When another straight guy say that you are handsome, then you are f*ckin handsome!
+K41 105 straight-ish*
+Miko Philo At what point did saying someone looks handsome mean you're attracted to them?

The reason why I like Jimmy Kimmel more than Fallon? He didn't even think about interrupting Chris's story, not once (and it was a long one). And his interest is genuine, you can tell.
ikr
+Sofía Yáñez Jimmy Fallon is just a bad talk show host. I don't think his interruptions are intentional, he's just completely oblivious when it comes to timing. He's constantly stepping on his guest's toes, and he feels the need to over-react to any minor piece of comedy.
He's just not good at his job.
And kimmel doesn't fake laugh. gosh! I can't watch fallon lol
yes omg fallon always interrups his guests
+Sofía Yáñez CONAN FTW! :D
Indian Army patrolling at a height of 5500m on the Siachen Glacier in the Himalayas shows how tough they're... Respect to Indian Army!!! 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
I know I'm Australian and I hear my own accent every day but dat accent+ dat voice makes me feel happy. XD
I agree
+Marvel Mockingly Ikr? It sounds so different than the American accent.
I think It's also his tone of voice and the calm he has while speaking
I'm Aussie, his accent is definatley Australian but he had a deep sounding voice
Big salute to Indian soldiers who guard us in those locations!!!
LOL he went to 4000m and Siachin Is around 5500m in altitude. I'm kind of pissed at the way Jimmy is talking though idk why.

Very charming, knows how to tell a good story, doesn't seem fake. I like this guy :p
+Patrick Moreira typical aussies.
+Patrick Moreira Imagine if Amy Schumer was telling this story!
+Patrick Moreira It is not. It's a famous program here in Spain. Jesús Calleja is the TV host. He is a pro of climbing, adventure etc. Hemsworth was actually invited to the show along with Elsa.
***** The country molds the person. Travel the world and find out before you comment. Aussies tell it like it is, no BS and are very humble people. Chris is a great ambassador for the typical Aussie character.
+Tim S +Tim S Actually I have travelled the world. And am an Australian. Australians are no more humble, bs intolerant, than anyone else. +Dat Guy is right. There is no typical "Aussie character". It does depend on the individual. Hemsworth seems like an OK person. He's not emblematic of whatever positive qualities certain people think are typically Australian. Get over yourself.
i can just listen to him all day
+AlmostEverythingg & More Me do too
To be fair with Thor, taller people are more susceptible to altitude sickness.
@kaustubh Deshpande Not really, it's more about the distance between the Heart and the Brain
@kaustubh Deshpande Is be cause he is so tall the Spanish guy that was with him and Elsa said that
Pablo Díaz Rueda it has little to do with that distance when your heart is capable of pumping at impressive pressures. Larger people have a greater amount and size of vessels, so overall more resistance and higher chance of becoming hypoxic.
I'm 6,2 feet, ~95 kg (210 lbs) and went a lot higher than him. I guess its more about genetics and how much time you take yourself to climb up.
And people with Chronic Illness- I'm short and I suffer at 1000m above sea level.
Indian army regularly patrol on that altitude of himalaya
SALUTE TO THOSE MAN🙏

