- A new Burning event will start in about a week from when this video goes live! On the 12th of June in MapleStory Global! So it’s time to face your biggest challenge yet, which class should you hyper burn? And why is everyone picking Blaster?
Some general burning information. You can only start hyper burning on either newly created characters, or characters that already level 200 and higher. Not level 1, not level 141 but newly created or level 200 plus. Hyper burning will go up to level 260 which drops you right off where your 6th job advancement begins.
Generally speaking there are a few reasons why people hyper burn some classes. It's either for their level 250 legion effect, to use as bossing mules, or to create as mains. I’ll cover all 3 types of classes while looking at their benefits and upcoming changes in the Go West update, formally known as the Dreamer update.

Highly recommend Battle Mage as someone who mains it. Good solo bossing, great party utility, and brain-dead mobbing after advancing to 5th job.

@@yin9121 that's an amazing change honestly. It's always been one of my visually favorite classes. (It's like a mini Black Mage in 5th job lol)
Aran is definitely my favorite class to main. Been maining mine ever since the class was first released.

How do you like the visual changes for the remaster?
I Hypered a IL Mage in the last Hyper event... It is great against mobs but Solo Bossing requires a lot of bursting and SFing. I only recommend it for training, Ursus and MPE but if you are looking for a Boss mule, I would go with another class. =3
I’m thinking of Hayato. Iove the aesthetic of that class and hoping it will be a good challenge to learn.
I'm going to burn Hero... again. This time with a different mindset. After weeks of event mini game Dungeon Blast, I still love the idea of a character holding a big sword and whack monster with it.
sadly hero bis weapon type is greataxe, try dawn warrior if you want a 2handed sword

@@VuPham-xg1jc 2handed axe gives 5% more damage and depends on servers. On regs its kinda w.e but on reboot its kinda dumb to go 1 hand and shield
I still don't know. I got so many classes to 200 and they all have hairs that have not been in rotation for more than a year...
the burning is also when the Lucid event is there, right?

Plan to recreate my old server main, pathfinder in Kronos initially, but decided to create wind archer now, see you next hyperburn my beloved pathfinder
I used to main Kaiser in reg and I just tera burned him to 200, so it might be his time for 260.
I been slacking off these pass few days, but I am going try hyper burn angelic buster, I have alot of nostalgic memories with her long side with kaiser, not sure she would be my main tho lol

It is ping reliant imo, tried to convert to maining it from my WA, but the triggers taking their sweet response time cuz I have high ping put me off

Only managed to get my Cannoneer to 248 last hyper burning so I'm going to make sure I get 6th job this time (as much as I'd love to build my Illium or Mihile more)
I can highly recommend Wind Archer. I could solo CRA with mine immediately after unlocking 5th job at level 200 with 0 funding with previous burning. It's by far the earliest I've been able to solo Chaos Vellum with any burning character. Note that I don't know how they perform at higher levels as mine is basically at normal Lotus and Damien in terms of progress currently, but it feels quite strong.
what damage skin is your Aran using ?
A quick question. If I have lvl 203 character and I want to burn it. Should I open newly character to get lvl 200 reward or it is not a must?
If you've been doing dailies on it then dont bother as you only lose the lvl 200 reward. If it's a 203 with barely any progress on it then I'd suggest just making a new char

I started fresh on hyperion but i dont know who i want to main. Either dk cause that was my first main, il wiz cause that was also my first main that i gave up on, or shadower cause thats the class i always secretly wanted to be back then. Or thunder break cause they look fun
I already got a dawn warrior around 172. Had it for cygnus link. I can only burn it at 200? What about the rewards from before? Gone?
Apparently, there’s going to be an event where you can level your character to 200 in 10-15 minutes. They did it during/after the last hyper burning event. I could be wrong so fact check me
Made a Lynn last one, but I got to say it's one of the best all rounded characters I've played.
If i got to burn then I would pick Angelic Burster, since she's getting remastered
I got 1 extra slot so i might recycle my AB into the Tera hyper burning 1 which a new name is a given.

Also a point that should be made for hyperburning, in my opinion, is that you should focus more on bossing. Hyperburning implies you'll get it to 260, which most likely means 6th job, and starting next update, 6th job means sol janus. Every class will now become lazy farmers thanks to this skill, so now there's value in looking at how a class bosses over how it mobs.
I initially regretted Burning my paladin, but im so glad I burn itttttt!!

I main NW, and have since well before it was good. I'll probably either hyper an aran, a dawn warrior, or a wind archer.

