Good video. Thanks!👍 It's a good thing you mentioned the cmos battery. People sometimes seem to forget, that a bad/dead cmos battery, can cause this problem too.😃
I have a dell Inspiron laptop, year 2012, and it's hangs a lot. Can I just use the laptop hardware (Monitor, most importantly) with a mini pc as the cpu? This makes it a lot more portable than a desktop and the cpu can be upgraded in the future....
What if the Toshiba doesn't have a diagnostic option but you can get the drive and the ram to work in another laptop? I've tried installing the ram and drive both separately and together with no issues or errors on this second device. Model: Toshiba Tecra Z40-A

@@PC_Monkey when that drive is placed in a different computer yes. When i put the now newly imaged drive in the toshiba it tells me there are no bootable drives. Ive made sure the bios is set to UEFI to match the image and ive made sure hdd is listed as the first option in the boot menu.
@@joush0vosman You may be looking at a BIOS issue or a motherboard issue then with the computer its not working in :( Have you tried a manual BIOS reset by removing the CMOS battery for a while?
When I go to my BIOS under the HDD/SSD it says None next to it, does this mean my HDD that's built in the laptop is completely broken and I've lost everything?
Perhaps, yes, it could mean that :( Are you able to try any Restore or Repair options in BIOS? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
It says no bootable device - please restart system. I tried removing the HDD and putting it back in incase it was loose. On the bios screen it says 'None' under the HDD/SDD part and I can't do any recovery as it's saying there isn't a hardrive to recover. I've taken it in to a compute repair shop today, but thank you so much for trying!
Sir , my laptop is toshiba satellite pro r50-c.But problem is that my hdd is show in bios. I have already installed windows on harddrive. when i test the harddrive toshiba bios say that failed to read harddrive. Harddrive is good condition. Please help me Sir.
Sounds like your on the correct video. Have you tried the steps seen here? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
In 2020, I had to keep resetting my date and time on my computer, because it kept changing. Eventually, I took it in to be repaired by a computer technician who told me that the CMOS battery died and he had to replace it.

@@PC_Monkey the image is fine. Its been reinstalled several times. Tested across multiple devices but still gives the "no bootable disk" message.
@@joush0vosman You have reinstalled already successfully? When the install completes, you end up on a working desktop?

@PC_Monkey it crashed and "restarted" itself and from there it would no longer turn back on or find the HDD 😢

Does this apply for Dell latitude computer?
Same process but a bit different. You can see Dell here: ruclips.net/video/yMcwOaocs-k/видео.html
