS AWESOME! His knowledge is fantastic!
Tim is a beast when it comes to motorcycles. I'm hoping to go up and see him this summer.
I just met Matt today in Maggie Valley. What a genuinely good dude! Willing to stop and talk to everyone......Dale left a legacy and Matt is keeping his memory and history alive.
Way cool. Loved seeing the kid come out in Tim on his 1st ride on that bike. What a great feeling.
Injoy watching you two help the old guy anytime you do good I believe it come back
I hope to grow my beard as superior as Matt's at wheels through time is true inspiration to collect old bikes and keep growing my beard
We're always hearing about how great some of the other bike mechanics are. I'd say Craig is a pretty amazing guy. How about a video that's just about him? It would be nice to hear how he manages to know a little about nearly everything.
I saw you guys using sandpaper to clean points. I still have a little points file I used back in the 1970s, haha. FYI - "condenser" is just another word for capacitor.
Looks like the WLA is going to be a stunner when finished.
I hope that the same amount of detail is going into ED's ROCON.
Love the 350, remember that derivatives of this motor have a fine racing history.
Seeing how this a race bobber, and is not a factory restoration, I would suggest putting a hunt magneto on it. So you do not have to reach down and fool with timing. Its safer and you'll pick up a couple of HP's. God Bless keep the rubber side down.
Oh, I would pay to hear Craig's explanation of how a shuttle Magneto 🧲 operates 😂
this made me smile. Thanks and Blessings,
Matt’s skill and narration are outstanding
Very nice of you guys too fix bike . That was awesome
Happy Easter Shaun and Craig!
Matt’s motorcycle knowledge is unparalleled. So cool you guys are working together!
You got that right!
What a great story, love this content!
Dude this is so cool man .pops got brought back to his time man HELL YEA 👍👍
Funny to see Tim rippin it a little, Can’t wait to see him race.
MY first bike was a 1967 160 Honda scrambler. rode all over the countryside and to school!
Keep making content with Tim. Loving it.
Watching the video, finally saw Sean really provide input into getting it going. Nice job of kick starting it. :D Enjoyed the video.
His right leg provided excellent input 😆
You guys are so cool, amazing to see you with the old guy, that is amazing to see the bike run, nice. Old Rusty. Nice
When that bike started I couldn’t stop smiling!
Nice job boys, Tim was so happy!
Love these types of episodes !!
Cool collaboration ... epic like Holey Goat.
Pure joy when you guys got that old motorcycle running
Got my M1 Motos the other day - they are sweet! cant wait to rock them on my adventure across america!
awesome thats so cool
It’s awesome when you bring something old back to life. Do you have a blessed day.
This was so amazing this video is a life lesson and a favorite. And a great memory for you rusty guys. Brown dog 🐕.
I'm glad I clicked on this one. You made ol' dude's day by tasting that oil. My shop buddy died a couple years back, so I miss hanging around and acting silly while soaking in every ounce of free education I could get. Learned about cars, bikes and life in general.
I love the fact that you guys went to have Tim evaluate your fork, and then all of a sudden, you're helping him get that little Harley running! Good work, guys!✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Convenient wasn't it ?
thats what friends are for
