The Devastating Impact of Kakistocracy, Dictatorship, Nepotism, Racism, and Religious Division on Our Country
      Introduction:
In our country, we find ourselves grappling with a myriad of challenges that have left our nation in a state of ruin. The destructive forces of kakistocracy, dictatorship, nepotism, racism, and religious division have converged to erode the very foundations of our society. The consequences are dire, with the current de facto president, who lacked a people's mandate and failed repeatedly as a prime minister, embodying the culmination of these destructive elements. Moreover, the absence of law and order for the powerful, rampant corruption, cheating, and thuggery, coupled with the prominence of racial and religious tensions, have accelerated our country's downfall.
      Kakistocracy, Dictatorship, and Nepotism:
Kakistocracy, a system where the least qualified individuals hold positions of power, has dealt a severe blow to our nation. The perpetuation of this system, alongside dictatorship and nepotism, has hindered progress and impeded competent governance. The elevation of an individual who failed six times as prime minister to the position of de facto president only epitomizes the disregard for meritocracy and democratic principles. It is a stark reminder that those in power prioritize personal relationships over the welfare of the nation.
      Lack of Law and Order:
One of the most glaring disparities within our society lies in the application of law and order. The powerful and influential, often referred to as the "big fish," enjoy impunity for their actions, creating an environment conducive to corruption and malfeasance. Meanwhile, the "small fish," ordinary citizens who lack political connections, bear the brunt of an unjust justice system. This unequal treatment further perpetuates societal divisions and a sense of injustice.
      Corruption, Cheating, and Thuggery:
Corruption, cheating, and thuggery have become endemic in our country, exacerbating its decline. The unchecked prevalence of these vices has eroded public trust in institutions, siphoned resources away from development, and hindered social and economic progress. Corruption, in particular, has seeped into the very fabric of our society, permeating all levels of governance and public life.
The Role of Racism and Religious Division:
Another major factor contributing to our country's downfall is the presence of racism and religious division. These divisive forces have fueled animosity among different ethnic and religious groups, tearing at the social fabric that should bind us together. The exploitation of these divisions by opportunistic individuals seeking to consolidate power and maintain their grip on authority has deepened the fractures within our society.
      Conclusion:
Our country stands at a precipice, its future hanging in the balance. The destructive influences of kakistocracy, dictatorship, nepotism, racism, and religious division have brought us to this dire state. Urgent action is needed to dismantle these detrimental systems and foster a society based on merit, equality, and justice. Strengthening the rule of law, promoting transparency, and fostering a culture of accountability are vital steps toward restoring faith in our institutions. Similarly, addressing racism and religious divisions through inclusive policies and dialogue is essential for healing the wounds that threaten our national unity.
The road to recovery will not be easy, but as citizens, we must strive to build a society free from the shackles of corruption, oppression, and division. Together, we can overcome these challenges and reclaim the greatness of our nation, uniting under the principles of justice, equality, and shared prosperity.

Sri Lanka has for 1000’s of years been neutral in its politics. Let it be India or China, we’ve welcomed all. That has been the default stance, albeit the politics shifting slightly in favor of Beijing during the Rajapaksa regime. So neutrality is not a downgrade. It’s us going back to default.
You’ve also shown footage of ques in Sri Lanka. We don’t have ques anymore. There’s 24/7 electricity, food sufficiency, energy sufficiency and fuel sufficiency as we speak. Inflation is down to almost 12% as we speak, and Sri Lankans are very much back on track. Please don’t share such footage from a year or more ago anymore.

Yes you do not have QUEUES any more thanks to you not repaying the debts, the mountain of utterly unsustainable debts(over USD 60 billion ) that your RW alone stacked up during his term as PM(he spent 6 terms( > 30 years) as PM and he was part of the borrowing from IMF for 17 times, did you lose that sight ? ). If India did not come to rescue you will still be having those long QUEUES, so say thank you to INDIA(not to RW) as no other country was willing to bail out the corruption driven economic collapse in Sri Lanka that RANIL is part of and a culprit of. Ranil now cannot borrow as he wishes and put the country at further risk as IMF will not let that happen with all the conditions IMF has imposed. If Ranil was any good he had more than 45 years ( that is how long he was rotten in Politics of SL) of his life to put SL on a good economic path. Having failed for 45 years, what miracles do you expect Ranil to perform in his last stages of his life ?? Lot of nothing!