It's true. Had he been ugly he would've been able to adapt more.
Thanks beautiful
"4000m above sea level", the audience just goes .........
+Jason Lee cause they dont understand what meters is :P
+Jason Lee lol, all u have to do is multiple by 3 for a basic estimate
+Jason Lee its not even very high
+Jason Lee
The rest of the world likes to be condescending about the fact Americans don't use metric, but "5'9" sounds a lot better than "1.8 meters".
+LotusEater that would make sense if the metric system wasn't taught in every school in the US, which it is...nice try though.
You think maybe his reaction to the altitude was related to his body size? I imagine pumping oxygen through such a large frame is pretty taxing once you get up around 4000m?
+Gavin R Yup, it is related to his height. The guy they went with is one of the most famous alpinists here in Spain, he has been in the Everest and climbed a lot of big mountains all over the world and in every continent, and he has said before thousands of times that a proper aclimatation is super important or else you can die up there. Normally it´s fine if you stay a few days in each camp like he said, but tall guys like him tend to have a harder time adjusting because at certain level the body starts forcing to be able to carry oxigen to the whole body and their blood has a longer path to reach the brain. That´s why at the slightest sign of altitude sickness you have to either go down or someone take you down before something worst happens.
+zelda87 Cool, thought that was the case.
;-)
+zelda87
I'm a tall female. Does it also apply to me or I can adapt like an average height male? :D
+Greta M. Probably depends on your build, more muscle = more trouble. If you're tall but slim, yeah, probably more similar to average size man.
I'm Australian too and find it so interesting how thick our accents sound overseas, especially in America!
+Matilda K how would you know how "thick" you accent sounds when you're australian? if you were truly australian you wouldn't know what your accent sounds like
+KING mike that's a very stupid thing to say of course we can tell the difference between what our accent sounds like compared to other ones and I think that is purely based on the fact that everybody in Australia is bought up watching and listening to American TV shows and movies so you actually really can hear a massive difference when watching an American show and then all of the sudden hearing an Aussie voice. Just thought I would say :)
+KING mike Stupidest thing I've heard today! Sure, we may not always consciously think about our own accents, but of course we know what our accents are and can tell the difference!!
+Matilda K someone said to me a while back that australian accent sounds like a drunk english , I though it was funny
+KING mike smh smh. You got em against you, bruh😐
I cnt believe I just found this interview..He was visitng my hometown ladakh and he was staying at a frnds hotel and I managed a personal meet and greet..best day of my life..❤️

Kimmel is a very good talk show host. He seems genuinely interested in his guests, and doesn't need to use fake laughs every 2 minutes, unlike someone we know.
+TheSchoolOfPotatoes YESSS to this comment!!!
+TheSchoolOfPotatoes it is so awkward to watch you know who interview people!!
So is *he* the Voldemort of talk shows
He’s good but I look Conan way more especially his remotes
He did (fake)laugh in this talk though
Himalayas are simply breathtakingly gorgeous ❤️
Okay but why has no one mentioned how his wife is one tough cookie.
I'm watching the spanish show right now. It's a tv show with famous spaniards (actors, singers), and they go to incredible places, doing amazing and sometimes risky things.
And sorry Thor...but your wife was the one who topped the mountain in the Himalayas. She's the superhero of the family
Hello from the country of himalayas; NEPAL!!
Thor can't live up in the mountains.
+Mohamed Farouk He is actually the Huntsman at them moment.
Seems like he is cool i like his accent as well.

I wonder if he gets altitude sickness when he's flying around with that hammer...
Foreseen G. He's flying around and suddenly he forgets his task and starts muttering "what the hell am I doing up here" and starts making daffy-Vader noises
thor flying around, sees a cute deer and bursts into tears because it’s too small and cute.
Wow he actually went through a crazy, horrible experience.
I'm actually really surprised his body didn't acclimate considering the amount of exercises the man does for his roles.
Its all weight training for most part. Had he been conditioning i would have thought he would have fared better
It's also the physical experience he lacks, going by his story. Even if you were conditioned well and physically fit, mother nature has a way of making any mountainous man feel like a flimsy tree branch in the wind.
On his next adventure, he'll fare better.
❤️ 🥰 I’m blown away by your love and support …please may I know where you are from?
I love how energetic is chris here and kimmel paying him attention as if its their personal convo and nt a talk show ..
"loosing my mind" translation - I am the real Norse god
+Dimitar Tonchev It's 'losing' not "loosing". Why are there so many people that can't spell "losing" properly. The sound is a short 'o'.
ReadandWite Ikr
lmfao
HAHAHAH this comment
I just came back from Everest Base Camp. I had no issues with altitude. A couple of team mates did have to be evacuated because of AMS. Diamox helps with the altitude. But, the key to success is acclimatization. And, moving much slower than you normally would.
Qué crack Calleja jajajajaja
I had a similar experience years ago in Nepal when I went trekking with my girlfriend. We were at 4300m altitude, resting up for 2 days in a tiny village straight out of the Stone Ages: a few huts made of rocks... Incredible snow-peaked mountains all around us. I'd done the most arduous 7-day hike of my life to get there. I tried to acclimate, but I felt like I was losing my mind. Like I was in a dream. I was feeling disassociated, couldn't hold a proper conversation with anyone.. I just sat by myself all day, drinking tea and playing Solitaire for hours.. Very weird feeling. It never occurred to me it was the altitude - I thought that only happened to mountain climbers above 8000m. I just thought I'd caught a bug of some sort.
I've been at the 4000 meters altitude in the Himalayas. The difference was I was at the time a 15 year old girl and we slept in tents not huts and we actually trekked our way to that height.
Wow, very lucky they managed to treat him and get him off the mountain. I've heard so many bad stories of people who died of it. They wouldn't agree to be treated and then it was too late :(
Glad Chris is still here with us though!
I love kimmel interview, he listens.. Now that's a gentleman!!
Its because he was born and raised in Australia :) the sea level is way lower here than anywhere else FYI...

