When he panic blocked the first kick, I lol'd pretty hard, but I do the same thing every time.

Man, I wish they add a practice mode like in Fighting Games where you can make a bot loop certain attacks

the way you are able to change to an analytical playstyle is insane.

The other problem with panic blocking is that it's "taught" by playing in TO much of the time, as the server performance scales poorly with playercount.
It's much easier not to panic block if you play regularly on 40 player and below 40 ping, as that's around the threshold where windups become properly reactable short of katar counters, otherwise you have to break the panic blocking conditioning when you rarely end up on good servers or play in low count environments such as LTS.
In 64p TO you simply have to take the chance that you get kicked because the frequency with which you get kicked(even by good players) is far lower than the frequency of netcode abnormalities resulting in unreactable block hits.

One thing I've found that works is attack, attack cancel and kick for those that panic block. It's nasty but it works.

Honestly even after month of playing this game im still find myself in Situations were i just hold the Block Button after a blocked attack instead of doing it at the perfect timing which always not only cost more stamina then necessary and pretty much just invits the enemy to kick me out of it

Yep thats how to do it. Force yourself brave man. I'm now trying to stop blocking after a jab because clearly some really really like their jab into kick execution button.

What is the way to go if I want to have a 1 on 1 with a friend? Do I just need to join an empty duel server with them, or can I make a private game?

    • @SoterDave
