Also I think MentalMisplay knows this, because he said “this card can hang,” which is a top-tier pun about suspend and about fruit HANGING a little too far away.
YEP - didn't even realize the Orrery was legendary, just dropped the sculpting steel on it 😅 thank you y'all for kindly pointing that out!! (It's even more embarrassing when I specifically made a non-legendary token later in the game 🤡)

As a first time parent on a 15 month old I really feel for Eilidh and the impact of tiredness on your ability to do day to day activities. A coffee in the fridge is a perfectly reasonable move my dude :). Great game guys and always happy to see Joey as a guest.
Can I just say how refreshing it is to see a mom doing her job WITH the baby in tow? And that being considered okay and normal? It’s very humanizing. I really appreciate people who are not trying to hide that 🤷
Humans have needs and relationships other than working. If ya gotta feed baby, it’s kind of important!!! And the content continues to be great, if not better for occasionally featuring the tiny voice of Wyatt.

This has quickly become my favourite MTG show. If it hadn't been for PleasantKenobi making an appearance, I may never have found it.
I absolutely adore and enjoy Eilidh and Olivia's sympathic style of hosting the weekly episode. This is another one with super nice guests and four awesome decks. There were so many shenanigans going on in this game - on the board and between the players. For many turns Joeye's deck doesn't do anything and then it explodes. ^^ This will stay one of my favourite episodes - cannot wait to see the next. 🙂

I would call the Liberator deck “The one thop hop for all your Artifact Needs” lol. I have plenty more dad jokes. I do love the games that are played here. So wholesome and fun 😊

Konrad is a beast. I remember casting morality shift with Konrad in play with an og eldrazi legendary and seeing the hope just drain from the table lol.
I love Konrad. He's my face Commander. Mine is a reanimatir version not a mill version. Looping Gray Merchant and Ravenous Chupabra is wonderful for watching the despair set in. 🤣 Mimic Vat is so crazy in the list.

Fun episode. Lots of exciting magic there. Sad to see Gix not do as much as I had hoped. Joey's deck looked fantastic. Olivia that deck was spooky and right up your lane. Eilidh I really want to see that deck list for Halana and Alena because that looked fun and it's actually a deck I want to build. Overall a great episode and I can't wait for more shenanigans next week 🙂
love seeing the games that get big boards and everyone is kind of cautious of each other. Olivia's deck was awesome to see go off, a real cool affinity artifact deck. Eili got big dumb monsters, joey with the wild deck, hopefully Alan can that 100 counters one game
It's pretty hard to never miss a trigger in most EDH games, but I can top that... I can't remember how many times I forgot I had Rule of Law out when I was doing early playtesting... WITH A TURBO RULE DECK. The whole game plan of the deck was to get out Rule and hide behind it, it was meant for high level play, so I could use annoying strategies (which can be fun), Rule meant I shouldn't lose right away to a fast combo. That is, if you don't forget the most important card in your deck is on the table.

So fun to see the decks doing so many fun crazy plays (Joey, this is why people play graveyard hate, btw). But I absolutely love the "roommates" (or gruulfriends), just build them myself (more budget than this one) and took it for a spin last weekend - just counters and big mana and lots of fun with Thundering Raiju. A real change of pace from what I usually play, it's so great.
So fun fact, that Halana Alena deck is _relatively_ budget conscious outside! The entirety of the landbase is nothing but basics too
That's awesome! I call myself a budget player bc...well, I am, but I am more and more convinced that the difference between "budget" and non is shrinking. You can build really good decks without spending a ton of money.
@@redbirdriot I totally totally get that! I've been trying to be tons more budget conscious with decks lately! $50-100 Gruul Beats is a huge happy place for me. You still get to feel like you're doing powerful stuff but you're doing it with unique, unappreciated cards.

And Eilidh, I also feel the brain not working thing. I've tried putting my coat on before a shirt, which is extra bad in Northern Ontario.
Also, my pet deck is Karn (all non-basic lands so when my wife asts Wave of Vitriol, it's extra great). Colourless is so much fun.

As someone who recent built a Liberator deck, I also ran into the trap of Arcane Signet and Commander's Sphere, but unfortunately, those artifacts add only colored mana from your commander's color identity, and since Liberator has none, they can't add any mana...sorry...
Shouldn't Sol Ring and Mana Crypt be disallowed for any colored commander then, as they only produce colorless mana?
@@adambandurak8913 there are 5 mana colors, but 6 mana types.
Colorless is a type not a color.
the reason they dont produce mana its because you can't chose a legal color to tap them for.
So happy someone says “and thennnn” and “No and then!” As well 😂
YES! I've been waiting to see Liberator commander deck since I first saw him. So much potential for cool tricks, like All Is Dust busted wipe, or Commander's Plate giving protection from ALL colours. I hope for continuation of colorless Olivia saga!))
I loved seeing Joey's Vohar deck pop off (as well as all the other shenanigans everyone else was doing). I also understand now why Matt and Dana run so much graveyard hate.
As a roommates connoisseur, I must point a missed +1/+1 counter on gyre sage evolve trigger at 18:45. Love those girls, so couldn't help myself.

Always excited to see both Alan and Joey as guests. I've had the pleasure of playing against one of Alan's Vecna decks during a Cardboard Command "Throwdown Thursday" event, and it was an absolute blast!
Pretty sure when Olivia played sculpting steel it should have sacked it right away cause the target was a legendary

54:35 I believe that the Nightmare Shepherd is already in the graveyard once the ability hits the stack? Damage is dealt, state-based actions (such as creatures dying if they have 0 toughness or damage greater than their toughness marked) happen, and then abilities hit the stack. I could be wrong though.

9:39 good news: the sword of truth and justice being referred to there can't hit Mox Tantalite because it isn't in play! You need cards that mess with time counters specifically for that, and all of those are from Timespiralblock

As a short person myself, I can attest: elbows become kidney shots. It works!
There is now a third art for Wastes. It came out in the Warhammer 40K Secret Lair. It's a waste with a picture of one of the Ork giant robots. Just food for thought four colorless deck players if you want more options for art.
Each of the 40k secret lairs had their own art for Wastes. So, 3 more arts, including Blood Bowl.
Alias' comment @ 45:27 about making a monochrome deck made me want to see if it's possible. I'm about 80% the way there on a Liesa, Forgotten Archangel deck with vampires and a few angels but the remaining cards missing are cards like mana rocks, some of the better legendary vampires and angels. I might just proxy the rest, but in black and white

Does tapping jeweled lotus for colored mana of any color count towards the colorless cost of the battle thopter, or any colorless creature for that matter?

I personally feel better about my own missplays whenever I see them from professionals. This game is too complicated not to missplay!
A quick NerdPause: You cant proliferate suspended cards. Proliferate only works on permanents and players, as I remeber.
