- Track 1 of the audiovisual album Oscilloscope Music
available at oscilloscopemus...
What you see is what you hear: The audio signal is fed directly into the oscilloscope, where vector graphics are drawn with sound.
Filmed from an analog Tektronix 5103N scope.
left audio channel: horizontal deflection
right audio channel: vertical deflection
software used: Max MSP, OsciStudio & blender (sequence starting at 2:30), Ableton Live
this tickles my ears
The Kombine and it feels awesome
The Kombine asmr.... Imagine asmr visualized like this
yea... i wonder what asmr would look like on an oscilloscope
I came down here to day the same thing!
It does.
ah jeez
this started playing in a background tab and i thought my speakers were dying lmao
a glorious death
they have seizure
that happened exactly to me
I thaught my headphones were dieing
LOL!
this would be a good surround sound tester
it still would go around the room
i am at 7.1 headset, and i hear the exact placement of the dots, in 7.1. its awesome
no, i have an headset on my head.
you try it then with a 7.1 on. see if you still think i am a liar
robert linke It would work, but it wouldn't use all 7 channels. Only your 2.
12 pm me: i need to sleep i have exeam tomorrow
3am me : oscilloscope music
Alp Gökalp
Hah so funny and original
How was your exam? Are you repeating year?
@@NotMe35971 You fucking idiot it's a joke
Aynen
@@f4fphantomii468 The idiot is you. This "joke" is so lame and old, nobody enjoy it any longer. On other hand I was sarcastic in my previous reply. Now, beat it.
If anyone watching this has a subwoofer, take a look at it while this is playing.
This song gives it one hell of a workout.
how to wreck speakers, track 1
Yeah, my ears are much stronger after hearing this, thanks :D
Thanks now I’m in heaven
I thought it was gonna break lol
It was plain green all the time, lol
I really like how this song is kind of visually teaching you how oscilloscope music works without telling you anything, so that you might have a better understanding and appreciation for the later tracks.
I particularly like this one because you can hear the vertical and horizontal changes separately in the left and right speakers. Particularly in the early parts of the track with discrete clicks
or pitch. horizontal is higher pitched than vertical, i think
Why is this so God damn interesting?
because reasons
because matrix
RiotPunch it’s a sensation your brain doesn’t get very often and in such a rhythm. So your brain wants to keep listening even if it hurts a tad bit
An oscilloscope literally visualizes sound. That's fucking epic.
This is how you sing in Braille
Underated comment
lol
* laughs in Morse code *
lol
I think this is indeed how Braille people sing
Friendly PSA: this is SO much more friendly to listen to with headphones on rather than through your speakers.
Except for earbuds, it feels like they are tickling you
Maybe if you don't have good speakers
Honestly i think this thing is damaging my speakers lmao
@@NeoRazor That's most mobile devices.

my earbuds zapped me.
oh yeah! good ol electricity.

This really challenges the definition of music. Very well done! The entire album is fantastic!!
Zanzlanz || heya zanzlanz, where are your new videos? 3 months without posting :(

@@yoshijack7793 I've been spotted, my cover is blown! (Several times the past 5 years apparently lol)
hi :)
No it doesn't, because this isn't music. He just calls it that.
This is electronic ASMR

The best kind
I got hit with it too.
My cat would love this.
Composing Gloves played this to my cat.
He’s now a tiger
he's a thing, would love if that's not him as it seems but not background

Personal ear massage thanx

People who know nothing of electronic music often lam-bast if for being "just noises" yet here is 3 minutes of electronic buzzing which displays a greater understanding of music and sound than any mainstream album in that it actually sounds good.
It physically hurts to listen to, music should not cause this
I know, the tight rhythm and the different clicks really does well with the minimalism.
@@gary4130 well, it causes an emotional reaction stronger than other musics.
@@gary4130 it feels nice to me tho, like a massage. But like a massage, I understand why it could hurt. I recommend finding something else, or try a different song from this guy. This is definitely the most •○• of the songs
It's experimental, messes with your head. You either love it or hate it depending on your chemistry.
I rummaged my room just to find my headphones for this. Worth every second of tickly ears
🐸
can confirm, this one is very tickly
Now why the hell was I not taught this in my electrical engineering program?
I'm downloading this to try it out on my school's oscilloscope! (Electrical Engineering) :D
hate to be that guy but......
after two years, im your hundredth like
Ikr
wouldnt it be more calculus
Vector graphics are computer science.
it kinda hurts a bit
I tried to turn it down but it didn't help lol
a it'll get better once you get used to it s-senpai
it's because of the frequencies, not the volume
It gives my subwoofer one hell of a work out, this song is full of EXTREMELY low frequency sounds.
tap
Sounds a bit like a drum corps. Really cool work!
This album loops in on itself, with Reconstruct ending with a single dot in the middle of the screen just as this song begins.
shiiiiit i didnt catch that
When he said "." I felt that 😔
I want someone to turn this into an osu map
Y E S
Jeez would it be fun
This would be either pretty cool or literally impossible
That would be so cool
Perfect idea
There could be a real home for this kind of music in VR!
No
Hell yeah 😎
DUDE IM WATCHING THIS VIDEO IN A PITCH BLACK ROOM WITH AN AMOLED SCREEN AND ITS AWESOME
lmao did the same and it's feels like im in a real cinema
Thx for idea:D
The tapping is ominous but reassuring and I love it
“Huh, this teleportation device is pretty cool.”
Everytime it plays in my left ear my left hip tickles and i cant stop flinching
my forehead feels tingly as im watching this. can confirm, this one makes my head twitchy.
I was stretching my neck and this started playing. I thought I broke my spine
I was blowing my nose while wearing headphones and thought i blew to hard-
Give me them memes Haha
It's been years and this still scratches the itch in my brain
I saw the face of god, and it's an AI running on an windows 95 mashine in a basement, somewhere in southern california.
And God may be slightly Autistic.
WIn 95 is pretty good

