I agree, no format can guarantee a job. But if you see what most newbies use this format will definitely get people hired faster compared to that. There is no Guarantee in the title, and i also state this fact within the first minute of the video.

Depends on the job posting, your experience and the publications. If the job is in a research institute then it can be a good option. That said , It has to be seen on a case by case basis if it actually makes sense.
No, its not necessary. Not connected to your question but if something benefits your application you may add it. Fore example If the job requires travelling then it could be a good idea to mention that you have a German/EU driving license.
