I love how Emily is literally Charlie but born in heaven. It’s wild to me that the majority of heaven don’t even know the exterminations happen. We see Angel dust’s sister during the welcome to heaven song, you can see her when Saint Peter says “Everyone here is hot” you can immediately tell who is Angel’s sister. Vaggie being a former Angel was a theory that I thought was interesting but curious how they were gonna explain it and wow Adam & Flute are even worse. I love that Pentious has a crush on Cherry it’s cute. I like this episode but love episode 5 more.

We saw in episode 1 that Sera was the one who cast Lucifer into hell. So her saying "don't question or you could end up fallen like Lucifer" felt like a thinly veiled threat. But Em is also a seraph, so... I wonder if Em will have to cast Sera down to hell to take control and fix heaven?

I love they didn't go the "Heaven is evil" route. Most of them didn't even know the Exterminations were going on, and Sera, isn't doing it out of hatred, or bloodlust or anything, but out of fear, and is clearly conflicted about the idea.
As for where this goes? I'm hoping it ends with Emily either convincing Sera to change her mind, or in some way getting around her to make this happen, and if they acknowledge that a soul sent to Hell can change and be worthy of heaven, then it means a soul sent to Heaven can change and become unworthy of it.... leading to Adam getting his ass booted to Hell.
"If Hell is for forever than Heaven must be a lie!" Is the BEST line I've ever heard in this show
That entire segment was the best musical moment in the entire show. I keep rewatching it over and over.

Fun Fact: Vaggie actually being a fallen angel makes so much sense now. She loves her GF Charlie but she's mostly been hesitant to support Charlie's dreams and goals. And it's because Vaggie don't want Charlie to get her hopes too high up because this could all possibly fail horribly because she knows how these angles and even hell work! 💔

Now that Charlie knows that Vaggie is an angel, There's no telling what will happen between them next. Because knowing Charlie despite being heartbroken she'll probably try to forgive Vaggie, But Vaggie will probably avoid Charlie thinking that she doesn't deserve her forgiveness but even if Vaggie did do that I would have no doubt that she would still love Charlie.
And Emily instantly became one of my new favorite characters! She's adorable and it's awesome to know that she's on Charlie's side, Which means even though Charlie lives in Hell she now has an ally in Heaven.
an angel and a demon is just the same being after all. so, does it matters at the end?

That line: "if hell is forever, then heaven must be a lie! If angels can do whatever and remain in the sky, the rules are shades of grey when you don't do as you say, when you make the wretched suffer just to kill them again!"
Just might be my favourite moment out of all of these songs so far. Not only cuz it's a reprise of an already banger song, but also how Charlie takes Adam's own words and throws them back into his face, it's so damn satisfying. Especially with Emily siding with her, proving that not every angel is a dick, it's just that heaven as an institution is run by corrupt beings.
I mean are the exterminations even morally wrong they aren’t even targeting hell spawn
@@nethal8506 it's hypocritical of them to deny someone a second chance just because they're already in hell. An (infinite) eternity of suffering is NOT a just punishment for a (finite) lifetime of sin.
@@nethal8506 Given the fact that the angels don't even know what gets someone into heaven they could very well be killing innocent people during these exterminations that are in hell for very petty reasons like stealing a Snickers bar or something. So yes, they would be morally wrong.

Also, there’s a theory floating around (it’s not mine) that the reason we don’t see God is because he doesn’t want to judge/rule over his creation. He’s like Charlie (his Granddaughter) in the sense that he’s a pushover and excessively nice.
My personal theory on God's absence is that he is just SO busy managing earth that he has begun to neglect Heaven as his workload keeps piling up. He doesn't want to leave Heaven to it's own devices, but knows that if he leaves Earth unattended, it all falls apart.
So if we do somehow meet God in this show. I theorize that he'll be an excessively overworked man with mountains of papers on his desk, bags under his eyes and incredibly exhausted.

My idea is just that God is some unknowable energy outside reality, with no form or human-like personality. It just judges.

Emily serving as Charlie’s counterpart in their cause that both Heaven and Hell are nowhere near perfect and that both sides have been lying to each other all along further convinces us that not all is what it seems. Adam’s obnoxious attitude and devious plan in extermination is purely out of dominating over all. No balance whatsoever just because Charlie had a more different approach on having sinners and the damned be spared her way.
And Angel Dust can still be involved in debauchery and be his wisecracking, porn star self, but going out of his way to look out for Niffty? He’s definitely showing moderation in there, proving Charlie’s point when those in Heaven don’t see it.
And the scary thing about Adam is his killings are not the worst part.
Adam is doing the exterminations out of spite and sadistic pleasure.
Purely selfish reasons.
Not angelic at all.
Seems to me like he just wants to spite Lilith for saying no to him.
And that he manipulates Sera into letting him do what he wants by lying.

