Gudrun Sjodan! Yes! I just found that brand at my rural local thrift store a couple months ago. I was so glad I looked though the tops that day because the top I found in a size XL sold for $90!
Great sales! I learned a few new labels from this video. Sales were incredibly slow this week for me on both eBay and PM. Hoping for a better week ahead.
80 degrees! Wow. We are at a balmy 52 degrees today...really warming up LOL. And it rained everyday in March I think and trend moving into April too now. Dreary. I still wear my warm fleece jogger outfit indoors now, even today. Yep, live near Seattle. Its been such a cold rainy spring, I can't hardly imagine what 80 degrees looks / feels like. we got 2 or 3 nice days in March (still rained at night though) and it was like in the 60's. I am praying for nicer weather again so we can go to some garage sales. Ok back to you vid...I just had to say (hehe).
I love the brand Gudrun Sjoden! I have found 2 dresses over my reselling years and they do well! I had to look up that name...now I know for sure it is always a BOLO! One of mine had wash wear also! Great brand!
Hi Caley, just last week I listed 2 pairs of women’s size 16 Silver jeans. They both sold for full price within 3 days! So I listed a pair of size 6 that I was just going to re-donate to see if they would sell too. They sold yesterday! I think anything thick stitch is coming back.
Honestly your GoodWill prices are much better than we have heard in the Pacific NW. They have upped the price on any name brand items that are desirable, to $19 or more. I’ve found things priced higher than on Ebay. A cashier told me last week they are going to raise their prices again. Guess I’ll be sticking to the bins. You are very good at consistently and knowing your market! Kudos!
Thank you for the suggestion / motivation to slash prices on stale items. I’ve managed to unload about 10 items in the last 24 hours that were about to be sent back to GW. Not much profit but at least I’m not losing money! And it makes sense what you said about the algorithm recognizing stale inventory as a negative. I appreciate you!
I guess it may help a lot to put seasonal things away to list shortly before their season.. it would be more work for sure, I can’t do that at this time because my inventory intake/garage sales and thrifting is too finicky and I would be listing too few… I feel like that would be a really good idea for very large stores who bring in a ton of inventory
Yes !!! Found that brand twice at the bins ! I had the issue of not knowing what brand that was but I checked the care tag and it does have their website on there and not in cursive - in case it’s easier to find the name -
I love your channel. You share the most interesting and helpful info. I have a question for you… I am collecting some things and going to open an eBay store since I am at the beginning stages of this, would you suggest that I only post items related to spring and summer right now and hold off on my winter clothes to help boost my presence on eBay? You got me thinking in your video today that if I have items sitting there that no one is buying, it can hinder my visibility. Thoughts?
I would definitely suggest listing the spring summer items first to get the ball rolling. If you can hold out til colder weather to list those items you can, but you'd be sitting on them for awhile. You might also try listing the colder weather items at a lower price to move them and get your money back to invest into more seasonal appropriate items.
Your jeans are the same price as ours in GW and the dresses were $11.25. It is so hard to find something worth picking up in jeans and dresses now because of the initial price. Our Goodwill has 75% off tag of the week, but all the better brands are usually gone, but it can be good for picking up ordinary bread and butter (if it is still there) or unknown brands.
Mine's the same way. 8.99 for dresses & jeans. Anything half-decent they up-price to 12.99. Especially if it's NWT. Doesnt matter if its Loft or Walmart.. it's getting marked up. One of the GW's in my district had a NWT A&F T shirt marked to $25. I rarely ever bother to shop the color of the week because I'm in my store several times a week going through new racks & combing the aisles for the new color barb so I've already gone through & left those items behind when they first came out. They start pulling the sale color the first day of the sale, so by the 3rd day it's off the floor completely.
Knowing that you're in Ohio also gives me even more inspiration. I've been doing this part time and now want to go full time to supplement my social security. I was beginning to think it wasn't possible living here. Thanks for sharing!
Surplus in the military means, "left over and it does not meet regulations anymore" or " made too many and need to get rid of it." Run the word together instead of breaking it up into Sur/Plus.
Thanks so much for introducing new brands to us! Very helpful when I'm thrifting! Btw, if the buy cost is low enough, I would still pick up Birkenstocks in rough condition. I've sold a pair with chunks out of the soles for $20-25 with overseas shipping before! I think people wear them as a badge of honor!☺️ Keep up the great work!
Do you do auctions or buy it now? I feel when I do auctions for say $5 start, the buyer waits til the 7 days is over and I don’t get any eyes on it then they end up getting the item for $5! Which is what I originally paid! I have learned to price my auctions a little higher now! Your thoughts?!
storage space optimization question .... is there a reason that two rows of shelves are NOT placed back to back? Are you for some reason accessing boxes from both sides of the shelving unit as opposed to just one side?
@@cayleyelaine Have you thought about going magazine method since you're already going numerically & assigning items numbers? I recently switched to it and I've already cut my used inventory boxes down in half after condensing what I already had listed. I've started crossposting some of my depop-y items over to depop.. and I don't get the 4 photos at all!!! That just is a PAIN having to go into photos and add typed measurements in.
I made 7900 in gross sales after fees and before COG last month - it was my biggest month ever I was so proud after listing 10/day for 6 months
Congrats!!
Yassss get it!

I typically by most of my merchandise off season and pack it away. I have less competition and it ends up being cheaper

Their website is beautiful!! So glad Cayley mentioned it!!

I’m in the PNW, also. Prices are so painful! Even worse at Value Village. GW looks cheap after a trip to VV.
Thank you for posting.

I am pretty sure Gudrun Sjoden is a Swedish brand. Looks like they make stuff in Greece.
Wow great sales!

Can you do a tutorial on how you do closet clear out? I use it but feel like I’m not using it to its full potential somehow.

I only do buy it now.

We just honestly hadn't thought about it. We will probably do that once we run out of space.
Pretty sure somebody says this on every one of her videos lol
