Easy to follow didn’t even need the manual and this video is more clear and simple on what to do. My lock works great now!
This was a clearer guide than the one that came with the box. Thank you for the video, Schlage
Great job on installation of this product! One of the best, most articulate explanations I’ve found on RUclips for how-to-do projects. ❤
Nice job with the instructions,thanks.
i kept thinking that i was doing something wrong lol.... because it looked like the door knobs were going in uneven
but it looks like yours is too... so i guess i'm not wrong?

no
@@airrejp he bought this lock. It does have an auto lock
@@sunkneee oh mine doesn’t lol
@@airrejp you need to type in a code , have to set it up, super easy, mine autolocks after two seconds
Yes you just turn the switch on the inside above the handle.
do i have to enter the code to close the door?
no
5:31 I needed to move this lock from one door to another. I couldn’t remember where the wires came together on the original install. Time stamp is 5:31 for those looking to do the same.
Can you lock it from outside?
No, This lock you would only be able to unlock from exterior, if interior thumb turn is veritical the lock is unlocked, if thumb turn is horizontal the lock is locked.
Easy to install from my first time 😆
My audible beeps went away after changing the battery. I used a lithium battery because the original alkaline only lasted a few months. Is there a setting that is not in the book or is it the lithium battery that dissables audio?
Update: I found it in the online instructions. Something that should be in the owners manual.
Hello,
It is possible that the Lithium batteries may be causing issues in regard to operation considering Lithium batteries do not provide the lock with the same output voltage as alkaline batteries. We highly recommend against using Lithium batteries. However, if your lock is draining batteries quickly, this could be another issue which needs to be looked at. Please contact us at consumerschlage@allegion.com or 888-805-9837 so we may assist you.
Can you use existing door latches? We have an extended latch on our door.
Hi Braden, can you please direct message us a picture of the front and back of our door to determine if it is compatible with this mode? Please also include the length of the latch your are inquiring about. Thank you and have a safe day!
how do i get thing thing to stop locking 3 seconds after opening?
Thank you for reaching out to Schlage support. When the interior thumb turn is vertical the lock is unlocked and acts as a passage lever and when the interior thumb turn horizontal the thumb turn is lock is locked and code required to open door from exterior. For any additional assistance please contact us at 888-805-9837.

Perfect guide
Nice!
I can't open the door, maybe the battery is too low?
Hi! The emergency battery jump start can be used if your battery is dead to unlock your door. Connect a new high-quality alkaline 9 volt battery to the contacts below the touchscreen keypad. Do not remove the battery until you have opened the door. Enter a user code into the keypad. Rotate the thumbturn towards the hinges, or pull the handle down to retract the latch and open the door. Replace the dead battery with new 9 volt battery. Please reach out with any questions! -Cindy
What happened if you battery goes down you are locked out of your house can't get back in you are out of luck
Thank you for reaching out to Schlage support. On the front of your keypad there are two prongs that are the battery jumpers to jump start the battery so your able to open the door.
@@SchlageLocksOfficialI am currently locked out from my house how do I get it jumped
Hello, thank you for reaching out and I do apologize for the delay in response and the issue you have experienced with your lock! In the event that the keypad is unresponsive due to low battery you can connect a 9V alkaline battery to the terminals below the lever/thumb-turn on the Touch-series locks. This will allow enough power to enter your code and unlock the door. If we can assist you with this model please reach out to us at 888-805-9837 or email consumerschlage@allegion.com.
My inside door handle won’t open!!! What did I doooo

Can I change the code to get in?
Don't get one of these if you live in a cold climate. They are NOT meant to be used on outside doors if you actually have weather. -14°F and we are locked out in the cold. Going back to a normal key lock.
When the battery approaches low it beeps and flashes red. After this i still had almost 2 weeks until i changed the battery. I am in the cold.
Someone closed the door before we could look at the code currently locked out
Hi, Natalie. Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, without one of the codes, you will need a locksmith to remove the lock. Let us know if you have questions. Thanks, Jenny.
what if one day you locked yourself out and the battery went dead on you?
Dat Khuong You can jump the battery connections with a new 9V battery, which will give power to the lock, so you can enter your code. Apparently, the lock can be electrically jumped to get power from the outside. You just need to know the code. Anyone can jump power, but they need the code to get in.
