    Question One:
    My favorite Willem Dafoe films are The Lighthouse, Super insane role he played here. Was surprised to even see him do things like that. Such a wild role to play and he killed it. Another one is most certainly going to have to be Daybreakers. Holy shit was that movie good and it makes me really disappointed to not hear many talk about that movie. His role in that was also chilling. Love that film so much. Then last but not least Spider-Man as Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin. As you know Spider-Man is extremely close to my heart and I believe I have chosen this movie many times. But there is a reason. Willem Dafoe just so happens to be that reason and it is incredible he was able to do that role. I remember being so mesmerized by the Green Goblin persona and Willem Dafoe to this day is just perfect to me and he playing the villain again in No way Home. Genuinely made me cry. Was so happy to see my childhood villain back. Such an amazing actor with such great talent. The man just doesn't get enough credit in my opinion.
    Question Two:
    My favorite 80s crime film will go to Fletch. Watched for the first time this year and loved it. Chevy Chase was magnificent as Fletch. I plan on watching Fletch Lives soon as I just bought it on digital and really can't wait because Fletch was truly too much fun and cannot get enough of the character!
    Thank you for the chance man! You always rule!
    Good luck everyone!

    • @LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia
      @LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia  10 месяцев назад +1

      I love all your answers buddy! Fletch is one of my favorite 80s comedy and Unfortunately Fletch Lives isn’t that great but you might love it! The Lighthouse would be my choice also. It’s such a unique character with Layers and you never know what he’s thinking. The bits of comedy truly add to his character. I don’t know why people don’t talk about Daybreakers. It got forgotten for some reason. The Green Goblin would be my number two just because when he brought it back in No Way home the Character was truly a Tragedy and not just a villain.

    • @fallen_fiendish_angel
      @fallen_fiendish_angel 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia Daybreakers was freaky as hell man. I couldn't believe how dark that film was and the colors that added to the film gave it such an eerie vibe. One of my favorite horrors now. The characters were nuts man. Ethan Hawke and Willem Dafoe was wild in that one. Even though I watched it a few months ago I kinda feel I could watch it again. Love the vibe it gave off. The whole have to keep the population alive as the creatures. Just fantastic.

      @@LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia i tend to agree w/the lines. I think LAs script is near perfection to me but I also read that Friedkin allowed a lotta improv which is why some lines seem kinda sketch. Not to mention some of the odd ADR here & there. I know Peterson is Gil Grissom but I can't not think of LA and the impression he made on me. He mightve OVERSOLD archetype of the agent with the Main Character syndrome which is why it works for me. Aviators, leather jacket, airport windsprints, banging INFORMANTS, etc. Which is why the ending is so effective. Cuz while its a stylized movie but it damn sure aint a sentimental one. NO character's fate is sealed w/slow motion or melodrama. 😂 Ok I'm subbed now

      @LetsTalkEntertainmentMedia  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you I appreciate it. Your right he has an Archetype and I do like his character because I love the story and plot of this movie. Showing the thin line between cop and Criminal. When you became obsessed and start floating the line and then overstep you get what happens at the end. William Friedkin nailed this movie and one think I didn’t bring up were the brutal effects which he used all the way in French Connection and in Cruising. Hopefully more people find this movie.

      Also, there’s a reason Hackman has won two academy awards

      Hackman is great at playing those everyman types. Even when he’s in a position of power you relate to him. In Mississippi burning Willem Dafoe may sympathize but he’s an outsider while Gene is more of a working class guy who understands the thinking there. Hell he’s always wearing those short sleeve shirts and kind of does that semi formal look while everyone else is in suits.

    William Dafoe as Green Goblin is my favorite. I liked his performance most in Spider-Man: No Way Home

      That’s what Cemented the role for me. He added so much more depth to the character in No way Home.

    Platoon is still my favorite war film and probably top 10 all time for me and Dafoe is a big reason for that. One of his best performances for sure. And Blow Out is an underrated 80’s gem.

      Blow out is one of the best! I still think it’s De palmas best film. I agree about a platoon, It’s one of my top 5 favorite war films and Dafoe is great in it and his death scene is iconic!

    Looking at the list of Dafoe films just let’s me know that I need to watch more films from him. Based off of what I’ve seen I’ll go with his performance in the Spiderman films as Green Goblin. It’s spanned over multiples films, and he’s done a great job.
    Favorite 80’s crime film is Next of Kin. It’s a great film with a lot of notable actors and Swayze as the lead.

      He’s great in that role! I love that he got to play it again in No way home and add depth to the character. I need rewatch Next of Kin. I haven’t seen that in a while but It is a Swayze Classic.

      I'll tell you another one I just saw that was difficult to find was Togo. Based on true events about a sled dog his performance was pretty good and the movie was fantastic. Some of the scenes were a bit exaggerated but the effects were very well done throughout. If you love Willem Dafoe I highly recommend finding that movie and watching it.

      That’s one I have to check out. Willem never phones it in. she seems to know what gear to bring to the movie he’s in.

    7.5 rating for a 4k is not good. For 4k its no lower than a 9.

      I agree. I think less then an 8 means wait for a sale unless you love the movie, 5 or under just avoid it unless you are desperate.
