I visited Gulmarg 2 weeks ago. It was harsh on everyone. Bad weather, ice falling on your head almost felt like rocks, people shivering and rushing to get back down cuz the weather was getting bad by the minute. It almost felt like a refugee camp if i'm being honest. However when i was on the mountain, all those harsh conditions just didn't bother me at all. It's as if the beauty of the surrounding ice peaks, the sun setting and the heavy snowfall just made me feel like i was on another planet. My face and hands were numb due to the cold, but I could feel clarity in my mind and heart in a way that I have never felt before. The whole trip back and forth was really an experience. When we were going back to the cable cars for going back down, there was a huge cluster in the queue. Basically everyone was rushing to get back down as the weather was getting worse and u could just feel the adrenaline around you. The situation was so bad that I even almost got into a fight with this guy who was pushing me from behind the queue. I shoved him back and he almost tripped then the people in charge over there came and stopped us. Anyways what I am trying to say is that i felt Alive the whole time i was there. Yes it wasn't comfortable but one thing I learnt from all the 19 years I have been in this earth is that "seek discomfort". I would advise you all to go and visit Kashmir and Gulmarg. Wonderful video. Reminds me what it's like to be young and explore with an open mind. Kashmir may be safer than Sweden these days, particularly in "no go" zones.
It became unsafe due to India Pakistan.... Otherwise it was a hub of knowledge since the Ancient times (Buddhism, Hinduism,Sufism,Islam) just to name a few..
Life is what you experience. Being raised in Kashmir is one of the best things I have gone through. The beauty of Kashmir lies in its divine nature, heritage, culture, tradition, and mostly among the people.
2:00 Not just J&K, every state in India has different culture. Your perception of "India" holds true only for few north Indian states. Your visit to southern or north eastern states will be an eye opener. This is what we call Unity in Diversity.
What they are trying to say is, Kashmir is more different than Indian states then any other state.. you can go to gujrat dehli maharashtra and u'll find very similar culture atleast from the point of view of a foreigner, but when u step into kashmir it has got a more Persian central asian culture and language sounds the most different then Indian languages almost like a mix of russian and Persian
I have to say you have to visit all of india. You will feel like going into different countries every few hundred kilometres. That's India's beauty. Diversity and unity in one. From kashmir to kanyakumari India is heaven.
No. There is a lot of uniformity throughout most parts of India. When you visit Kashmir, it is indeed like you have stepped into a different country due to not only cultural, ethnic, geographical and religious factors but also due to racial factors. Every single foreigner who travels across India says the same thing.
@@FactFusionU haha...you haven't been to Northeast India or himachal or uttarakhand. People speak different, look different. Only kashmiris are different is not true. India is not binded by a religion, just the constitution.
You have only seen Delhi, and Kashmir. Once you travel India you will know India is about diversity in Language, Look, Cuisine, Culture, religion. Being Indian means living in harmony with all our diversities. Hope you travel more of India.
2:00 If you think Kashmir looks and talks like different country from New Delhi, you got to visit ever north east state, southern state, almost every state people talk different language and has distinct ancient culture, tradition yet are bound by thread of unity in diversity. That's the beauty 🙂.

🙏🏻
You should visit here once in life,
I proud to be living at this place,
You're always welcome
Super neat. This made me 'really' smile after so long. Loved the editing, cinematography, the background score, noise and the calm and most of all your love for skiing was right there. You guys definitely deserve more subscribers, one just got added. This, just makes me wanna try this love of yours once for experience... Skiing.
you make me feel goosebumps. I really wish Dream Trip were open to Argentina, I would definitely apply for it, every year for the rest of my life!
Great film, what a brilliant way to spend your dream trip. And Cody Townsend just seems like an all round good bloke,
I'm from South, and I always dreaming to go North!!! This video got me goosebumps :x
Thanks Salomon TV for promoting my Kashmir 💜❤️
Wonderful video. Reminds me what it's like to be young and explore with an open mind. Kashmir may be safer than Sweden these days, particularly in "no go" zones.
It became unsafe due to India Pakistan.... Otherwise it was a hub of knowledge since the Ancient times (Buddhism, Hinduism,Sufism,Islam) just to name a few..
One day we will have peace. Unfortunately right now kashmir is one of the most dangerous places on earth:/
@@فہدصاحب-ش3ت just because of pakistan
@@Kryuhunhaput because of India. If not for pakistan, indian army would have cleansed kashmiris through genocides like they did to jammu

Amazing film. Haven’t seen a better video showing the Himalayas in a skiing context.
10min of dream. Thanks, go for the routine now haha !
Life is what you experience. Being raised in Kashmir is one of the best things I have gone through.
The beauty of Kashmir lies in its divine nature, heritage, culture, tradition, and mostly among the people.
Thank you so much for visiting.
🙌🏻
2:00 Not just J&K, every state in India has different culture. Your perception of "India" holds true only for few north Indian states.
Your visit to southern or north eastern states will be an eye opener. This is what we call Unity in Diversity.
but exclude Kashmir from your comment... because it's not part of India.
@@alexmartin9225 it's legally a part of INDIA! we really don't care what second class muslims really think
@@alexmartin9225 J&K (including POK) is more of a part of India than you're of your dad.
Central india is almost similar.
Up,bihar,jharkhand,mp,delhi etc
@@FactFusionU haha...you haven't been to Northeast India or himachal or uttarakhand. People speak different, look different. Only kashmiris are different is not true. India is not binded by a religion, just the constitution.
@@FactFusionU they say it for every state
You have only seen Delhi, and Kashmir. Once you travel India you will know India is about diversity in Language, Look, Cuisine, Culture, religion. Being Indian means living in harmony with all our diversities. Hope you travel more of India.

Being a native of Kashmir want to applaud your video and sound touches

@Hitler-bin-Laden the name India is given by British.... So India belongs to British...🙂
The cinematography is just mind blowing!!! Music adds to the overall feel, great work!!!
2:00 If you think Kashmir looks and talks like different country from New Delhi, you got to visit ever north east state, southern state, almost every state people talk different language and has distinct ancient culture, tradition yet are bound by thread of unity in diversity. That's the beauty 🙂.
that aint beauty, thats all what we can call a need for the ppl
The makers of this have no concept of diversity and ethnicity vs. nationality…moronic statement
@@skipper09pepper they know how india looks and how kashmir looks by the aura only, even you indians know that how different kashmir is, even tho himachal mai bhi baraf girti hai
@@tabeen1779 have you asked them for a hand out lately…they definitely know what you look like with a begging bowl
Kashmiris are different... because they are very fair...than you people...They are taller than you people...They have a longer crooked nose...Their beard is different.. Whatever you say...you can't justify that Kashmiris are not Indians..You are a Dravidian race but they are Caucasian...!

2:12 "We stepped into almost a new country"
5:41 wow so peaceful
10 minutes of pure goosebumps! Brilliant!
Storm, snow and ecstatic flow...
skiing or flying?
Then, there was a scene
so serene-
dal-lake to douse the adrenaline,
Peace, prayer, water and
barter on boats.
Between high of ski and
calmness of lake
felt a hint of sadness…
knowledge about decades of
violence and madness
But in this moment
I am captivated by her- Kashmir,
wearing white for the season
what a beauty she is..
innocent smiles-
boatmen and children
beaming, blooming
inviting new dawn,
a fresh morning.
Wow its my kashmir explored beautifully 😍
My favorite part was #5:31
Its a little deep😂
