    I just signed a contract to get Vodafonebroadband and I was looking for the router specs.
    Thank you for this video. It seems the router is kind of basic but OK. I have a more advanced ASUS router wich is 6 years old but still has more advanced features.

    Thank you for taking the time for this video. I have a question please. The WiFi schedule seems to not work very well on my friends Vodafone. My friends kid has also worked out they can just download the app and sign in as a guest. Due to them using an apple phone I can not hide the password from them. Long story, but impossible to control their access with the WiFi schedule. The question is please, can I with this Vodafone router set a schedule so the whole router switches off? Obviously then they will not have the password for the router admin as this clears every time you close the webpage which is not stored in the kids phone anyway. In your vid it shows the WiFi schedule but not the router schedule. On my sky router you can schedule the router. Unfortunately they live quite a way away and I can't just pop around there to check. Any help will be massively massively appreciated.

    Hi, i have a company called EDC renewables we fit solar. We are fitting solar and battery installation for a customer who has this system. The wifi dongle for the battery will not connect to the wifi. I am thinking that section 10.35 needs to be enabled for the dongle to connect with the router, Do you think this is correct?

    • @EclipseReviews
      @EclipseReviews  Год назад

      10:35 refers to the backup WiFi 4G dongle can only work when plugged into the side USB port on the router (you have to remove the black plastic cover). This is a backup 4G just in case you internet goes down, you should not need to change any setting within the router. FYI - the USB 4G dongle will not work when plugged in to another device. If you device is unable to connect to the Vodafone WiFi then it may be to far away as it will disconnect devices if there are to far away or the signal is too weak, so a wifi extender may be required.

    Hi. Watched the video which was very good. I am having an issue which I'm guessing requires a setting changing. I have setup the jellyfin media server on my second pc. It works fine locally but I cannot get it to connect remotely. I have emby on the main pc and that connects both locally and remotely. It has made entries in the ipv4 section for both pc ip addresses but jellyfin will not connect remotely. I looked at ipv6 it let's me put the port number and service in but not the device name and then says need device name. I cannot see it is a limit of the router as it works for emby but cannot resolve the remote access issue in jellyfin. Any thoughts

    Anytime I change my dns I feel like I my bro use gets a injection type rerouting virus. I forget the proper name for it. But it eventually comes to the point where when I search for something it comes back in Chinese or a completely unrelated result. Then a typical reinstall of windows and default the router brings things back to normal.
    In short , changing my dns either on the router or a individual pc never ends up prosperous.
    VPNs dns is a different story mostly positive ..
    Just my 2 cents

      @@francoishugo1 hello, I ended up getting a 3 pod TP link mesh system which works perfectly, only cost £100 on Amazon which sounds a lot but now when I change providers in the future I won't need to repair all the WiFi stuff. It's super easy to set up and you just plug it into the ethernet port of the Vodafone router. You also need to go into the Vodafone router app and turn it's WiFi signal off so it doesn't interfere with the TP mesh WiFi. I've got full fibre and an sometimes getting over 620 Mbps. I also changed the main ethernet cable between the Vodafone and TP mesh for a CAT 8 Ethernet cable which helped the speeds