I lost my MIND at the reveal that the majority of Heaven doesn’t know about the exterminations. I’m SO curious as to what Emily will do now, if she’ll tell everyone or maybe just a few, if she’ll lead a revolution of sorts or go down to Hell herself to stop the Extermination.
So many years of thinking Heaven was evil and corrupt, only to find out that it is, just not in the way we though. Also, that Vaggie reveal was AMAZING
I lost my mind that Sera doesn't even know what gets a soul into Heaven! And SHE'S the one who cast Lucifer into Hell!
More specifically there are corrupt elements within Heaven rather than it being corrupt overall.
I have rewatched that last song so many times. SOOOOOOO epic! Had body chills the entire time. The visuals were on point! Get chills every time I think about that moment showing Sera from Emily's perspective after she learned the truth. When Sera is smiling trying to be comforting but Emily sees the fire reflected in her eyes. She no longer saw the person she cared about. She saw a monster. Entire scene was like that. Epic storytelling through song and visuals. Absolutely epic.
Heaven is going to be in ttouble because of Adam's little outburst. Now that the general population of heaven knows about the exterminations, there's bound to be people talking about it, questioning it and perhaps even objecting to it.
Right , like Molly angels twin sister , I highly doubt she would want to have her bro be killed twice
I feel like we're building up to charlie vs Adam where Charlie finally goes full power because every time they interact, she ends up starting to transform out of rage. I for one can't wait to see it!!! Charlie should be stronger than Adam. From what ive heard, Lucifer was a Seraphim. Just like the seraphim who Adam described as "his manager." And despite being young, Charlie is second only to lucifer in terms of power in Hell
When I was watching this I noticed that the pink and white angel girl in the bg loos EXACTLY like molly (angel dusts sister) and I’m really hoping we get to see them interact

I was one of the people who never picked up on the Theory of Vaggie being an Angel, and Dang I’m glad I didn’t, because that reveal actually got me.
Emily is probably a character I’m looking forward to seeing more of.
She’s got a strong will, of good, and believes in Charlie’s Cause, which Is very sweet of her, considering the views of everyone else up in heaven, including Sera’s own thoughts being a tad of a mystery, but considering she knew about Adam’s exterminations…
Yeah, definitely the lead of Heaven, for sure.
If Emily does end up like Lucifer, then honestly, I am VERY excited to see what they would do for her, especially if it shows more genuine interactions between Her, Charlie, and Vaggie.

I was really hoping for whenever they introduced angels from heaven like Adam, that whenever they would swear/curse it would be censored while ofc the sinners in hell would be uncensored. Thought that would’ve been a nice touch, the same with Vaggie and Lucifer so that it would’ve been a nice little reveal that Vaggie would either prevent herself from swearing or do it in another language
I think the fact that Adam swears nonstop with no repercussions while Charlie swears and gets stared down is even better because it shows how hypocritical those in heaven are.

All it takes is one person to listen, Emily will be a huge benefactor for Charlie and her cause, this episode was so good, the rendition of "Hell is Forever" from Charlie and Emily as a clapback to Adam and heaven was so awesome.

5:27, so basically waterboarding is a form of abuse to make it seem like the person getting waterboarded is drowning by placing a rag on their face and slowy pouring water through it. so it's literally drowning except u don't die/can't breathe and is actually a war crime.

I just realized Nifty is a lot like a child and extremely small so i think she died as a child which is extremely dark.
The only question is what gets a child sent to Hell?
Apparently, she is actually a 22-year-old woman and just really short. The size of the characters really doesn't mean anything especially since we had that giant dinosaur dog overlord and Lucifer is really short.
Adam is one of the best written character in the series after Dust

This is my favourite episode this far. I absolutely love it, and I especially love Emily
I just want to talk about the revelation of Vaggie’s secret and Charlie knowing now. Honestly I think with Vaggies’ secret being revealed to Charlie, I really don’t think she is going to forgive her right away. I know the writers depicted Charlie as an upbeat and outgoing character, but I think it’d be better if she doesn’t forgive Vaggie right away cause it’ll add a lot more depth to her character considering the person she fell in love hid this dark secret from her. I think it’ll add a whole new level to her and Vaggie’s characters and it will make the aftermath of Vaggie’s secret that much heavier and thrilling.
I could see it taking Charlie some time to digest the revelation that Vaggie is a former exterminator. Although with the pacing of this show idk how much of it we’ll see.
I hope they don’t break up and it’s more of Charlie needing some time to think about what she learned and then them having a conversation so Charlie can learn the truth from Vaggies perspective.
I dont think it’ll take long for Charlie to forgive Vaggie with how much Charlie believes in second chances/redemptions. It would be hypocritical if she didn’t forgive Vaggie at some point and I just have a feeling it won’t take her long. Charlie forgave her father quickly for never being close to him
@@dragonfire1466 I mean I’m not saying Charlie won’t forgive Vaggie at some point, but I just the shock of it all and the fact Vaggie hid this secret ever since they first met and never told is more what Charlie needs to digest. Also the reason forgave her father so quick is cause they are family. I’m not saying Charlie won’t forgive Vaggie as quick, but I think since Vaggie is an exterminator it will take Charlie a while to forgive her because keep in mind Charlie’s whole mission has been about redeeming sinners and Vaggie has killed thousands of her people. Plus I’ve seen something like this in other shows. something like this usually goes for at least a few episodes and maybe spill into the next season if we get one.

