Not sure if this was mentioned already, but at 1:15 the altitude designation is incorrect. It works as 0 to 5000 feet = 0 5000 to 15000 feet = 1 15000 to 25000 feet = 2 25000 to 35000 feet = 3 35000 to 45000 feet = 4 45000 to 55000 feet = 5 Etc...
Sometimes the missile wont fire any reason for that ? Also is the fire button the same button you use to fire your main gun. I know in the f16 the gun and missiles have seperate triggers
So all I need to do is: 1. turn air to air mode on 2. switch master arm on 3. select AIM-54 and wait the plane signal on radar flashes, so it means it’s locked on 4. hold the trigger for 3 seconds Done Is that correct? Is that all I have to do to shoot Phoenixes? Is really that easy?
Afirm, as soon as the radar has picked them up, jester is pretty quick to identify them as hostile then you can fire, also just make sure you have the AIM-54s selected
@@SkunkMcFunk awesome to hear that! Could you also make a Vulcan, sidewinder and sparrow easy tutorial like the one about the phoenix ? Cause I’m looking around on yt but I find only long difficult and complicated tutorials Thank you very much!!
@@ruggerorandisi7785 I accidentally learned to use the sidewinder yesterday. I did not know how to properly shoot aim-54 and missed 2 times and the hostile was already pretty close to me so i turned to sidewinder, we merged and heard the tone change when my large + was on him and shot, it was a quick impact and easy. Im going to try aim-54 now cheer McFunk
They will produce a launch warning when launched in STT and are guided by the AWG-9 all the way to impact. In TWS they will only cause a launch warning when the missile goes pitbull at 16 seconds TTI.
In the RIO control look for HCU half action, and HCU full action. Half action will let you slew around the radar (as long as you have the HCU up / down / left / right mapped) then HCU full action will let you select whatever the cursor is on
idk what im doing wrong, I have a lock and everything and did everything u said or even other videos say and when I hold down the trigger for 3 seconds or even more it doesn't fire?

It works as
0 to 5000 feet = 0
5000 to 15000 feet = 1
15000 to 25000 feet = 2
25000 to 35000 feet = 3
35000 to 45000 feet = 4
45000 to 55000 feet = 5
Etc...
quick and to the point! I am now a more dangerous pilot. Thanks!
Yep I've been doing it the hard way for sure. Wow. Thanks for this tutorial.

@@RAVIOLIdS oh ok thanks
Damn.. when u realize you've been firing phoenix the difficult way this whole time....
Idk how to select from Sparrow to AIM-54 missilies can you tell me please?
Sorry the Aim-54 is on it's own selector for the stick, this means on your hotas you have to bind a new key to the phoenix selector
@@SkunkMcFunk I figuref out today however thanks
I dont know why but my Phoenix missiles NEVER Hit, i dont Break lock and follow documentation
same here
what range are you shooting it at? What is your elevation and speed, and what is the enemy aircrafts closure and aspect?
Do AIM54s not give a lock/RMR to the enemy plane being fired on?

What head tracker u are using
it says i got 0 phoenix's but i just rearmed up
How do u get that circle selector thing on rio’s radar?