Hyper Burning a MarksMan as I love the class, will be a new bossing Mule/Main. Will be 9k Legion in about 20 levels.

As someone who just returned with nothing, what would you recommend as a good main, or even just a bossing mule. Currently have a 223 Bucc. Been debating on maining a Bishop
@@OhNoItsPoko Bucc is a solid class for a main, I think Bishop needs some funding and high legion (6k+) to be decent. And teleport classes also suck besides BM
@@OhNoItsPoko Bishop is definitely up there. It would be a good class to Hyper Burn if you're returning. You'd be able to get into the high tier bosses with ease.
im kinda crap at the game and prefer distance so.... idk maybe wind archer cuz the further i am from boss dmg/killing me, the happier i am lol
In my experience wind archer can make for some very easy bossing, for certain bosses at least, but last I played it it lacked very much in burst (clown is the cra boss that took me the most gear upgrades to solo due to the split, with queen's fire giving me some survivability issues), though I'm pretty sure it got better since then. Bosses that have a lot of vertical mobility can be annoying since your main bossing skill, song of heaven, has a very narrow horizontal hit box, like all hurricane type skills. The hurricane skill also means you have little use for attack speed, which makes mp green potion and decent speed infusion not a real concern.
Mobility is great, mobbing not top tier, definitely not farming mule material.
@coppersan as a fellow dutchy, how do you deal with the restrictions placed on accounts playing from within the Netherlands? (I play on GMS, my account predates the existence of EMS)
I recently got back into the game and have been really demotivated by said restrictions, I feel like I'm playing a sandbox game, it's crazy that even mesos is entirely restricted
As someone from the Netherlands, just play on heroic servers. Playing on interactive basically means you're playing heroic on hard mode
@@scytha_ Right.. I've spent probably around 8 years over time playing this game, I don't want to throw everything away the way Nexon is almost forcing me to. I might try a VPN to bypass their shitty version of compliance with a law that is meant to protect players, not screw them over.

You get frozen gear, root abyss temp gear, and burning title. But if you’re 221, you don’t get the 200-220 rewards, so you’ll miss out on stuff like the absolab weapon
Question! My night lord is 220 will I get all the rewards from earlier levels if I decide to hyper burn it to 260?

You’ll only get the rewards like frozen and cra gear. You won’t get the absolab weapon or the nodes from 200-230

Mags can still give a decent chunk for its level at 260 if you dont care about a different character, as long as they last till you finish.
Depending on what you want from your hyperburn (new main or boss mule), the mag pots are still hugely valuable
It's close to 60% XP per pot at 259 from memory
I'm thinking Dawn Warrior but I already have a Hero with 10mil range so not sure if it's worth the investment...

I burned a Cannoneer last hyper burn event....yeah that class isn't worth a hyper in my opinion. Ice Lightning mage needs a lot of nodes and you should have probably mentioned that. Idk how many the event gives out but it really needs a ton lol.
ironically i think cannoneer is getting a massive buff, so that burn might pay off!!
Oh, one thing to add! Now is a good time to stock up on any of the tradable cash items and maple gear sets like Maple Saint, Pearl and treasure sets. Including some of the various maple weapons and shields. If you want some free gear at levels 30, 100 and 110+ now is a good time to spends those mayple leaves. And yes, the cash item coupons can be traded also to other characters also. So if you’re going to make a new burning character start stocking up on items based on what class you wish to train next. I am even doing a pure beginner character that just uses maple swords and shield. Reliving the nostalgic days of being pure beginner.

Hi, I'm new player of this game. I started like a week ago and made to 170 shadower but I want to try something with better mobbing. Before I made shadower I was thinking about Night Walker or Night Lord. Do you recommend it? Or do you have some other recommendation?
Make a character that doesn’t need a lot of funding! It will make your progress and maple journey much easier
NW and NL are really strong. NWs use bite farming which is really brain dead. You just sit there and press a button and your bats will just bounce around killing all the mobs. You do need some nodes/funding for it to deal more damage, but the event will help you out a lot.