This tickles an itch in my ear that I didn't know I had
For most music I watch on the computer, the computer is merely a portal to the music.
But for this, my computer is the instrument.
It is a live performance, an immersing experience as I hear the waves echo from my speakers across the room.
And I bask in the magic as the clicks turn to waves.
This is true art. Thank you.
This song gives me a vivid picture of being chased by a monster. Your footsteps (dot ping) getting faster each time you hear the beast roar (the melodic portions). It sounds like growling in the most beautiful way. It's very inspiring!!
When I first listened to this I thought my earbuds were broken. Lol
Eye Doctor: " Follow the dot with your eyes."
Basic sound: nearly identical to my headphone’s driver moving accidentally from air pressure
The music: a harder jam than grandma’s homemade glue jelly
1:33 it's like massage for my ears
the noise somehow unlocked emotions i never knew existed in me
earbuds in and its a whole other experience. ive never felt like the sound was going into my mind until today.
This song is a good introduction into how oscilloscopes show sound
i never thought you could describe asmr as aggressive until now
this is one hell of a listening experience with good headphones
Thank you jerobeam and hansi3d for introducing this art to the world.
Don't forget Chris Allen
I CAN _F E E L_ THIS MUSIC
*INSIDE OF ME* ALL THE WAY TO MY BRAIN STEM-
IT TICKLES ME EARS
Amazing expirience wearing headphones!
This is amazing! It kinda felt like i had pins and needles in my ears but in a good way. Good work!
I'm a new subscriber after seeing your work over on TechMoan's RUclips Channel once he repaired his busted oscilloscope!!!
Awesome Work With Dots!!!!!
I am absolutely going to transcribe this for a Snare drum and/or Drum set. This is so dank
I can literally feel the sound in my ears. All the little taps and zaps
listening to this with headphones is an interesting experience
The calibration of the user's Audio Receptors have been successfully oriented... ready for use...
For extra confusion, put your headphones on backwards
This how my foot feels like when it falls asleep
(Puts on dr doofenschmirtz voice)
Ah yes one of my greatest creations
I call it the headacheinator!
This machine will give headaches to the whole tri - state area!
This feels like a creature that belongs to a higher dimension (the dot), performing some strange ritual or trying to communicate with us. Then it brought friends. Great job, it’d fit in perfectly as a clip in a horror game! Trippy and disturbing. XD
This makes my ears feel good
Why is this so cool
I both do and don't regret listening in headphones
My spine moved around weird listening to this help
This is a true music video.
The last time I heard something this fresh and exciting was Daft Punks Homework, not comparing them but it gives much excitement hearing this for the first time. Bought the audio visual album today
I highly recommend wearing headphones
THIS IS FANTASTIC
Who knew microphone popping could sound so good
This is trully beautiful! has an ASMR feeling to it.
Its 1 AM and im watching this
This is like breakcore of asmr
1:51 it's surprising when you hear a rich sound like that all at once, after getting used to the short "one point" sound
now the music IS the video
this is music for mathematic nerds. I can't stop thinking how every sound frequency changes what we see in the osciloscope. Fantastic
Dude. That sound tickles.
0:50 sound like when sid the sloth got all the other sloths dancing
This is kind of the coolest thing I've ever seen
YES
This reminds me of Frums' Wavetapper and I'm all for it.
I can feel my brain being massaged and my ears cleaned
I’m stoned as fuck listening to this entire album and i am weirdly enjoying this too much
this touches my ears too
Just discovered your stuff man.. And all I can say is sweet fucking lord, this is my. New favorite channel.
You're doing some seriously innovative stuff and I can't get enough of it :))
Very nice hearing these E.T. samples.
I can not truly explain just how insanely awesome this is! All of it!
i feel electrecuted and tickled at the same time help
2:12 sounds like a siren starting to wail...
Teacher: Yes you need to read that much fast to finish this exam.
This feels like an old atari/c64 sound demo and I love it
I can't get enough!
The one and only headphone test.
This is just pure genius!
This is the only video to ever illicit an asmr response from me
Lol, this just triggered my ASMR. Was not expecting that. 😂
Yeah, a little bit
Great use of square waves!