I noticed in this episode that Angel Dust doesn't really have a gold tooth anymore. There are gold streaks on the side of the tooth but it's not all gold like it usually is. Does that mean that Val made him paint it gold as a way to claim him since Val has a gold tooth too?

It sounds to me that Heaven is afraid, but of what? I mean, Demons and Sinners can't exactly get up to Heaven so is there really a need to worry about them over-throwing them. Sounds to me like they are trying to come up with reasons to maintain control
The overlords of hell seem pretty strong.
I mean, we don't know that. so far lucifer has been the only one that can walk in&out of heaven. what about lilith? or the 7 sins? or the royal goetia family? we've see them travel to earth so who's to say they can't go to heaven? why would they care about hell's overpopulation when they can't overthrow heaven?

@@aldiascholarofthefirstsin1051alastor is the only overlord I feel could help out against the angels and do major damage cause somehow he kills other overlords that are sinners which don’t die unless it’s via an angelic weapon.
If anything the only others I expect to put up a good fight is the other sins but I doubt most of them would make an appearance due to the events of the story only taking place in pride and it would feel random to put them in out of their designated rings
If Vox got over himself and stopped hating alastor I can definitely see all of the overlords helping to fight back but considering the feud between the old overlords and new overlords it’s hard to put a finger on what would happen next
People talk about how Charlie is similar to her father, which is true, but what about how Adam demeans Charlie the same way he demeaned Lilith.
Angel dust say that about the wall because it gets broken all the time XD in the pilot episode and in the series

I’m glad we got Vaggie backstory but I’m sad it came with the cost of Charlie never knowing and finding out in such a bad way 😭 I feel there will be a slight rift between them where Charlie will need time to digest learning that Vaggie is a former exterminator. They also really need to have a proper convo about it. But it would be hypocritical if Charlie didn’t forgive her and with the pacing of this show I’m sure Charlie will forgive Vaggie quickly

I think itll end up being that heaven and hell are relative to what life style you truly desire. Like lets take a place full of book worms would go to heaven but cannibals would go to hell.since they wouldnt mix. Just like husks gambling might not exist in heaven. I believe that also why Adam is in heaven and not hell even though hes an asshole is becuz their wasnt as much to sin about when he was alive compared to a lot of the sinners in the present time.
Heaven is corrupted in the helluvaverse angels are stuck up and egotistical Angel Dust was showing progress but the court didn't approve of it because they don't know.

The angels are pretty much saying that they have the capacity to fall and end up deserving to go to hell but the people (who are so lowly and looked down on by angels) in hell dont have the capacity to change and deserve to be in heaven
I wouldn't say heaven is the BAD guy in this show.
It may be played out like that, and hell it even seems to be that way. Until you remember Adam/heaven is enjoying killing EDP, Hitler, and Joeseph Stalin. Yeah... the people charlie is trying to redeem really aren't the best for the MAJORITY of cases. Angel, Husk, all of them are the EXCEPTIONS... but even the exceptions aren't the best people. It's more morally grey than anything

Before I’ve seen hasbin hotel and helluva boss I always thought about how heaven is probably rigged (if the stories about heaven are real I’m not religious lol)

To be fair, it's not "for nothing." It's heavily implied based on how often he keeps bringing up Lilith that he's motivated by spite over Lilith rejecting him and Lucifer and her both corrupting Eve.
Is it clearly of spite? He's not an ass for no reason. He's like that cause he's egotistical, and no one bothered to tell him his behavior was bad while he was in Eden. Sometimes, he also seems unaware of how bad he actually is. No one really calls him out or confronts him.
He is the clear example of someone who had their behavior enabled their entire life because the people around him thought he had a right to act that way. Everything is does is out of spite, because Lilith and Eve didn’t want to be under him. He view the world as if it is him everything, which is made very clear in multiple dialogues he had. Assholes can be asshole just because, not every dick has a reason to be one

I don't, but historically speaking, entire wars have been fought over people arguing which beliefs everyone else should follow on their orders, so... if you want to fight, we can. I'd prefer to remain civil, though, on the understanding that different people hold different beliefs, and for ideas with no empirical evidence, getting upset that someone else doesn't believe the same things is immature and arrogant.