One reason for the downfall of SL is the reluctance of people to pay tax. Most SME sector business owners in SL try everything under the sun to avoid paying tax and a country cannot function in such a way.
Furthermore people do not have faith in the governments they willingly elect to mange taxes efficiently. It’s laughable. Imagine appointing a bunch of politicians to form a government and then the same people who elect the government think the tax money paid will be mismanaged and stolen 😂
A fair and realistic tax regime should have been initiated possibly around 2010 in SL but it never materialised. Right now people are struggling left and right and having to face a stiff tax regime on top of that is beyond hard. However SL people happily voted for Gotabaya who promised to cut taxes in the most unrealistic manner 😂
Long story short it looks like people in SL are happy to receive freebies and pull the begging bowl without realising money is always scarce.

Based on the comments and my understanding first of all Sri Lanka in this situation due to the combination of Bad Politics + Bad Investments + Geo Politics (SL got caught in-between the trade war of India and China). India and China never going to donate billions without expecting any return, but this never understood by our stupid politicians and kept on collecting all the loans possible when it was offered without considering the consequences. Then they went and invested most of them in white elephants without a proper feasibility studies. I have a personal experience that they were checking how the Mattala Airport can be beneficial for Sri Lankan Economy only on the day of opening and not before the project kick off.
So then Govt wanted to show ppl magic and showing off doing this and that without accounting the return and without a plan for repayment. End of the day all these politicians earned for generations and all other citizens facing the music. He always placed his political interests above national interests. Until we get to grips with these rouge politicians we won’t ever be elevated as a country. Ranil at best will only do a handful of adjustments to keep going and make sure his comfort zone is not disrupted.
Bottom line is if we don’t take measures to completely overhaul things and come up with a viable plan to increase production and foreign revenues we will be screwed. Loans and more loans have been the mantra so far and Ranil will only be capable of more of that.

In the mainstream Sri Lanka media, the "China Factor" is not highlighted as Ms.Sharma does.
    We can imagine a 'plot' as follows;
Before 2019, the country showed some gaining economy, after people defeted corrupt Rajapakshas out of rulling in an election. Not to mention how friendly the Rajapakshas were with China, China lended lavishly to Rajapakshas (on account of the country), much had gone into their pockets, the people didn't like it, so they defeated them in the election. So we can think China was not happy about this at all. In the meantime, the American project 'MCC' is about to be implemented in the country. That would upset China still further. So what do you think Chinese option would've been? That is to bring the Rajapakshas back into power. And we know concerning the Chinese "Belt Road Inintiative", Sri Lanka's geographical location plays a major role in it. So they need their friends, Rajapakshas back in power. And later we know, Rajapakshas gained power and carried on but the people again hated them and chased away G.Rajapaksha- president, and PM, M.Rajapaksha. But why don't we think how they got again into power after they were defeated in 2018 election, That's the rusult of the Easter Sunday attack on 21st April 2019, and upto the present day, the master-mind is unknown.
And finally, can't we suspect China master-minded the attack in order to bring their friends back into power, in order to keep Sri Lanka locked in their trap. ?

For this sole purpose he gave, after coaxing Chandrika Bandaranaike through her brother (now no more Mr Anura), got hold of SLFP party reign, and in a short period managed to chase Chandrika and gained control, put 3 of his brothers to take control of the all 3 Forces and defeated LTTE with the help of India & 20 other countries and brought Srilanka under his control for 20 odd years, amassed enough wealth for himself & his family sufficient for another 100 or more years, but left the country PENNILESS by borrowings from China, against selling South extreme Area comprising around quarter the size of Srilanka called Hambantota built an International Airport Harbour etc., gave enough space of land just in front of Colombo Old Parliament building so China Reclaimed a huge Junk of Colombo port area and China built a Little CHINA in the City exclusively in the Sea. So for another 100 or more years Srilanka will be partly owned by China for which I intrusion India cannot DO ANYTHING.
