Thanks for giving it exposure and saving me bringing the bike to the PC. I've got the Bafang 750w and from factory had the max amps set at 25amps. Set it back down to 18amp and lowered some of my PAS to conform with 25km/h max speed. Anyone trying don't forget to READ settings before changing any settings or you will get very odd results.
I want 3 major requirements from my Bafang 500w mid drive:1) Maximum speed on bike paths of 20kph, 2) Maximum Range from 36v Battery to cope with a 50km event, 3) No restrictions on my highest level of PAS which is level 5. Can you advise which options to change to achieve my goals?
To be Honest it is a year or two since I looked at this but your goals are very modest so should not be difficult. for max speed select a lower assist number that matches 20kph. Maybe make the change to 9 settings which is easy and Google will show you how. Unless your battery is rubbish or your very lazy/unfit or disabled 50km should be easy on an ebike. For no restrictions you need to set the power for level 5 to 100% and the help area of the app should help you.

Thank you for this very informative video. I have a Bafang 250w m400 motor. When I pedal I have a feeling that the engine only helps up to a certain point. Than I have to switch into a higher gear ( cassette gear ) and then it helps again. Do you know if there is a setting where I can prolong this help limit? I don't have a throttle, only pedal assist.
As far as I know they will assist up to a set rpm and torque for each assist level. This means for example on assist number 2 it will assist up to maybe 30rpm. These are made up numbers but in this instance if you are using 1st gear you'll get maybe 5mph before the rpm peaks, you change to 2nd and the rpm will reduce a little initially then increase to the set rpm again so it's the rpm of the pedals we're talking about. Without a throttle it will not be easy to overcome this.
@@alibro7512 Thank you for the reply. Is it possible to increase the rpm peak for each assist level? Would that help? I feel it even more when I ride uphill. Serial#??? Motor Is 750w
By The Way 🙄
Looks That I'm The Only
One With This Problem
@@danielandujar5479 I don't think it will work with a new device like yours.
Hi, i have bafang m400 UART, display DPC 18 4.2 U - can i change any settings you mentioned in the video? Could i brick my controler if programm will be incompatible with my motor?
If it is not compatible it won't connect so no harm in trying.
@@alibro7512 Thank you for your answer :) I will try it tomorrow.
It goes with Key-Display LCD KD21 and Bafang G020 ?
Sorry I don't know.
@@alibro7512 Ok thx Bro
Mine just keeps saying no device found I have the red light on the USB cable but won't find device?
What model of Bafang mid drive do you have?
@@alibro7512 it's the bbshd but I've heard it will not connect to the speeed app if it has 52v firmware
@@sickswan61 I hadn't heard that but I have heard it will not connect to the newer BBSHD.
@@alibro7512 possibly due to the firmware I was told by the dealer who sold me mine all the new bbshd are flashed for the 52v firmware probably why they are all limited to 28a with the firmware
@@sickswan61 I guess that makes sense. I bought my bbs01 a few years ago so I'm not up to date with current models.
Ciao si puo' usare anche nelle fat bike col motore bafang nella ruota posteriore ho scaricato l app
Translated
Hello, it can also be used in fat bikes with the bafang motor in the rear wheel I downloaded the app
That's really interesting, I thought it only worked for mid drives. Thanks for letting us all know.
it works fantastic ;-)
the Speedlimit is only how long help the Motor, thats up to 40,but you can drive faster, but the Motor dont help over 40 kmh.
a 58T on the Motor and a 11T on the Back Gear made you fast, but the Motor notice on the Display 40 Kmh and say-NO ;-) if you move the Speedsensor show your Display a lower Speed and so help the motor longer and you drive over 40 because the fail Speedsensor result.
Is there an ios app also?
I don't think so. I don't think this one is supported any more now either.
What all cables do I need
Only the cable listed in the video description and an OTG adapter if you don't already have one.
Need updated program for android
NEW app coming SOON CALLED speeded
Thanks for the heads up.
Sing me up please I’m about to buy a new bbs02 model within the next 30 days.
Ended up buying a BBSHD in March 2023 with a DP C18 (UART) which has the ECO & SPORT Pass 5 settings. When connecting to Speeed it recognizes it as a BBS03. Haven’t altered any settings yet. Sport definitely consumes battery life faster. Ran a 22mile flat course in ECO and had 30% battery left vs Sport ending at 20%. That’s on a 51V 19.2 ah battery.
What's the cabl name please
BBS01, BBS02, BBSHD Reprogramming cable, links in the video description
Useless bit of info for you, just in case you would like to know what OTG means. It means "On The Go".
Just in case you like to know. 😂
Do you have to comment on every single damn thing? Just introduce the app briefly. 3minutes of content but you managed to do it in 14mins
Thanks for your kind words.
il video e ok...ma sei troppo veloce nelle spiegazioni...vai più low
For anyone having issues after making changes take a look here to see my settings. I'm not claiming they are optimal but they seem to work. photos.app.goo.gl/zjZWdRFmcNVtyBUe9
If your controller has a different firmware it may not be exactly the same but hopefully this will help.
Wat is the over cable cold to bike I av the otg cable
