Did you or anyone in the comment even had any issues? Especially with the Dct transmissions? I've ordered mine and im getting worried the more i see kia apparently having unreliable Dct transmissions in other videos or car articles. I'm asking you to you guys the owners now! Thanks, can't wait to get my car but i dont want to be stuck with issues.
@@SiGuy_YT did you ever got to get that checked somewhere? it's worrying me more by the day. I currently have a 2019 forte EX but the shift to the DCT with the issues i'm hearing is stressing me tf out
I took it to the dealer once. They couldn’t replicate the problem since it only happened every once in a while. I just dealt with it. At least the Kias do come with a long warranty, so you should be good if you run into problems. Get it brand new if you can
@@SiGuy_YT yeah but do you have to pay for any part of the warrenty or it covers the full transmissions and you dont have to put 0$? and yup brand new 2023
Hi! Got mine since 1 year now, and since then, my only complain would be the lazynest of the DCT on normal mode when driving slowly. Other than that, it is perfect. Got a observation, did you noticed how good the exhaust sound on cold start forvthe firts 45 second? Is there anyway to keep that sound permanently?
@@kevinperez8784 I guest you talk about the DCT? Most of people dosen't understand how DCT work. It's none less than a manuel transmission without a clutch. Sometime at slow speed, or on a street corner, it act a little bit jurky, other than that, it is very engaging when drived more agressively. Let me say that, i would take a DCT with it little flaws a million time over a fuxxing CVT...
I’ve only noticed it if you’ve been driving mellow for a while on smart mode and then suddenly you start switching up the throttle without getting into sport mode and the transmission goes “whoa wait what? Oh shit here we go!”
When to the dealer for servicing 1 month ago, told them about the lazynest in normal mode, it appears that an update is available for that, they reprogrammed it. It's not perfect, but a little bit better. It's a well knowed problem with DCT...
I’m waiting on mine to arrive. Sporty Blue. Gravity grey was my second option incase the dealership couldn’t find one in blue. Pretty much the same like this but with heated rear seats and heated cooled fronts and the Harman Kardon
If youre in the US, the rear seats are not heated nor ventilated. Theyre just sofino leatherette like the front seats. I’m not 100% sure but I think thats in all markets (rear seats not being heated/vent). In the US, the DCT fully loaded is the GT2, in Canada it is Limited trim.
These things take very well to basic mods. So far I have done RaceChip GTS, full custom exhaust, Injen Intake, and the Evilla Chassis Kit (Sway bar, strut tower brace, and tie bar). Next is the Eibachs. There are better options than the Racechip, but even it makes a huge difference. I've owned Supras, and although this car is not in the same league, but it's a ton of fun to mod and is very sleepy. So much fun to drive. RT challengers get ate up on a daily down here.
@@daphenom45 plenty of times. They are only running 0-60 in mid 5s and 1/4 in low 14s or high 13s. It doesn't take much more than a few extra psi of boost to beat them. A 2.5t accord is faster than an RT Charger/challenger
I got a 2021 GT2 in Deep Sea Blue almost 3 months ago. I’m at about 4,500k miles and like to take some different routes to hear the car. Lol you should go through some tunnels, it’s amazing. 🙌🏻🏎
That’s completely normal behavior of a DCT type transmission at low speeds like stop and go traffic for example. Just the nature of the beast unfortunately. VW’s DCT does the same.
Man I’m saving bad to buy one of these, trying to put the biggest down payment I can, pray for me guys 🙏
You're going to loooove this car!! Keep saving. It will be more than worth it. Every day is better bcs I get to drive the Forte GT.
I will get mine on Monday I am so excited for that. It looks like a really good car.
It is, you’ll like it. Getting another Forte sometime this year
@@SiGuy_YT how come you’re getting another one?
Well, I got rid of it. Kinda regret it now.

I haven’t experienced really issues with mine. I just had some weird shifting issue kinda thing but it only happened every once in a while.

You shouldn’t have to pay for anything. I had some warranty work on my old Kia. It didn’t come out my pocket for that.

Unfortunately, I do not know.
Get a good custom exhaust. Most shops can hook it up for a few hundred. Check out my channel if your curious.
A resonator delete helps makes the car's exhaust more audible especially the shift pops. I love it. And no drone either.
hey what would you say about the transmission ? apparently kia’s have a bad rep with its transmissions . what would you say about this ?

The transmission gets confused sometimes there a slight lag hunting for gears. It’s normal I heard
Ummm I havent noticed that. Maybe bc most of the times when I wanna make a fast overtake I find myself dropping gears myself.

Just buy a pedal throttle controller

Clutch is engaging and disengaging. All dct do it you gotta find the finesse to make it better

19 inch rims .my Bd22 GT has 18inch

How do you turn the fogs on?
It’s on the light stock
You can get dual climate control in the GT. Waiting on a bank approval for one with it right now.
