In a special application, when you turn the engine to have the output shaft upwards, will lubrication fail? More specifically the application is a large(ish) model helicopter so the output shaft needs to look upwards. PS: The model helicopter will have its own dedicated fuel tank so the stock tank will be removed. Thanks.
The GX50, GX35 and as far as I know the GX25 as well all operate happily at all angles and orientations but do not like to be stored with the cylinder head downwards as that allows oil to seep past the rings into the cylinder ala the AN2's radial engine bottom cylinder. Otherwise they will operate happily all day and night long at any angle. Be aware the diaphragm fuel pump in the carburetor only has so much capacity so don't have the tank too many feet/meters from the engine.@@skorkmaz

@@Bubbaomw do you own the mk435 or 450? How has your machine been? I have found various bad reviews about it. I don't know if I should go for sthil fs55 or shindwaiwa c230 or makita 36volts battery.
Tahts great. My wife liked the honda stting trimmers. I was thinking of battery trimmers or sthil 2 mix. The battery due to safety but my wife liked the honda a lot. So we will go for the gx35 or the gx50. I will empty the gasoline tank by running the trimmer longer to waste the gas. Then the risk of fire is low and if it happens it wouldd be localize in the engine. I always choose stuff with wife and she is almost always right so im glad she liked hondas. We also have a honda crv car. @buhbuh4529
Are there upgrade parts available for this engine?

Mine bogs down and shuts off when I use full throttle but idles fine any ideas ?
likely the air fuel mixture is set wrong on the carburetor. also could be a dirty carburetor, or restricted fuel line.
@@lukeWiz44 turns out there was a smudge of oil stuck in the intake used intake cleaner to get it out plus the choke is weird on these things
I'm having the same problem how did you fix yours?
@@donkarlyonson3684 it was a smudge of oil in the intake I used intake cleaner and got it out also the choke is backwards on this thing

Rubber fuel hoses rot and pop off the carburetor and can cause a fire!
But is the poliurethan transparent hose better in the gx35 or worse?

Why cant i find any parts??? HONDA GX35 very easy to find parts for but the internet acts like the GX50 doesn’t exist
Really not even spark plugs, air filters or gasoline filters?