@unreal gamz dumbfuck the himalay's is in Both India and nepal.
He probably went to the himalayas of nepal
@The Ripper just see Google earth Himalayas are present on entire junction of Indian Subcontinent and Eurasia plate.
India has major part of Himalayas. See Google Earth u will understand and don't forget to see North East. Don't say something about which u don't know.
How foolish and ignorant u r, there are many people like u who don't know anything and just abuse others thinking they know everything. People of Indian Subcontinent will know better than u where Himalayas are they are not just mountains for us but also it is considered most holy, pure, spiritual and beautiful place on Earth.
The TV program he's talking about is not a travel program but an adventure TV program made by a Spanish adventurer called Jesus Calleja.
They travel around the world, showing other countries' cultures and traditions, and the "adventures" are mere physical activities such as climbing, cycling, hiking and such, so, you could say it's a travel program with some challenging activities in it.
You're making it sound like it's the freaking Hobbits' adventures or something, when the program itself is called Planeta Calleja, for the travelling around the planet... 😑
Traveling offers us lots of great experience than any other thing
I am from Nepal and I live at 3500 m. altitude. So, yeah, that sounds cute!
Nirupam Khanal your body adopt to your inveronment idiot youre people living in himalayas for thousand of years

Thank God he’s still alive today! I couldn’t take not having him as Thor anymore! He’s too beautiful to die young!!! 😍😍😍
I love Chris Hemsworth 😍
As Jesús Calleja said, it's because he is tall.
I studied excise physiology and it is true that it is easier for stronger people to catch the symptoms of altitude sickness at higher sea levels.
that doesnt make sense ... so stronger people would die easier at higher altitude than weaker people ?
more like taller or bigger, no?
Oh so let's just say I'll never have altitude sickness in my life.
Tall people and muscular people are pretty sensitive to heigh illness, + he has stayed almost all his live at sea level. He had all the odds against him.
I dont mean all the tall muscular australian people are that way sensitive, but the chances are higher
It is called HAPE part of AMS

Yes, 4000 meters is a lot for a first timer. I've treked a lot, even though I'm much younger than Chris, and my first time ever was 4310 meters (Nathu La, India). It was not on a trek, but by car, so luckily I was back down to an elevation of 1500 by the end of the day. This left me with not much sickness.
My second time, I landed directly in Leh, Ladakh (3500m) from a sea level elevation, which left me with a lot of sickness that I had to get checked out by the doctor. Luckily, that man knew exactly what he was doing and I was okay by the next day. I assure you, mountain sickness is the worst thing you'll ever experience. You can't eat, you puke everything. You have crippling nausea. Also, contrary to what others might believe, it's not directly related to oxygen. It's related to the lower air pressure which can damage tissue and become serious. You can have perfect spO2 levels and still suffer from it.
Greetings from Singapore! 🇸🇬

one thing i got from this video, I am not going to climb the Himalayas, lots of other great places in the world to go to!!
I have been there.. no problems whatsoever 😁
Chris i feel you man 😁
Woah.
One of the weird things about altitude sickness is who it affects as it might make the biggest, fittest young person really sick but a little old pensioner might be totally fine. It's really a bit random.
Funny how altitude sickness effects different people differently. Everest base camp, which for instance is about 5600M, and you have 70 year olds doing that trek with no issues.
Oh man I watched that episode of the Spanish show (it's called Planeta Calleja) and Chris was acting so weird and unpleasant I totally thought he was just a rude stuck up celeb. Turns out he was gettig really sick, wow. I'm glad he's alright.