@@n4SuuDW needs less funding and is basically a 1 button class so yes, technically more comfortable.
Honestly all my characters are past the point of it being worth hyper burning sadly. So AB it is!
as someone who mains a DW, claiming that the class has zero cons is actually crazy. To begin with the class is ping reliant so players who don't get good ping straight up cannot play the class. Another issue that DW has is that its burst is VERY long, at best in party play, half of your burst is going to be outside of a bind/ror/wj which is really bad since wj and ror only last 15s and 20s if you have ror5 or wj5. Which means that in party play your dps when bursting is going to be much worse than condensed burst classes. In addition, DW's burst is also backloaded, meaning that if you want to frontload your burst in a party, you are going to be sacrificing some damage. And even if you pre prep your goddess blessing to not be AS badly backloaded, you still miss out on the duration of sun if you are bursting in a party. IN ADDITION, DW has one of the worst origins in the game. It goes directly against how you would burst normally. And does peanuts for damage. It's unironically either as bad as NL's origin or worse than NL's origin before NL got their origin buffed in dreamer. There was several levels in which I stopped using my origin because it made my burst do less damage than my normal burst.

sometime i think nexon deliberately give class like hero, dual blade, night lord sh*tty upjump just to prevent player from liking the class too much tbh :( i love dual blade but it's up jump get on my nerves everytime i login :V :V oh and wtf with Lala up jump :V ? why is a "reverse" up jump from the rest ?
THIS!! its what keeps me from playing NL or DB, i stopped both at 200. its so annoying. I know they have a skill that moves them up but its super clunky, they need a regular double up jump

The real question is which server to hyper burn? Hyper burn in interactive or heroic? 😂 I main in Hyperion currently but nexon says they will merge interactive servers. Would be cool getting the old maple vibe
ya gotta burn on the burning world event for characters in the interactive servers so its more about whether you really want to switch there or not

Hyper burning doesn't require low nodes- you get all spots anyway

How about fire/poison?
They're a solid class but require a decent amount of investment to really start popping off.
Attack speed inner, needs as much buff duration as possible, and ideally has a -4s cd hat. Also has low crit rate so you gotta work that in with links and legions plus event buffs.
I burned one last year on Hyperion as my return to the game character and apart from not being very good at bossing, it took me till like 250+ to start feeling like I could kill bosses, but now its like 5 second czak and all of cra is fairly quick too.
I should also add that depending on the map, mobbing is just standing in one spot and rotating hypers and 5th job skills while occasionally moving to place erda shower and collect loot.
Anyone know if you get the burning reward if you start burning at that level?
My Merc is currently lvl 224, and I'm hesitant to level it up if it just means I'll lose out on the lvl 225 reward!
if you stay at 224 and level up, you will get the 225 rewards. The only ones you miss are the ones at a level lower than what you are at already.

yeah i don't know what people keep going on about with dawn warrior. I felt mediocre vs some other classes i burned in the past. Very boring to grind on too.

I cannot for the life of me decide a sick class in Hayato or a God Tank class with Paladin. Played both to 200. Love katanas, but also want to be unkillble. Problems of a mapler lol

Someone explain me the difference between dps and dpm, Hpw come its different if one is dmg per sec and the other is dmg per minute?
its more terminology than anything. DPS refers to bursty classes examples being night lord or night walker. And DPM refer to classes that do consistent damage over time. One does a huge chunk in one go and the other does it over a full rotation.

I personally think BM is better in terms of difficulty and funding. But if you do have funding, nightlord has really high damage
NL is a very hard/poor solo bosser until you get enough damage to kill in 2ish burst windows, or you got hands. lazy grinding and feeks nice tho
What must I have been doing wrong that makes NW absolute dog for me for mobbing? I couldnt even handle how bad clearing MP with it was! If you'd said it was 'okay' it wouldn't have stood out so much but saying it's particularly GOOD at mobbing... what gives?
Are you using bats? If so which ones? There's bossing bats and mobbing bats. also the best way to mob as a NW early on is actually using quint throw and depending on bats. They also kinda need some funding to get their feet under them and consistently 1 shot. The hyper event would definitely give you said funding. Almost all of my NWs gear came from the last hyper event and I can clear Cvell with it easily

"bishop soloing is not it" meanwhile the top 100 fastest extreme lotus clears in korea had 8 or 9 bishops, every other class had 3 or less
KMS has completely different balancing. Also this video is geared towarda GMS/Reboot where solo bossing on bishop feels super lacking compared to most other classes

@@SephirothXpwns except bishop is MUCH stronger in GMS than it is in KMS because they benefit a lot from AS0. Solo bossing on bishop is very good, and the downplay on it from the community is actually insane. It's probably stronger than f/p in terms of solo bossing when class diff actually matters for solo bossing. Namely when you start soloing hard bosses.

@@impact7136 With 48 classes to choose i see why people would disagree but the data is there for a reason, my main rn is wind archer, i love wind archer in general but as much as it hurts its not even in top 10 most dps/dpm classes in game, most likely 42th from 48.
i think because dps/dpm isnt a great way to judge a classes damage when later game is very burst oriented
